@Kaur10Hanji Bhen Ji. Dass did a quick Google search on this topic and found a few results from Gurmatbibek forum as they have very strict Bibek Gursikhs which should help answer the question.

Apologies, could not find the right section to post this question!

My dog eats the usual pet food (non-veg) but very calm and good breed (bichon).  Sometimes when I am doing Naam simran sitting on the bed in the evening, she enters my room and sits on the floor quietly.  I cover her head and let her listen.

I always close my door when doing Nitnem and Naam Simran in the morning (on the floor).

On Sundays, I give her Karah-Prasad on a clean kitchen towel, thinking she would benefit from it.

Am I doing right or wrong? Someone who owns a pet would better understand what I am doing and why ?

I'm not sure what Gurmat Bibek said but respectfully giving your dog prashad occasionally should be fine both physically and spiritually.

Veer ji the links are working but you just have to scroll down the page links. But i can copy and paste the messages if you want bro.

Yeah the links are working, just need to scroll down.
i would stop giving her prasaad and try to give her veg diet. It would be difficult to give well balanced veg diet in the beginning, would see how it goes. Always worth trying.

@GurjantGnostic do you mean where a Sikh was rushing to get Prasad and other Sikh said ‘ kio richh vaangu tappi jaanda ‘ and he became bear in the next life due to bachans.

Wjkk wjkf bhen ji. As dass hasn't got a pet and doesn't know any Gursikhs that do have pets its hard for me to say what's right or wrong about keeping a pet. But i do remember my Dad's mama ji in Punjab he used to give parshad to his pet dog and he loved it.

I remember that i heard in katha of bhai vishal singh on sangat tv that its supposed to help the animal if they get karah parshad as it was a saakhi which i can't fully remember now.

The Gurmatbibek forum do have some interesting views about the subject but again its a matter of choice i guess.

But best of luck with the diet and see how it goes and hopefully everything will be good.

Yes. Don't they later give him Prasad as the bear?

Don’t remember, only remember he became bear in next life. May be someone else could help here!
i done google search but could not find that Saakhi.
I realised it is VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO GIVE NON-VEG PET PRASAAD.

You can give Karah Parshad and other Parshads to your pet.

The leftover langar used to be given to animals during the times of Sri Satgurue jee (Third Master).

Khande da Amrit is only meant for humans. That cannot be given to animals. Other forms of Amrit (Sarowar, Paath, etc) can also be given to animals.

Bhul chuk maaf
