To be honest. Looking at my generation (I'm a millennial) I am seeing that most of this generation as well as Gen Z is moving towards The Guru (i.e history, rehat, traditions, beliefs etc) as compared to our previous generations in which we see a promotion of the "emi-temi" sikh/sikh missionaries.
However, the only issue we face with this information is whether the panth is willing to learn or will they run off with their manmat, or jathabadhi mat, or sant baba mat.
Looking at the forums, and knowing some amritdhari Sikhs myself, some are still stuck in that entanglement of Sant Baba says Vs Guru Says... I have gone through this myself recently.

To be honest, there is a whole host of reasons.
But for me. This move towards being non violent white kurta pyjamas wearing "sikh" is something I see as the reason to why we are in the state we are in.
We failed ourselves, our heritage and culture so of course the brits will take this opportunity to weed us out to be poster boys for the queen and the British empire.

It's hilarious how Bollywood can never seem to find a sikh to play the role of a sikh.
I've got nothing against Amir Khan, or his choice to play a sikh.
It's just that I have only seen non Sikhs, play the role of Sikhs.
However, I must admit I don't want Bollywood movies any more. Sooo

They're linked. Not saying you can't focus on one or the other. I'd be careful chasing Shakti without Bhakti.

And no. I don't read Gurmukhi Ji. I'm a convert. I come here to discuss Sikhi because it is my Sangat. I'm only schooled by Gurbani itself, in english, Katha, and this site.
So what you see aren't posts by an expert, not mine, you see my education being conducted with zero filters.

Like said before. Your English is actually better than some indigenous people. But it's sad that we've lost our true martial heritage. Here's hoping for a renaissance, and soon too.

Problem is that a lot of people hide behind bhagti. When I was younger it was commonly said that if you just do bhagti, Guru ji would instantly make you a super warrior when it was required. That was a cop out of the highest degree.

I wouldn't say they are necessarily linked. Yes in the pursuit of Dharma, having both helps accomplish the individual to seek liberation and to install liberation in this world.

Does Shakti really come from Bhakti?
One can be a bhagat, but it doesn't mean they posses shakti (unless we are speaking of ridh sidh)
One can be a practioner of Shakti, and not be inclined towards Bhakti.
Isn't it more of a need of two of these separate energy's that one can practice dharma.

Rudra and Kali - can be interpreted as a devta and devi... but really they represent more the masculine and feminine aspects of Akaaal.

    Desi Baba,

Please reference further the Baba Deep Singh Granth as I have heard this many times in person when speaking with Sanatan Sikhs to the extent that his Gutka includes Uggardanti and a saroop of the Dasam Granth also contains this bani, however this is not referenced in any Dasam Granth study.

As per the Bhagautee Astother, what are your views on the following lines:-

"Parey preet so praat Astother Yaako, Karey RUDRA KALI namaskar taako"

lit. "Whosoever recites this Astother with due love (preet) and reverence, Rudra (Shiva) and Kali (Durga) shall bow to them"

This seems like an interesting post.
I am familiar with Ram Kavach, Bhram Kavach, and Sarabloh Kavach. However, I know nothing of Durga Kavach.
Can anyone share the gyan behind this bani?

There is no such thing as over the marriage age. This a desi mentality (also others). 40 is a reasonable age to be married.

If you have health problems you should look in to getting yourself checked. Mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually you should be healthy to live a happy life. Eat healthy, workout, meditate..you know the whole list

You're looking at yourself very negatively which is very anti-gurmat (in my opinion). You need self confidence. If you want you can always change the way you look, up your appearance, etc.

    I completely agree.
