IMHO, it is better to do 1 or 2 malas with full concentration, love, devotion, knowledge, etc, than do 6 or 8 malas without any focus, love, etc.
You can also choose a smaller Mantar, if you think you might be able to focus on that better.

Please do listen to the audio clip below. While you are sleeping, it would be a good idea for you to keep listening to the Jaap of Sri Mool Mantar (as you have chosen this mantar for recitations). It might help in implanting the Sri Mool Mantar into your subconscious mind.
Also, remember that vices and negative thoughts/emotions can possibly attack you, while you are sleeping (vulnerable state). The Jaap on an audio player might help with that too.

Daas understands your point, but GURBANI is our SATGURU. Any doubt on any GURBANI is a much BIGGER issue as compared to the other issues, which you mentioned in the post above.
JFYI, Dharna wala kirtan is NOT Kachi Bani. If that is Kachi Bani, then Dhadi Vaaran and Kavishar (which were both started by our Satgurus) themselves were also Kachi Banis.
Also, the photo used at Nanaksar is NOT a fake photo. It was made under the supervision of a Gurmukh Brahamgyani (Sant Baba Nand Singh jee Maharaaj).

Daas understands that we should not talk too much about controversial topics like Sri Raagmala Sahib, Jhatka Maryada, Sukha Maryada, etc, but Daas had a question for you.
This is a bit off-topic, but Daas hopes that the Sangat won't mind.
If there are 5 Gurmukh Brahamgyanis and out of them, 4 of them have the same opinion on a particular subject. The last one has a different opinion. Whose opinion will you follow? 
For me, it's very simple. Daas would follow the opinion of the majority (to be on the safe side).
