  1. Anti-admin cut, I have been told me that Bhai Randhir Singh quotes from Uggardanti in one of his writings on Rehat, I cant remember the name of the text and nor am I familiar with his writings but I wil try to find out.
  2. Anyone who reads the writings of dasam pathshah, our historic granths, our rehatnames, foreign commentries, writings by nihang singhs through the times or spends time with Nihang Singh mahapursh will find ample evidence and justification for the use of Sukhnidhan* by Nihang Singhs and indeed any other Sikh who wishes to use it, so long as it is not abused (which unofrtunately is sometimes the case). If someone chooses to blind themselves to the truth thats their problem. People who love using Gurbani in debates are ofen in need of learning Gurbani Arth properly and often fail to contexualise verses. There is an increasingly growing trend for people to understand Sikhi based on their uneducated** value judgements - this is the very definition of manmat. * likewise for Jhatka ** I use this language because most people do not ask innocent questions, but actively seek to undermine the Gurus maryada without knowing very much about them.
  3. Uggardanti.. 'Kareh Khalsa Panth Teesar Parveesah, Jugay Singh Jodhay Turay Neel Bhaisa'
  4. Whats the relationship of Sikhi with the six schools of Indian Philosophy?
  5. chatanga its a conspiracy to get rid of you
  6. save your 'oops' for judgement day. I think tSingh should be banned for trying to mislead the sangat.
  7. Good question, chatanga what happened to your old id?
  8. Is Nirgun Nirankar the same as (unmanifest) Brahman?
  9. Not sure who the Nihang Singh is in the picture. The answer to your second question is definetely yes. If not formally part of the oraganisation of the dal one has to atleast have a gurdev/jathedar who is a Nihang Singh.

  11. Guru Ji said people should wake up at amritvela, does that mean all those that wake up after 5-6 am cannot 'use' Guru Granth Sahib Ji?
  12. wow thats fascinating  lol, I cant help but chuckle everytime I read this.
  13. lol.. you boys need some gurm jal dalpanth style... with a big bit of sirh jorh
  14. Amardeep could you tell us more about the rehatmaryada you are talking about.
  15. Baba Prem Singhs garvaee makes fantastic garm jal, I also like the mini zoo he runs. Does Baba Ji still go wondering off into the jungle a lot?
  16. Slow down Sherlock Ali Holmes! He addressed his post to YOU, asked YOU to send him something, it was a bit hard for YOU not to "catch him red handed." Hardly detective work of the century. Is asking an author for their work stealing? With all due respect pindoo, sunni, Jatt or whatever someone may be, You dont really have any integrity to to judge anyone. If anyone reads what you have posted on the internet (under various names) your inconsistency in spiritual and religious matters as well as your dramtically changing perceptions of religion (and indeed yourself) really does lead one to question whether you actually have any stable beliefs. Your constant cursing of others is more demonic that saintly. May Allah have mercy on you.
  17. I am interested to know what efforts you have taken to understand the bani. If we were to use our own mat to understand Gurbani then please tell me why the Guru felt the need to thoroughly explain Gurbani to 40 Sikhs? You werent born Brahmgiani which is why you take time to learn brahmgian from a suitable teacher and not just expect it to come to you. There are various traditions with lineage going back to Guru Gobind Singh who you can learn from. You are criticising something when you have not even taken the time time or effort to understand it. In fact your poor arguements make one wonder if you even thought about what was written or if your negative perceptions were predetermined. You have already created Guru Gobind Singh from the way YOU (based on your mat, which does not appeared to have acquired any vidiya, so one could argue based on avidya- ignorance, darkness, ego) understand maharaj. Your mind has created a solid box in which your ideas of dharam and maharaj are enclosed, tell me from where do you expext understanding to come from? If you were a close contemporary Sikh of Maharaj, or infact Maharaj's officially appointed spoken-person, then I apologise.
  18. I apologise I was not aware of any law that I am supposed to be above, Your identity is something that most people have been aware of for years on Sikh Chat forms so I did not think it was a problem. You seem unhappy at this and as such I apologise and have sent Neo a pm asking to change the title of topic. In regards to the theory of the Aad Chand, you have footnoted where this oral history came from. As Nihang Singh oral traditions are so varied, it would perhaps be best to footnote where information comes from where you make general statements on what nihang traditions supposedly are or are not. You also run the risk of mis-representing Nihang Singh Traditions in academia. Perhaps it would be appropriate to state which Nihangs informed you of this traditions in India, or did both pieces of information come from Niddar Singh. Please in future refrain from treadting 'Nihang Singh Oral Traditions' as a homogenous construct.
  19. Now that you are back with us I was hoping you could clear something up. In your article on Shia-Sikh relations, regarding the neela bana you write: "According to Akali Nihang Singh tradition this is said to be the uniform that the knights of Imam Mahdi will wear" Furthermore related to another topic you state: "This may in part explain the deep respect that many Nihangs of the old generation still have for Imam ’Ali" Would you be so kind as to state your sources for the information you have presented.
