Anyone who reads the writings of dasam pathshah, our historic granths, our rehatnames, foreign commentries, writings by nihang singhs through the times or spends time with Nihang Singh mahapursh will find ample evidence and justification for the use of Sukhnidhan* by Nihang Singhs and indeed any other Sikh who wishes to use it, so long as it is not abused (which unofrtunately is sometimes the case). If someone chooses to blind themselves to the truth thats their problem. People who love using Gurbani in debates are ofen in need of learning Gurbani Arth properly and often fail to contexualise verses. There is an increasingly growing trend for people to understand Sikhi based on their uneducated** value judgements - this is the very definition of manmat. * likewise for Jhatka ** I use this language because most people do not ask innocent questions, but actively seek to undermine the Gurus maryada without knowing very much about them.

Not sure who the Nihang Singh is in the picture. The answer to your second question is definetely yes. If not formally part of the oraganisation of the dal one has to atleast have a gurdev/jathedar who is a Nihang Singh.

I am interested to know what efforts you have taken to understand the bani. If we were to use our own mat to understand Gurbani then please tell me why the Guru felt the need to thoroughly explain Gurbani to 40 Sikhs? You werent born Brahmgiani which is why you take time to learn brahmgian from a suitable teacher and not just expect it to come to you. There are various traditions with lineage going back to Guru Gobind Singh who you can learn from. You are criticising something when you have not even taken the time time or effort to understand it. As Nihang Singh oral traditions are so varied, it would perhaps be best to footnote where information comes from where you make general statements on what nihang traditions supposedly are or are not. You also run the risk of mis-representing Nihang Singh Traditions in academia. Perhaps it would be appropriate to state which Nihangs informed you of this traditions in India, or did both pieces of information come from Niddar Singh. Please in future refrain from treadting 'Nihang Singh Oral Traditions' as a homogenous construct.
