  1. umm, sorry to interupt... but any more videos lying around paaji?
  2. I've been reading his Blog for a while, I saw it on MrSikhNet.com. I never heard of this guy until NEO made a post on SikhPortal with his Katha on Jaap Sahib, really inspiring stuff. Anyway, NEO... any more videos lying around that we dont know about?
  3. Woah... I love number 11... how true, how true!
  4. This might seem insignificant to some, but even the order in which the 'diamond shaped' rumalla is placed on Guru Ji has been layed out for us (us = Nanaksar sangee). Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Nanaksar) and Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj used to place the bottom side of the rumalla over Guru Ji first, then the right, and then tuck the left piece under Maharaj Ji, and finally he used the top(and final) diamond piece and place it over Guru Ji and tuck it in 'under' Guru Ji (at the 'front' - the side facing you). Also, BabaJi used to say that the best time to do ardas and ask for something from GuruJi is during Rumalla di sewa. The analogy which he used is when... "A wife is ironing her husbands clothes with total love and admiration before he goes to work, and since this "sewa" is done with total compassion (making sure every crease is intact) the husband can't help but marvel and admire the glow and admiration she shows in order to make sure he )the husband) look like a 'king.' Then finally, before he walks out of the house (with his new clothes looking clean/fresh) she'll ask him to stop by the store and pick up something, or run some errands etc, and since the "clothes/rumulla" sewa is fresh in his mind, theres no way in which he can refuse. I hope this made sense, it sounds way better in Punjabi... but I hope the message was clear. Great post Neo, thanks for sharing, its really appreciated. Finally, Baba Nand Singh Ji Maharaj made it very clear that resting your elbows on the palki while doing sewa/chaur is forbidden and that one must always make sure that it is only the "feathers" which go over Guru Ji and our hand should never EVER be placed over Guru Ji or in a resting position on GuruJis bed.
  5. One of my relatives recently visited the Akal Thakt and met with all the predominant members of the SGPC, Akaali Dal etc etc.... this guy is super educated and has been living in the US since the 50's and he came back disgusted by his realization of the clowns that in charge of our panth. There are countless power struggles within each organization and the bottom line is that everybody hates each other. I dont know man, I can barely hold a conversation with a native Punjabi since my Punjabi needs work to get on their level, and its frustrating to just sit around and let everything disappear. Please let me know if there is anything I can to help...
  6. I've honestly lost all faith in the SGPC, and its clear to see how once they have thought something out, its impossible for them to consider anything rational. For instance, they're hiding the sacred shrine where the younger Sahibzaaday were bricked alive, only showing a fraction of the wall for an hour or so a day. Lets not forget Sangat, this is the same wall which survived almost three hundred years, through various reigns including Maharaja Ranjit Singhs. Another unfortunate incidient concerning the SGPC is their removal of a tree in Punjab where our ninth Guru tied his horse on overnight (during a stay). Personally, I'll forver bow down to any place graced with my GURUs presence, so the SGPC need to start being for the PANTH instead of taking AWAY jewels from the PANTH. At this rate, its going to be no time at all until their tear down other famous monuments such as 'Methiya(sp) Sahib Gurdwara' which contains statues of famous Sikh sacrifices. Bhul chak maaf... Something needs to be done!
  7. Hmm, interesting story... a lot of Muslim are Jatt, and a lot of Muslims are Punjabi.... haha, I was rolling the first time I found that out (6+ years ago)... It makes perfect sense though...
  8. I'd love to see pictures, espicaaly since Hounslow is my hometown...
  9. Sorry y'all... I'm back now... I will do this first thing manana...
  10. Woah, thanks for sharing.... NEO... I have a video of Sachkand and some other pics from Nanaksar, but I don't know where I should upload them to... any ideas? Please let me know...
  11. Woah, some amazing pictures there... I just visited Medhyana Sahib around two weeks ago and it was moving to say the least... The work done there is exceptional espically when you see how every little detail is planned for way in advance (they had some newer models which were only 50% completed)... My Punjabi is horrid, and this visit was another time in which it came back to haunt me, because I really would've loved to speak to the architect who was present during my visit.... I just gave a two handed sign of Sat Shri Akal as I walked by... Anyway, there are the most amazing SAROOPS of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj inside, and I cant describe how beautiful they are... I forgot my digital camera but purchased some photos from a local store, i'll be sure to scan those which weren't shown in this superb post... Thanks for sharing...
  12. .... And the list goes on and on and on... Maybe we should make a post about this...
  13. What does this mean? Singh47... VEER, thanks for your reply, it meant a lot that your reply was so sincere... however, there is something which doesn't add up in this equation... It's not an issue of seeking repentence from the Panth, it's the events which led up to that... also, I've been told that Jathadar Santa Singh of Budha dal refused to aplogize too... I'm not sure if this is correct... but this is an issue I'd like to understand for my own sake... But, for the record... for Sant Narayan Singh Ji to have done sooo much sewa for one of the most heavenly SAINTs to have ever graced this EARTHs surface, he instantly has more kamai than we could ever dream of gaining... *to be continued* Thanks again Singh47...
  14. Sant Narayan Singh Ji was one of Nanaksars original PANJ PYAREH (alongside Gurdev Ji etc)... I'm sure you've seen the picture... if not, let me know... Also... turns out that my dad spoke to Sant Narayan Singh Ji before he left for SachKhand about this very issue... and in NO WAY did he disrespect our QUAM and NEVER should he seek repentance from anyone besides our beloved Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, or BABA ISHER SINGH JI MAHARAJ... (for any issue, and he wouldnt need to do so for this!) I'll be back with more information later... but for the record (and please quote this)... I WOULD NEVER BOW DOWN BEFORE ANY JATHADAR from any GURDWARA or SANGAT... I'd bow my head to the Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj in a split-second, and I'd follow the hukam of the most righteous PANJ PYAREH... but besides that, I couldnt careless... Anyway... I'll be back with the story about SANT NARAYAN SINGH JI... and for the record, he MONEY which he USED to help re-build the AKAL THAKTH was SEWA from GurSikhs like yourselves and I... not the Indian Government or Indira Bhandari... So retract the propaganda that's spitting from your LIPS... Also... we could really make this a long discussion about disrespect and talk about how DAMDAMI THAKSAL gave SATKAR (is that the right word) and put a HARR (chain of flowers) around KPS GILL (yeah, the mofo) while they were HONORING him in '92... something which has never been retracted... I couldn't careless about this issue, until someone questions the honor and integrity of someone as righteous as Sant Narayan Singh Ji... who did more Sewa in a single day than we could do in a lifetime... please believe it... BHUL CHAK MAF!
  15. A serious question, NEO... where you told this by someone, or did your read/hear it on a tape? I have very mixed feelings about Bindrawale, I do not really know which way to lean... Some questions which I do have about Bindrawale's father is how he could die in a car crash, a real MAHAPURSH forecasts his physical departure and rests in comfort, not dies agonizigly after a car accident... so thats one major reason why I do not think he got any "DIVINE SIGN"... I mean this in the highest respect and this is a question I've asked to help waiver my curiosity... Please let me know...
  16. Are these in English? Also... any shops like this in Ludhiana?
  17. I have this book sitting at home, a friend of mine told me to read it... so far, I've just skimmed through the pictures etc... Also... any word about what's so "special" about this book...
  18. Man... have dozens of kids and make them AmritDhari and your sins shall be forgiven... really though, what better way to "jump" this line (not "cross" it)... you digs? Also... maybe if it's such an important issue to you, you can make her take the "mini-amrit" - something which I took back in the day (not sure what it is / meant!) Stay righteous brotherman!
  19. KARMJEET... what the hell are you saying??? This is the most idiotic thing i've ever heard in my life... You're going around stating this and that about Nanaksar when this POST proves half the stuff you say is personal belief and not based on fact... MY GRANDFATHER was a devotee of Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj, and by GODS GRACE his name is synonymous with the word NANAKSAR across the world... BHAGWAN DAS was a sevik of Both BABAJI's... BHAGAT SINGH (who translated ANAND SOROVER life was SAVED by Baba Isher Singh Ji).. and to further illustrate your blasphemous words... I'm pretty CERTAIN that ANAND SAROVER was written after Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj physically left this world '63... Please, if you have any more INSANE assumptions, just PM me... it hurts me more than anything when I hear people running their mouths about something which is very very very dear to me! And please ANSWER my question about HOW there is a four YEAR time difference, thus making it very very very very unlikely... Shiiiiiit...
  20. OK, since I cannot read punjabi (I know, thats pathetic - but i'm going to learn it on my 20+ hour flight to India!)... Could somebody please let me know what this states... did it start from Bhai Dya Singh Ji? I'm not sure...
