  1. Mekhane'ch Jannat Ji, what do you mean by 'annihilation'?
  2. When I was a kid, I had so much respect for Prof Darshan Singh. Back then he even use to beleive in Dasam bani. But I don't know what happened to him recently. He along with alot of socalled schollars (missionaries) have totally abandoned Dasam Bani. Only Guru Sahib can allow us to keep Sikhi. Otherwise, if guru Sahib's protective hand is no longer over our heads, then I doubt we will remain Sikhs for very long. That is why we need to pray to Guru Sahib and beg them to allow us to keep Sikhi i.e. Sikhi Daan. As for Panthic.org. We need to understand is that guru Sahib takes seva from all of us some how or the other. I may not agree 100% with Panthic.org but with their Masala filled articles against these Anti-Dasam Granth crew they are doing a great job. We should stand against them where we disagree with them. But if they are writing mirch-masala filled articles against these Dasam Bani Nindaks, then we should avoid publically ridiculding their integrity, because that might influance some youngsters who otherwise might beleive them on the issue of Dasam Granth. Right now, these Anti dasam Granth people need schollars and these types of reporters to fight against them.
  3. Excellent post by Shaheediya. I totally agree with him. I think that the panthic movement during Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindrawalay was a noble movement. But after 84, the movement just degenerated into something very different. There were many great Singhs in the movement who died very herioc deaths. They were true to the word "Shaheed". But some men in the movement were not the ideal of the Khalsa, and it's those guys that eventually led to the downfall of the movement add to that the policies of KPS Gill. Perhaps if a man like General Shahbeg Singh had led the movement after 84, along with other professional military men, then the movement could have gotten somewhere. But I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Right now, Sikhs shouldn't even think of a Khalistan. Sikhs need to think about doing parchar. Preach to the low castes and poor people. Sikhi has a great potential to spread all over India, if only there were parchar being done. All the Sants, Gianis, Parcharaks only concentrate on Punjab, totally ignoring the othe states in India. Ironically Punjabis no longer even care about Sikhi. Just go to Punjab and see for yourself how everyone cuts and trims hair, including the GIRLS! Now sadly in India, even the 'Sikh' girls are following western Punjabi girls by asking for a clean shaven only boy which they term as 'cut surd'. Are these the ungrateful Sikhs that Guru Gobind Singh Jee sacrificed his entire family for?
  4. What I mean by that is, sometimes we know for certain that someone is not doing something right, but what alot of Amritdharis do is that they start to get right at their face telling them (often rudely) that they are wrong, without any humility or sympathy for the other person. In my opinion we as Sikhs should have compassion for everyone and every living being. When we want to talk to someone about Sikhi, it should be with the utmost humility. When Sant Ishar Singh Ji Raraywalay talks about Gurmat, he always talks with so much humility and sweetness.
  5. You make a good point Pheena. Although Amrit is a must. But i think that an Amridhari MUST have some qualities within him such as compassion(Dhaya) and complete surrender to Parmatma. Ideally an amritdhari Sikh should FEEL and not just ACT like the dust of everyone's feet. We need to feel enough compassion for every living being to know that Vaheguru resides even within them. Knowing that fact, they are still walking the worldly path(padharth) instead of the Godly path(Parmarth). When we talk to someone about Sikhi it should be with compassion and understanding. We should never speak with the 'holier than thou' attitude or have any arrogant tone of voice. Even if we know that we are right and the other person is not, we need to speak with humility and compassion.
  6. Chatanga is right. It's well known that many amongst the Kharkoos during operation black thunder, there were in fact undercover blackcats/policemen. When many of the kharkoos were surrendering during the operation, there were instances of some kharkoos trying to flee, who were immediately shot dead on the spot by some 'insiders' to make an example for others who would attempt to flee. The problem is that a lot of those guys were not really Dharmi. They were young, hot headed guys. At least, in 84 the Singhs had a man like Sant Jarnail Singh Jee for guidance. After 84, these young Sikh men did not have any guidance as a result of which some did wrong things. But many times, black cats would do wrong like kill/rape civilians which would be blaimed on the innocent Kharkoos. KPS Gill employed these types of tactics because these are the kinds of tactics that were successfully used by South American governments to put down marxist/communist revolutionaries during the 50s/60s/70s. In Sri Lanka the Sinhalese government also tried to use these tactics against the Tamils so Tamils would start opposing the LTTE. But the Tamils just ended up being more ruthless than the Sinhalese government. For every Tamil killed, they would kill many times more Sinhalese, and any Tamil suspected of being an informer would be given the most painful death.
  7. I'm not aware of any Nirmale and Udasin sadhus being specially targeted violently by Singhs during the Singh Sabha movement. The only violent movement that came out of the Singh Sabha movement were the later Babbar Akalis. But the Babbar Akalis were strictly fighting against the British, while it was their peaceful counterpart the Akalis who during the Gurdwara reform movement took over Gurdwaras without using violence. Even Mahant Narain das of Nankana Sahib who using his Pathan mercenaries killed and even burned alive peaceful Sikh activists was not harmed. When he got out of jail he was unharmed by Singhs. Mahant Narain das lived and died of old age.
  8. This is so sad. Words can't even express the humiliation that boy must have gone through.
  9. I'm not a Khalistani. But I think that the men who died in 1984 are Shaheeds for of our nation. Nation for me does not have to mean some geographical boundry. Nation can also mean the Sikhs as a people. No matter where we all live in the world, but togather we all form the Sikh nation. I'm not for or against a geographical Sikh nation though. This is what Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Bhindrawala also said. Right now we need massive Parchar in India. So many people can become Sikhs if only we had people doing parchar. But no one is doing it to the poor people in India. These fake Gurudoms like Sacha Sauda and Radhaswamis target so called low caste and poor people because they know that those people are very spiritually hungry. Even many buddhists from Japan and other buddhist countries are starting a buddhist revival in India by targeting low castes and poor people. The Sikhs on the other hand dont do any parchar while everyone is.
  10. R.I.P. to all the Shaheeds who died for the honour of our great nation.
  11. If a person becomes Vaheguru as Advait Vedant claims, then do our Brahmgianis(including Gurus) merge and become one with Vaheguru and therefor no longer exist? Their hondh(existence) or Vajoodh no longer is there?
  12. Or maybe someone who just wants to have some fun likes to play these games. Personally I don't like video games, but alot of people do, I don't see anything wrong with it. So take it easy. Kao peeo aish karo mithro, dil kadhi kisee dha dikhayo naa.
  13. Now that he's made this statement, I wonder how long Vedanti will last as the Jathadar. Akalis are the real controlers and I can imagine their main allies(masters) the BJP will not approve of this statement by Vedanti.
  14. Bhai Shaheediyan, I don't see anything wrong in discussing this here. They themselves make tall claims about other groups, individuals on their website publically, which only leaves the door open for others to also do vichaar about them publically. If they themselves were going to mehta and talking to the people there directly instead of writting $hit about them on their website I would have agreed with you, but brother they themselves don't follow what you are advising silence of doing.
  15. You are right about copy right violation. That strangest and most ironic thing is that they don't allow anyone to copy & save pictures on their websites which are often pictures just stolen from other websites. Also all of their pictures have water marks on it as if they are ones who created those pictures. How dishonest!
  16. Great work Ragmala Jee. Check out the kind of stuff they have written about the Taksal sampradah(Mehta) and Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh Jee. When I talk to real Nihangs(in India), non of them hold the same views as these people. A Sikhs should live and die for the truth. Intellectual dishonesty is the worst thing for someone with the authority to write books or write information on their websites. This type of info written by people who are often quite dishonest can can very easily mislead someone who have very little or no knowledge about Sikhi or who is very impressionable. That is why one should try their best to learn about Sikhi from Punjabi books rather than English sources. So far Sikh literature in English is almost laughable. Infact I would say they mislead more than they lead to the path of Gurmat.
  17. Nothing wrong with using the term Adi Granth. Although, I mostly hear traditional Sikhs using the term 'Aad' instead of 'Adi'. But both are good, nothing wrong with them. People need to read traditional Sikh literature written in Punjabi where Adi/Aad is quite commonly used by most Sikhs, including SGPC, Adi/Aad seems to be less common in English Sikh literature.
  18. That's a very good article. It seems this Angrej Malcolm had more knowledge about Sikhi than most of these modern western scholars who deny Dasam Granth. More well researched papers like this need to be printed in Enlgish if we expect to win this war against naastik minded 'Sikhs'. Sant sipahi and panthic.org are doing a great seva in this field.
  19. Xylitol does have a good point. Baba Harnam Singh Jee's example does show us that this bani should idealy by done in the morning. But at the same time, I think to myself, in the olden times, puraatan Singhs would usually fight during night time when the Mughal/Afghan army would be least ready to put up a defence. I have heard that Singhs would recite Chandi Dhi Vaar right before going to battle to bring bir ras. So if puraatan Singhs went to battle at night, then surely they must have also read this bani at night before going off to battle to get that extra bir rassi boost. Just my thoughts, I'm not sure, but I could be wrong in my logic.
  20. A few years ago I remember seeing a picture of a historical well connected to Guru Nanak Dev Jee in the Sindh province(pak). Some idiot from the UK thought that the original well did not look good enough since it was so old looking, so he "created" a new marble one in it's place. People like these who feel they have so much money they don't know what to do with it, instead of spending money to preserve the existing historical remnents connected with Sikh history, they destroy it and make marble structures in it's place. Unfortunately they don't even make it in the traditional way, it's all completely white decorated with bathroom tiles. Even new Sikh monuments barely have anything traditional looking about them. Just take a look at that newly constructed Khalsa heritage museum in Anandpur Sahib. Considering that it's supposed to be a 'heritage' museum of the Khalsa, you would think they would have used traditional Sikh architecture, but instead they created a building which looks more like a nuclear power plant.
  21. This is moorakhtaa. They say in Punjab that a friend who is an idiot is more dangerous than a smart enemy. This is the case with these karseva people. In their minds they are doing great seva by demolishing our heritage in favour of marble buildings. Where once beautiful frescos adorned walls, now they are either white washed or covered up by bathroom tiles. This is a sign of utter, utter moorakhtaa.
  22. I read it at night and nothing happens to me. It's a very powerful bani. It can be done at anytime in my opinion. Even if Chandi devi were to appear, she woudn't hurt a Singh. She only hurts evil Rakshas/Daints/Danavs. I think she would be a friend of Singhs.
