    No mate, it's not.

No one denies that, it does happen, and still happens. But nowhere on the scale on what happens in other states. Read that article and look at the statistics.
I'm reminded of a friend of mine from a long time, a chamar, with a heart of gold really, was telling me about the time he and his brother went to Benaras, to see the birthplace of Bhagat Ravidas Ji, and how astounded he was at the treatment of dalits in that area.

But why have the dalits in UP, who have been on the receiving end of some appalling and brutal treatment by the high-caste hindus, not left Hinduism and embraced Sikhi then?

Of course it does. But where does the balance lie? What would be your feelings if 7000 people were dying including members of your family? Would you really want the govt to send something into space so it could make a few million in a few years, or would you want your family and those others to get a meal?
I am not surprised at your apathy as an indian, but your apathy as a Sikh is horrendous.

I'm surprised at you Mr Pakistani. Mixing up humanism with socialism.

I can't see it having escaped,, but Sri Akal Takht Sahib at this time was a much smaller building than it it now. It only had one floor. The building we are more used to seeing was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
The court-writers of Abdali say that he pulled down temple of the Sikhs and their buildings around it.
What's also interesting is that Abdali pulled it down on at least another occasion. ie 1758 and 1762.

Absolutely not. AKJ are a jatha.

The only samprdais is the Panth are the 4 samprdais- Udasi, Nirmal, Dal Panth and Sewa Panth. Only those given thapia of the Guru's are samprdais.

You see differences but I see co-relation. The 4 traditional samprdais are not antagonist towards each other but compliment each other.

Whereas the Sanatan Dharma contradicts Gurmat.

Dalits are hardcore hindus whilst the hardcore hindus are in power. They follow and align with the power to save themselves. Quite simply the BJP will have promised to give the Dalits something extra alng the lines of Panjab Congress Party "atta and daal" scheme, and in reality give them nothing once they have secured their votes.

To claim that Dalits are somehow footsoldiers in the Hindutva army is a stretch of the imagination that is given colour by our India-loving Sikh traitors.

    Don't beleive this hindutva tool.

Dalits are on the receiving end of high caste violence every single day. Every single day.

This reminds me of listening to Panth Parkash granth lately of how Adina Beg came to the Sikhs and asked them to ally with him to fight Abdali, as well as forming an alliance with the Marhattas. A tripartite pact was agreed with the Sikhs easily being the smallest party. The Marhattas reneged on their pact but luckily Sikhs withdrew from the camp before Marhattas managed to attack them.

    Dalits.

And who is there that will ally with the Sikhs? Most people around the world haven't heard of us or our troubles in Panjab/India.
If you think about it, we Sikhs couldn't do anything to save Afghani Sikhs since 1992.

Sure. Will add some later this evening.
One thing i wanted to ask in the meantime is whether this word " ਵਿਸੋਆ" from the line " ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਧਰਮਸਾਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਸੋਆ।" could be interpreted as "Vaisakhi" as some people have done. I can't see it myself as Vaisakhi.
