  1. I'd say KRILL OIL is much more effective. though its rather pricey.
  2. IMO it means if you need to use animal products then just use it. Even some 'desi medicine' uses animal ingredients. Its no biggie! On the other hand you can spend the rest of your life raking your brains about the why's and wherefore's of animal product usage in Sikhi. Believe me this will cause you stress and anxiety.
  3. WHat can you expect? Lineage, of any kind is insignificant when you surrounded by any particular type company. Even though it is stated he is a Sikh, do you think he ever had much contact with Indians , let alone Panjabis or SIkhs? His main sangat was the upper echelons of British society. That is how he turned out. Doesn't matter what/who his family were. But then again, if he wanted to become a practicing Sikh do you believe that the Sikh establishment would have allowed him or accepted him? Just read the story of his sister, who came to India wanting to marry a Panjabi amritdhari man. She approached the Sikh elite (SGPC etc) so that she could take amrit and they could arrange a marriage for her. She was totally ignored. She gave up broken-hearted and ended up marrying an Englishman. She is now buried in Lahore in a Christian cemetery.
  4. In the same vein "who cares what AKJ or DDT think?" SInce when did they become the representatives of the Panth? You talk of nindya. How about the views of the DDT, AKJ kiddies on ss.com. is that not nindiya? Or does it does it only matter where Nidar SIngh's views are concerned? Appears that the nindya was getting so out of hand by these 'sikhs' that all mention of Nidar SIngh AND everything associated with him are banned! Such lack of self control by nindaks. Where is the dharam gone amongst this 'sangat'? You are right in that meadia attention will go away very soon, but by that time enough awareness will have been created that those who do recognise the Vidiya for what it is will come to Nidar Singh to learn. Its not about praise from the tabloids; its more about mutual respect from other real Martial Artists from around the world, and not these gatka-baaj 'martial artists' either. I'm talking of men such as Dr Maasaki Hatsumi et al. With the amount of attacks against NNS from AKJ/DDT chele for his writings on sarbloh.info I'm beginning to think that there may be feeling threatened. No? Why do they/you feel soooo threatened by this nobody from Wolvverhampton? His views must hold some validity in your hearts that you cannot tolerate him speaking and attack him. Do you really believe that what with just the support of "his chela who.. post on this forum" NSN is able to publish books, partake in TV documentries, write articles, organise lectures, exhibitions etc, etc, etc? It takes backing from a lot more people, organisations to do this.
  5. Of course anyone can do that. You just need to practice.....bloody hard and have a good guru. If apne consider it 'besti' then just shows the subservience of apne lok (to Nidar Singh Nihang,) who consider everything 'besti'. No one can do your besti unless you permit them! Is he a devta that he can single-handly do besti of a whole kaum? Or that he can bring more positive publicity to SIkhi from the mainstream media than all the events that the kaum does put together? (i'm begining to think so!!!) I think the kaum needs to pull up their socks if they want to achieve anything comparable to what he has achieved over the decades. All the media praise he is getting is just recognition for what he has made of himself now. When apne are in the media spotlight for vandalising sikh community centres in Dudley or breaking windows of theatres or being tried for blowing up innocents in aeroplanes would you consider that 'besti'? IMO i think the 30 second morris dancing skits that sikhs do on the streets during Nagar Kirtans and pass it off as "a sikh martial art used to fight thousands of enemies" is 'maha-besti'.

  7. like the jathedar said. true about travelling. for me it works wonders, though if you return to your original issues still there then problems will stay.
  8. too right.... i agree with you. i much prefer the balanced views of the Daily Sport. though even the 'clever peoples' broadsheets and other media covered the akhara a while back. eg: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/ancient-but-deadly-the-return-of-shastar-vidiya-1679002.html quite suprised but the favourable responses by the DM readers though.

  10. so the Guru's and the Mahapursh of old were wrong to apply tilak?? Because it doesn't sit well with modern day Puritans? What do he mean by '...the problem lies with the managment committee...'?
  11. 'He has a picture of Ram Ji and Sita Ji' This is a common point being raised by a few posters on various forums. So ....is this a complaint you are makiing? Shhould he remove it? Hell.... why not just remove all the Hindu terminology from the SGGS and get it over and done with! Also Maharaja Ranjit Singh was given a Raj Tilak by Baba Bir SIngh Ji of Narangabad(?). Incidently, the same linage as Sant jagjit Singh of harkowal. Was he/they Hindu? Was it a Hindu Raj then? Jai Sri Ram Bhagvan!
  12. WOW cant believe how popular Nihang Nidar Singh is on ss.com!!

  13. I would have indoctrination camps set up to 're-educate' PanjabisSikhs/Indians on: 1. How to form orderly queues and not push to the front. The number of times I had 'pregnant' guys (and women) stood behind me press their bellies against me!!! What a strange fetish!!! 2. Not to litter their own country, nor dispose of refuse/waste in the streets or outside their own house walls. Also not to use the front of their homes or street as a sewer. Then have the gaul to call earth Dharti Mata. 3. To cover their mouths/nose when coughing or sneezing. Do they still not realise that they spread disease this way? Then they end up going to some old baba asking for 'tandrusti'. 4. To eat less and excercise more. Looking like a pot bellied pig does not mean you look healthy. And walking from place to place does not imply that you are unable to afford a vehicle.
  14. is back to shine the light on everyone. Panjab is full of gandh!!!!

  15. visit swami ramdevs massive dera/hospital just outside the city. You can get very cheap (free?) books and medicines there. A real nice place. Outside there are statues of various rishis of indian history, with biographical details about them.
  16. its been up a while, a bit off-beat, though quite good. Apparently i its part owned or was set up by Al Gore, of Bill Clintons govt.
  17. Fateh Only Five, Please give up on the constant use of 'lol' in every bit of writing. It undermines any seriousness of any arguments you put forward - however feeble it may be. Now that you have mentioned 'nidar crew' , please elaborate and make some comments...... any comments!!! Lol......
  18. Also is it worth me buying the Vedas and/or its teeka from India or should I just buy it from bookshops here in the UK? Either in Panjabi or English. What version would you recommend?
  19. interesting site. I remember Sant Jagjit Harkowal wale saying once saying that Argentina is named after Arjun, son of Kunti. He ruled over this South American land mass. Also Germany is named after some other character from the ancient scriptures. They also mention a few more such terms. This was quite a few years ago. Maybe someone here could ask them to clarify? However I dont know whether any normal academic/linguist/historian will follow these links they have made, or just write it off as Indo-supremacist views.
  20. I am just going outside and may be some time.....

  21. i dont know how successfull gt1588 was in terms of foot fall to the exhibition, but why wasn't there any publicity on the sangat tv or sikh channel?
  22. I dont know man! How many times do we hear the same type of stories again and again and again? One just gets rather blasé - thats both me the reader AND the people in India who think that it just wont happen to them . Is greed really so powerful in Pb? They just hear of these 'opportunities' and seem to loose all common sense.
