  1. If you read Krishanavtar, you will find a lot about a particular drink which they drank after having won the battles and for recreation . Not sure if it was alcohol or something else, translation varies.
  2. This does not make sense and it utterly ridiculous imo. Alcohol, even one small drink, increases the GABA , inhibitory neurotransmitter in brain which causes delayed reflexes, motor in coordination, affects your cerebellum which causes imbalance. As Dal pointed out there are so many inconsistencies. It will only create confusion. Keep it simple. Derive inspiration from your recent Shaheeds like Sant Jarnail Singh Ji. He did not do jhatka to attain bir rass, he did not use afeem or sukha, nor did he drink alcohol before going into battle. He had the power of Naam and Japji Sahib. Being a Shaheed is not easy. Even if you die in dharam yudh but in your last thoughts your mind is not engrossed in Naam, you will not attain full shaheedi. I will give an example. When Panja Sahib Saka happened, devotees came to Baba Nand Singh and told about the saka how many sikhs got shaheed. Baba Nand Singh ji took a sigh and said in their last moments of death they had feelings of regret, why did they have to die like this, hence their shaheedi was not parvan. Only a Antaryami Brahmgiani can know about the real truth. imo only the cowards would use alcohol. The real shaheeds like Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, Bhai Matidas, Bhai Sati das, Bhai Dyala ji and countless other Singhs are not scared of death. They find it as an opportunity to wed with God. So alcohol to calm your senses or fear before battle does not make sense.
  3. What is the practical implications of Sukha/Bhang/Marijuana/Afeem particularly for Sikhs/Singhs in today’s time? I can barely find any. I can understand that there is maryada of 5 leaves of Marijuana in huge bowl rose/almond/ shardai nutritious drink. But besides that I don’t see much use beyond that. Talking about medicine, we already have high quality morphine, opiods, ketamine etc for people with surgeries post-operatively, palliative care for cancer patients, and pain killers if there is a war/battle. If a Singh/Sikh is pakka nitnemi, naam abhiyaasi, and follows rehit, he doesn’t need anti depressants in form of cannabis. If Afeem and Bhang is promoted in todays time, even though they were used in medicine form in past which is absolutely fair, it will invariably lead to recreation and abuse, and normalize its use in our minds. Our mind is very clever and cunning, it was used by singhs in past, why can’t I use it ? Start from small quantity and leading to abuse. One needs to have a very disciplined, and focused mind to exercise caution. Even the modern medicinal forms are heavily abused. Remember people started abusing iodex and cough syrups.
  4. In the following video, Sant Waryam Singh Ji explains that after Naam gets parpak in swaas swaas, there comes the stage of focusing/concentrating the mind/chit. The best vidhi according to Sant Waryam Singh Ji is focusing on moorat of Guru. Sant Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib also recommended doing dhyan of Guru Ki Moorat in his diary. Listen to the whole video. So now we have Baba Nand Singh Ji/Baba Ishar Singh Ji Kaleran, Sant Ishar Singh Ji rara sahib and Sant Waryam Singh ji recommending dhyana of Gur Ki Moorat.
  5. @paapiman Do you believe that ringing sound can also be in the beginning stages of hearing Sehaj Dhun or do you believe that all ringing is medical problem? Just trying to clarify what you mean. Ringing when accompanied with other symptoms like nausea, dizziness, loss of hearing & balance , and vision problems can definitely be a sign of medical problem. But ringing alone without any medical symptoms needs to be explored internally.
  6. Baba Nand Singh Ji would tell his sevaks to do Satnam Ji da awaza to bring him back from Samadhi. He would mention that Satnam strikes like a lightning thunder and powerful enough to bring him on earthly realm.
  7. I don't think so. They just use normal tap water. In India, they prefer water from bore, nalka or well.
  8. Tohana Channel and Gurmat Meditation views on Golden Prakash. I personally believe Golden Prakash is right since Baba Nand Singh Ji sponsored/ promoted s Golden Saroop of Guru Nanak Sahib. Any thoughts ?
  9. So I came across this video of a Bhai Sahib who died for approximately 6 hours, back in 2001, at a US Hospital,. He shares how he received a beating from yamdoots, how he was saved by a Nihang Singh and how he changed his life around. It's a good reminder, and scary thinking about it. What will happen to us ? I am scared now, unless we merge with Waheguru ji there is a good chance of receiving beating and going to Narak. I remember one time there was a Pret who was a ragi singh in his previous life. He was asking Baba Kehar Singh Ji Nanaksar vale to get his benti to Baba Isher Singh Ji, so that he could have udhaar. This is recorded in Baba Isher Singh Ji's bachan. The reason for his pret jooni was that he was not following the hukams of Guru Sahib Ji. Looking at myself, there are many hukams that I have not followed properly in the past. What do you guys think ? @Sat1176 @Lucky @sevak
  10. @Arsh1469 Do you believe in Shaheed Singhs ?
  11. All saints regardless of traditions are divine beings, its only natural to be attracted by their aura. I love saints, I hope I can get charan dhoor of such true saints. Just sitting close to them is enough
  12. Amazing updesh, and journey explained. Transition from japji sahib to moolmantar and towards gurmantra explained. Dhyan in Guru Nanak Sahib explained, antarmukh and bahar. How mahapurush are able to talk with Guru sahib explained. basically aligns with the updesh of Baba Nand Singh Ji and Baba Ishar Singh Ji esp about Moolmantar and Dhyan of Guru Nanak Sahib. Love it, very inspiring and reaffirming. if one wants to have automatic japa of moolmantra, they must aim for atleast 3600000 japa of Moolmantra, listen to the related links also
  13. Once again, re affirmation of Nama Japa as the highest method waheguru
  14. I am good bro, still here, check here once in a while, mostly for bhagti posts. There are certain patterns that come and go.
  15. @paapiman You can read about the 5 pankti tuk tuk sampat path, the one that I was talking about. Nanaksar Sampat Path Maryada.pdf
  16. Just to add, your partner should be on the same wavelength. you should ensure that before choosing partner. Otherwise, different expectations can lead to marital problems later on.
  17. yes 100% agree, from personal experience agree, our elders were wise
  18. Even Brahmgiani Mahapurush can have slightly different rehits and maryadas according to their personal avastha. You cannot say one is superior to another. For example, Baba Nand Singh Ji and Baba Ishar Singh Ji only had prashada after doing partakh bhog to partakh Guru Nanak Sahib ji everyday. Now try applying that maryada/rehit to others...no one would be able to follow that. Its a khed of prem. Rehits/Maryada are there to guide you not entangle, you cannot say sarblohi marayda should be enforced upon everyone and you are not a Sikh until then. @Trimandeep Singh I know you are influenced by AKJ, so your views align accordingly, and you are welcome to do that. Please don't make Sikhi a set of rigid rules, that no one can follow. The most important aspect of Sikhi is Naam Japna, and Love, the rehit will outflow accordingly.
  19. Ik Oankar Satgur Prasad Ik Oankar Satnam Karta Purakh Gurprasad ...
  20. @Trimandeep Singh couple of questions for you 1. What does the following tuk mean to you Guru Granth Ji Manyo Pargat Gura Ki Deh 2. Did you know that Baba Nand Singh Ji and Baba Ishar Singh ji had partakh darshan of Guru Nanak Sahib from Guru Granth Sahib, and offered bhog of parshada, milk, sweets and other edibles to Guru Nanak Sahib everyday. Its a khed of prem, not logic. 3. There was a Sikh in Guru Sahibs time, who found a very tasty Mango. He thought it would be great for Guru Sahib. He did dhayan and did bhog to Guru Sahib. Do you think Guru Sahib was hungry and not eternal at that time ? 4. Many Sikhs is Guru Nanak Sahib’s time did bhog and it would reach in sooksham saroop @paapiman can give more examples
