  4. Also Jassa you said you sound to me exactly like them....because you havnt gone and looked up... Um.. i thought that one of the resons for a forum is to ask questions, i also thought it might be quicker to ask a question on the net and see if some1 else has looked it up, rather than spending ages going through books. Im sure that im not the nly one who finds it odd/funny that we cant wear red or green.
  5. OH MY GOD, i have found the best book in the world. It not even a book, it better than a book, its called, wait for it, wait ....... it called the GGSJ.
  6. Fateh Ji. Firstly, i would just like to thank people for thier response. From what i understand, the colour that we want attached to us is that of love. Depending on the context it can mean something else. If the guru has said something, with Mahraj's kirpa we may or maynot understand it, if we do, again with Mahraj's Kirpa, we may or may not be able to implement it. What i really dont understand is that how does a colour make us do something. Surely it must be the mind. Everything is attached to this mind, and the mind is what makes you thin of lust etc..., not the colour. So to say to one person not to wear red or green or to only wear these colours, i think that is a bit Braministic view. Sorry if i havn't offened any1.
  7. not read the posts properly but... We are within the Hukam of Akal Puruk. (2nd pourie of Jap Ji Sahib) Lets just accept it. The only place where pain resides is in the mind. We should find a techniques to control this mind as it is only the mind that is polluted, the soul is always pure. The technique given from what i've read is naam.
  8. Lol, i heard something quite funny, RED and GREEN, not allowed to wear these colopurs according to Taksal. Just wanted to know why? and also, my Chacha is Blind, does it affect him. 8) And im colourblind, so red is same as black. (Joke, not colourblind, not yet) Is this not a Brahmin thing not to wear certain colours?
  9. God is experienced in many ways. If you experience god in that way, who am i to cuss you. Go ahead and continue. And if you are a SIkh, Good for you. Dont let any1 tell you your not.
  10. Fateh Ji. Why concentrate? we dont need to. (Hear me out on this one) When we concentrate we focus our mind on one little thing. We want to concentrate on god, god is no way little. We should there fore open our eyes (not literally) and see the whole world. If you wish to concentrate properly whislt doing paath, i found one way. I got a copy of my bani's on Computer.Removed all spaces between the words. Pritied it Out. Then i tried to read it. Well difficult. Y? it was difficult because i had to use my head, i could just read it, i had to understand it, hence concentrate. Do this. It will take time but it will help I mean orgianlly it was written all joined up, maybe this was one of the reasons why?? any comments??? Concentrain Removes Open Mindedness (if there is asuch athing) Lets learn to Under stand, then concentration will be our slave.
  11. Maybe the person didnt understand it, so they thought it was a joke. Or maybe he thought it was funny how it cussed people and didnt have a thearaus to hand so he coundn't think of another word for funny so he called it a Joker. Or maybe Or Maybe who cares????
  12. The tenth door is Gupt and so is all contained the stuff contained in it. So if your trying to explain it you cant cos it gupt. (Its a personal thing) Please look at bagat Kabir answer on tenth gate. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/PageASP.asp?ShabadID=1359 its long, i've not read all of it, but it is good. Please also look at punjabi translations. Prof Shaib Singh is the only one i read so far, need another any1 got one?
  13. Sorry for the late reply, been busy. To fight and die is not a bad thing, but to fight and live, and then fight again would be hell of a lot better than to die. Sikhs in general i think should adopt a technique used for many centuries. 2.5, fight and come out alive, 1.5, fight and die. Some may know what im on about, other are porabaly confused. i have a "freind" (always a freind and never yourself ) that got attacked and the first thing they did was pull out their kirpan (more like a kukri) and the 23 (more like 5) peeps that attaked this "freind" of mine saw the kukri and had second thoughts. I rekcon 90% of a fight is pyschological. My "freind" basicly won pyschologically, and therefore phyically. make sense or am i mad?
  14. Fateh ji. Um, it might be easiler to read the web site. www.shastervidiya.org
  15. Dont we need both. But we dont want Politics in the Gurdwara, we should therefore do what we do at the Harmandir Sahib and Build and Builing infront of a Gurdwara for the Politics. Harmandir Sahib and Akal Takht
  16. We believe in equality but not in this Gora Way that whatever men can do women can do or visa versa. Our Equality is more like that women are better in some roles rather than men and that men are better in some roles rather than women. But in some cases it has been known that if a women is more like a man then they can have a more manish duty. and visa versa.
  17. Um. from what i understand the pupose of the kirpan is to protect yourself and others phycially. We do Kirpa with a kirpan. So if your not to bothered with the whole Sarbloh reht thing, why not get a high tension plastic one (which is still strong and sharp as i have one) made that doesnt beep when you go trough the metal detecter.
  18. I know of a tactic used by singh's. They did Run, its not a coward thing but more of a tatic to disperse a crowd. If any one want to know it i will (Might) tell you via personal message. But please do not post it up as it is supposed to remain gupt.
  19. See i was asked this question by a gora. I replied that what ever happens happens for the good. And if was to die i will die. But i alway believe live today fight tommorrow. So, i was thinking that I would actually run home, get a shaster and come back?? at least i got a better chance. cos realistly, we dont carry the best shaster for fighting a mob at the moment, we carry a Kirpan, Katar or Kukri, we can fight of waht, 4 to 5 people. Just curious on what people think. (i know that im a mad man)
  20. But they would you be holding up the Sikh Name of us being warriors.
  21. Just off the topic. If you were attacked by a mob of 40 people say and they knew you were sikh and wanted to show you up shouting anti-sikh sloagans And they wanted to beat you up and if you knew that you would lose, Would you run away or stay and possible die??
