Where does one go after death ?

A.: According to Gurbani

RAAMKALEE, FIFTH MEHL: The wind merges into the wind. The light blends into the light. The dust becomes one with the dust. What support is there for the one who is lamenting? || 1 ||

Who has died? O, who has died? O God-realized beings, meet together and consider this. What a wondrous thing has happened! ||1 || Pause || No one knows what happens after death. The one who is lamenting will also arise and depart. Mortal beings are bound by the bonds of doubt and attachment. When life becomes a dream, the blind man babbles and grieves in vain. || 2 ]]

The Creator Lord created this creation. It comes and goes, subject to the Will of the Infinite Lord. No one dies; no one iscapable of dying. The soul does not perish; it is imperishable. || 3 ||

That which is known, does not exist. I am a sacrifice tothe one who knows this. Says Nanak, the Guru has dispelled my doubt. No one dies; no one comes or goes. || 4 || 10 ||

Dear All,

Just wanted to share the following thought, that it is written in Gurbani 'ant kaal'. Many people may have a 'shanka' meaning 'doubt' in their mind that is it only what we remember at the last time that matters.

Well, does this mean that it is only what we remember at the last time that matters. Many would say ...hey man thats coool...i mean do what u will during ur lifetime and at the end we juss gonna think about God......and be delivered ... :-)-----Scheme 1

Well thats not exactly the case ......What Gurbani says is 100 rather 101% true...but only those who spent their life time loving God are able to remember the name of the God at the time of Kaal. And Why is it so .....

It is so because .....for one u dont know when kaal will come and secondly such is the fear of dying that a person would not remember God at this time .....rather he would be thinking about what would happen to his wealth etc. ....were he to die just now.

So all the cool dudes ...(not really cool) ...remember that the Scheme1 aint gonna work ..

I hope I have been able to contribute :-)

Fateh,

H Singh

hmmmmm dis line im confused. we are all human beings and are not obviously perfect. so im pretty sure ne one who die will think about there children. if that is the case that means there are more pigs on dis planet then human beings :?

can some one elaborate what dis line really means?

cheers

Nek veer ji,

That is for people who have forget vaheguroo and have attachment throughout the life and even at the moment of death.

and do u know why is it says you will recincranated as a pig?? Because, pig is always attached with the kids. Study pig behaviour you will know.

Gurbani warns you over and over again veer... Nam jaap luo, seeva kar, janam sohila ho jo(Life would be succesful).

Here is thread you might want to check it out. Its explains what happens after death.where does soul goes?? and who judges it?? very interesting stuff!!

babbarsher jee,

your post is really very true .

I have heard that a person who is a nitnemi of panj baanian and rehraas sahib without missing a single day. when his ant sama comes the light of his eyes will become dim and darker and acc. to his habit he will start doing rehraaas in his mind , and he will be connected with guru ji and thyen he will go to sachkhand or given another birth as gursikh to meeet with God .

And this is a thing to note that when death comes it is not easy , it very very dreadful and painful , but for gursikhs even death respects them and takes them with care without even hurting them like a lioness does while carrying her cubs in her sharp teeth.

And some more high gursikhs do not even have to wait for death , when they know their time is near , they just do samadhi and leave their body and uniting directly with god or guru ji .

And the story of brahmgyanis is different . they do not want to live in this

world but since they have certain dargahi duties they perform them and when their time comes they are happpy to leave their panj bhootak chola and unite with god . but they do not go anywhere they are still present in Guru Granth Sahib Ji . their sathool body goes but their sookhsham shareer is sill present . they take care of their devotees and help alomg with other gupt forces like shaheed singhs etc.

bhul chuk maaf.
