  1. very nice and true, we think we would live for 100 years and nothing would happen afterwards. This life is like a long dream, once the death would open our eyes, this dream would be over and we would be back in 84 million joon reality.
  2. It's 100% true that Hindu Devi Devte existed and exists. Previously i used to believe they don't, but after listening to many kathas by puran Brahmgyanis, like Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Rara Sahib Wale, i believed in their presence from the core of my heart. I also believe the existence of prophet Muhammad and Jesus. Currently reading biography of Sant Baba MahaHarnaam Singh Ji Bhucho Wale and there are many references in those books too. No further question or doubt left in my mind.
  3. Update: There were days when i couldn't get up in the morning and was feeling guilty. Now started again last week aiming for 40 continuous days of mool mantar jaap in the morning. I never stopped reading biography of Sant Baba MahaHarnaam Singh Ji before bedtime and now reading volume 8. I am more aware of tinnitus as focus going on in between the ears during the jaap, sometimes it jumps to front of eyes or on hirda. Concentration getting better each day, listened to Bhai Balbir Singh USA , a naam abyiyaasi, and his advice worked for me. Long way to go but i am glad i am on the right track. Gurbaani makes more sense now, feeling calm and little detached from world. Feeling like i should focus on naam abhyiaas and gurbaani as don't know how long to live. Must earn this treasure before the death or the end of human life.
  4. 1984, after nearly 28 years, how much life has he left now? Indian legal system is a joke, a very big joke. That's why we end up in foreign countries.
  5. I could not copy paste Gurmukhi on this forum, could somebody help plz?
  6. Start with 'Gaori Sukhmani Mahalla Punjava' and then read the following highlighted text. If you would do this for fifty times daily, then you would wise and intelligent. @paapiman Plz correct me if I am wrong. I tried to do copy paste but it didn't work.
  7. It is very tricky situation. It would be better if you could get some help from your mother or sister for sorting things for you. First pregnancy is never easy, on top of that you are unmarried and hiding from society. Moving away from known people would be the best thing, i think. People do many things to sort out problems in their life. I know one couple in uk. I am assuming that the girl got pregnant after engagement, and they both must have discussed with their families and arranged marriage within days. They were known to my in laws and told everyone that the planetary stars are good now or after few years, so better do now in rush rather than waiting for the right time in future. Baby was born less than 8 months after the wedding. It is both of your mistake, not just yours. Ask your partner to help you. Don't take stress! .
  8. Do marriage now, save the child. Disclose wedding now, and disclose the birth of child 12 weeks after the actual birth. Would it be possible for you to move out of the area? Tell family what happened, they know about physical relationship. Going to work, would post later.
  9. Try this for 21 times, do Ardas daily whenever you remember, wherever you are, whatever you are doing to Waheguru to help you. It would work!
  10. My mom told me that It happens to my maternal great-grandmother. She died, saw two men who came to collect her in whites, then two more men came and shouted that it is the lady in the back house, not this one. All men left, she regained her consciousness, and after half an hour later my family came to know that the lady of the same age in the house at the back has passed away. This scenario happened in a village in Punjab.
  11. Please search 'menstruation ' on this forum. I personally don't think it matters in current times as very good hygiene products are available. Menstruation is God gifted , i would not refrain from patth due to this reason. Just keep going in this direction, read sakhis , biographies, gurbani, forum articles and all this would build up the foundation for trust and love. Use gurbani kirtan audio during free time or while traveling/excercising etc. Slow and steady wins the race. Build up your routine.
  12. @Gurukripakarin Welcome to this forum. It is good karma that you are getting interested in Gurbani at this very sensitive age. I remember when first time I read Sukhmani Sahib, I read from Gutka Steek (translation of gurbani panktis into plain sentence) and it took me all day. I was about 16-17 years that time and it was mind opening experience. I was wondering how come Guru Arjan Dev Ji know this much. Try to read one ashtpadi at a time if that helps , use apps or online books or you tube or mp3 whatever suits you. Sometime we like the style of particular author or kathavachak, just follow them instead of looking for the best one. I bought the Sukhmani Sahib with meaning book, using highlighter and reading one Ashtpadi or less at a time with meanings. I am trying to absorb the meaning, not merely reading.
  13. @Trimandeep Singh thank you, lovely story.
  14. Does anyone else on this forum would like to join Mool Mantar Recitation as an experiment to get rid of their vices? Especially beginners like me , let's just test the power of Gurbani even though we know it is the Universal Truth. We do have good moral support on this form, let's get the most out of it.
  15. That is exactly what my plan and dream is. My family does not stop me from taking Amrit, but I am personally not prepared yet. I am building strong foundation by taking smaller steps every day.
  16. @Trimandeep Singh thank you very much for the panktis from gurbani. I do think what if I got cancer and lose my hair during chemo, would that be good? What if I were involved in a car accident and got my face deformed as a result? What if I would have a major family problem and so on... As @paapiman bro has advised, at this current time I would focus on fighting other vices. Reciting mool mantar has turned evils into saadhu, it would definitely take me somewhere. My experiment of mool mantar is going well. Feeling calmer than before, bit detached from friends.
  17. Yes, i know Amrit is must for a Sikh. Let's see where my heart goes after 6 months of reciting mool mantar.
  18. Yes, I am non-Amritdhari Sikh. I started doing mool mantar in shower too, but couldn't do jaap while shaving. It was guilty feeling.
  19. agree, it is awsm feeling. It does stop mind wandering off for sure. I started keeping my head covered at home too. I do love WAHEGURU and now pushing towards mool mantar simran. I am japping while doing chores, driving, gardening etc with head covered or uncovered (at work). Whenever I remember then it continues from there.
  20. Started but struggling to do at fixed time. Taking about 30 mins for one 108 mala of Mool Mantar, doing about 2 malas daily. Getting better in crossed leg position and focusing in between the eye brows. Feeling focused in dark, so I close the blinds or use thick shawl to cover my head and eyes if seeing the light. If i am doing it very slowly by listening with ears and translating the meaning in my brain or heart then i get lost in my thoughts. May be because it is the beginning! If I am doing it faster in my mind, then it helps me to concentrate and i could go on autopilot for naam jaap for an hour. It is giving me good feeling even though i am not translating its meanings. I am doing jaap mostly at one place and I feel my body goes in jaap mode when I sit there with my mala. Next step is to set up a place on floor with cushion to sit on, facing east charda paasa and having little water next to me. I couldn't do jaap on the day I shaved my arms, feeling guilty and thinking I must start wearing full sleeves like Muslim girls. Repeated actions build up habit and doing mool mantar repeatedly would be the only way to go ahead on my spiritual journey.
  21. @Trimandeep Singh may I know what would be your reaction if your wife would grow beard? Apologies for asking this, just wanted to know. If I would grow beard in future when I would be Amritdhari or in higher Sikhi spiritual state, then I would accept it happily. If it would be a issue at work or community, then to make things easy for my family I would probably move to area with higher population of Sikhs. Bhul Chuk Maaf
