  1. I am sure any variety of accusations against Sikhsangat would fail to surprise any individuals. Have a look at wild accusations someone is making against Baba Santa Singh here. http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showto...12&start=12 A while ago I remember reading on the forum the story of Bhai Randhir Singh asking Sant Gurbacan Singh to do ardas to ask maharaj for forgiveness for the mistakes which he had made with regards to Raagmala issue. This is a story verifiable by many mahapursh and Singhs from both Jathas have verified that this took place. However, the sikh sangat moderators promtly deleted the post and the link to where the story was contained stating that there was no evidence the event had occurred suggesting that the story was a fairytale one which had been made up to cause conflict between jathas. Yet, an anonymous individual is allowed to post outragoues allegations, hearsay which he has probably made up, of someone who spent 80 years of his life doing seva of the panth. Undoubtedly, many may have negative opinions of with Baba Santa Singh with regards to 1984, does this justify making up blasphemous rumours against another Sikh? What is concerning is that the moderators of Sikhsangat have not edited the slanderous post. However, I am not at all surprised. By reading a few posts in sikhsangat, it becomes clear that the culture is such that abusing Nihang Singhs has become popular. In a brief browse I have seen Nihang Singhs called dogs, b*stards etc without any editing or warning given to those who have posted. This begs the question why a forum which should exist as a platform for panthic ekta allows abuse of certain Sikhs to openly occur while censoring verifiable stories about certain individuals? A very sad state of affairs, I would be grateful if someone with a sikhsangat account could post this there to see what reply the moderators offer for thier biased behaviour.
  2. thanks for the link, im pretty certain rattan singh bhangus panth parkash says he was spared for speaking up for the injustice against the sahibzade.
  3. Tony Ji, from which granth are you getting your information from? Didnt the Khalsa let Sher Mohammad live and even carry on with his rule as instructed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji for him speaking out against the injustice towards the younger sahibzaday. Maharaj said by speaking out he had saved his families dynasty, his three other brothers were killed in battle.
  4. Silence, the coming of Kalki is written of in Dasam Patshah's Gurbani and Kalki's drum is also mentioned in Adi Bani which would suggest that its a Sikh theory.
  5. is that by the same Master Darshan Singh who has been recoreded reading various dasam bania?
  6. plz post link when recordings are up for yesterdays katha
  7. i heard a bit of sant jagjit singhs katha yesterday they were talking about bana, I would really like to listen to the whole katha has anyone got it recorded?
  8. good to have the site back up, thanks to the sevadars.
  9. http://nihangsingh.org/Baba%20Santa%20Singh.html
  10. Baba Santa SIngh goes into more detail in his katha.
  11. I think this is one of the most important topics on this board.
  12. Oh please, thats what you thought while reading Charitropakhiyan? Someone sent me a paper you wrote on it, you mention nothing of the sort! Liar, now theres a certain Muslim trait.
  13. This book of reference - its not the janamsakhi written by the minas (or one of the other groups) was it? The purpose of that text was to discredit the Gurus to claim their own leader as the legitimate, using that text to say Guru Nanak Dev Ji had a muslim wife is well shady. Thats the earliest, and probably only, to mention so.
  14. I've heard of quite a few mastany sants that used to swear and curese a lot.
  15. I dont disagree with you. But there is a a process there as well. not sure if scientific is the right word.
  16. The last bit sounds like a bit yogi bhajanish. But when you learn snthiya - correct gurbani pronunciation, you realise some letters have powerful impact on your nabhi, others on your kantha, others take dhian higher up etc.
  17. the SGPC bankrupt? Where did you hear that? First I have heard of it.
  18. Tony, FYI SGPC has been involved in court cases and land grabbing long after 1947. As well as the infamous cases during the reign of Jagir Kaur, SGPC still has ongoing court cases regarding gurdware and land of the Budha Dal and other Sikh jathebandi.
  19. Everyone does their own parchar according to their own mat, I dont think thats the issue, groups and individuals will always disagree with each other. I think Niddar Singhs a special case as his website claims he is Jathedar of Budha Dal Uk, yet Nihangs Singhs in India are pretty unhappy with his philosophy and views. Their concern with Niddar Singhs as misrepresnting their own traditions and philosophy on an international scale is a bit different to some teenager sharing his dreamland thoughts at a London sikh society meeting - hence, Im not sure on the validity of comparing the two.
  20. Not really Bahadur. You can keep going on about there being only an option A and B, but peoples understanding is more diverse, particuarly when they dont have a specific agenda. Lets go with your logic for a moment. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji disagreed with the practise of certain Hindu customs so using your logic you would question why Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji saved the tilak and janjoo? You can disagree with an individuals belief and still support their rights to freely practise religion. Do the Saudis not believe non-Muslims to be Kaffirs? Yet in Dubai the royal family is constructing a Gurdwara Sahib. Has the British government and other governments not assisted in the finance of constructing places of worship for religions brought into the country by immigrants? Its the result of liberal thinking in society rather than views on anothers faith. Im not sure I see the link with this issue to bibek and abibek, like.
