  1. Sat Sri Akal: Forgive me, I missed that line on my first read. Well...that is a wrong statement and I think making your point known to the site administrators would be an appropriate action, as that flies completely in the face of the tradition of Langar. Perhaps they can either give you an explanation or remove it from the article.
  2. Sat Sri Akal: One thing (not defending or attacking any group here): The article quoted does not ban anyone from partaking of langar. What it is putting forth is that langar should be served in Sarbloh vessels and cooked by Amritdhari Sikhs. It makes no mention of banning anyone from langar.
  3. Sat Sri Akal: It behooves the Nihungs to take action against this individual as they released a statement to the effect that they will be hunting down those who soil the name of Nihung. So why not start with this one?
  4. Sat Sri Akal: Yeah...your patience is admired. I would have gotten very angry that a person in Sikh roop who is so drunk that I would have ended up shutting him in my trunk until he was sobered (yeah...I might put a hole in there for him to breathe...if he was nice)...
  5. Sat Sri Akal: According to Rehat Maryada, contact should be immediately severed by Sikhs with those who are definitely known to do such actions. If that was done, you would be surprised how quickly these Bibian get pesh with the Panj Pyare and mend their ways!!! BUT everyone has to simply cut contact withthem!!!
  6. Sat Sri Akal: Ahem....back to topic!!!! Bhain Ji, I will ask you to do something. Go to Gurudwara every weekend. Listen to Kirtan and Katha there. If you know something is not right (ie. hanging out with clubbers who drink), then try to stop. It sounds like deep inside, you know some of the things you are doing are taking you away from Sikhism....which is a good sign. If you are unable to any of this, then do me a favor. At the least, start to read Kirtan Sohila (the shortest Bani of Nitnem, or daily prayer) at night before going to bed and do an ardaas to the Almighty to grant you proper guidance. If you need the Bani, go here... http://www.gurbanifiles.org/Nitnem%20by%20...la%20&%20PT.pdf And keep faith in the Almighty. Do the ardaas with faith and hope and the Almighty will take you where you shall go.
  7. Sat Sri Akal: Basically...make it fit. Ok...thanks for info.
  8. Sat Sri Akal: Gotta question...I had a few pics that were quite LARGE that I do not think it will let me upload...any workaround or something?
  9. Sat Sri Akal: Most likely, they performed triple bypass no? Usually, it is a successful operation with a good recovery which takes a couple of months or so. What you want to know Singh Sahib?
  10. Sat Sri Akal: Forgive the intrusion...you a Sahiban? Or you mean something that me no comprendo?
  11. Sat Sri Akal: Joyce Sahib, read above BOLDED text in the article: "But when I said, after two years, in a meeting in their Golden Temple that, "I consider only Nanak to be enlightened; the remaining nine masters are just ordinary teachers," they were ready to kill me. I said, "You can kill me, but you will be killing your eleventh master!" mystic27 " You want something more offensive? It doesn't get any more offensive than that...
  12. Sat Sri Akal: There is one number superior to all...so superior, that it was given as the first character to begin the Guru Granth Sahib: ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Sat Sri Akal: Who the heck is Osho to comment on anything related to Sikhism? He is a man unable to control his own lustfor women and has reported to have intercourse with thousands of women. You want to take his commentary on Sikhism as gold?
  14. Sat Sri Akal: My moorakh submission. Forgive my mistakes: For this line to be interpreted, the above Shabad seems relevant too. The essence of that Shabad is the person who meditates on the Almighty, be there good or bad things going on, it the true Lover. Those who praise the Almighty when good things happen but curse the Lord when bad things happen are nothing but customers who worship only to get good things. The next lines (your questioned lines) seem to continue the thoughts of the Shabad above it and say people who do such things (praise when good and curse when bad) are not true lovers, but those who do wrong either way and have no place in the Court of the Almighty.
  15. Sat Sri Akal: Dynamic Banda Sahib, have you taken amrit? Please do not insult the Amrit which was given to the Sikh Panth by the Guru Sahiban. First of all, read Vaaran Bhai Gurdas which CLEARLY state "Kal Taaran Guru Nanak Aya" - Guru Nanak Sahib has come to tow up across Kalyuga. Do you think Guru Sahiban were just nice people who passed out sugar water like Sherbet to make their Sikhs feel better? Do you think that Amrit is just a ritual to induct a person into Sikhism? If you do...I pity you my friend. Read Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh's book "Amrit Ki Hai" to get an explanation of what Amrit really is: http://www.akj.org/skins/default/books.php?bookid=2
  16. Sat Sri Akal: "Kaalay ways are different from ours. They have no manners, no respect and no courtesy. They seduce women noisily and vulgarly - it's a part of their culture." My my, aren't we sounding a little racist this morning. Perhaps you need to look at how Punjabis (not Sikhs) are acting out there too. If it wasn't for these "Kaalays", you and I would not be able to get a respectable job!!! They gave up a LOT to fight for the rights of minorities. You got a problem with racist parties in Britain, good...take up the issue with them. But don't just extend that problem to African Americans. If women are being seduced, it is not because everyone else has some hypnotic power that Sikhism doesn't. It is from a lack of awareness and respect for one's own culture and heritage. If these women are ignorant enought to accept rides from strangers, are they not thinking of the consequences that might arise? And when the intention of males without religious direction is to go out with females for sex, it is ultimately the female's choice to "hook up" with the male (not talking about rape here...for that, the community should just get together and give a good beatdown to the offender). I am surprised the moderators are allowing racism to become a part of this forum!!! Work on that, not ganging up on another race.
  17. Sat Sri Akal: AIAIAIAI!!!! Here, read Bhai Gurdas Sahib's Vaaran (Vaar 3): http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?Sour...o=03&Line_No=15 Ain't no Om up in there!!!
  18. Sat Sri Akal: Please, rad the above text. Khushwant is known to almost subliminally hint that Sikhs and Hindus are the same by stating that "seeds of Hindu-Sikh separatism". That seed was laid down by Guru Nanak Sahib, not the British. Upon an interview, someone questioned him whether he considers himself a Sikh (his appearance is ofa Sikh, but he is a frequent drinker and lusts after women in his own articles), he responded that he only keeps his appearance to be associated with the community (but obviously, does not follow its rules or regulations). That there, Singhs and Kaurs, is what you call a Wolf in Sikh's clothing.
  19. Sat Sri Akal: Khushwant Singh was a stout Indira Gandhi supporter who stood at her side and that of the Congress for many years in return for his status as a "Sikh writer". Seeing as how Indira was a Brahmin and he would have kissed her dog, I think the comment is accurate.
  20. Sat Sri Akal: Contrary to popular belief, most soldiers join the Army because it is a source of income first and a noble profession second. Sikhs, like most humans, need money to sustain themselves and their families. However, when Sikhs were shown that independence from the British, they were relentless in their sacrifice to rid the nation of the British.
  21. Sat Sri Akal: Sat Sri Akal: My lowly opinion (want a real answer...ask the Panj Pyare)!!!. But here we go: Vaheguru - three parts: Vah - people translate this as wonderful or great. But is is closer to saying WOW when someone is in awe of something. Indians, when they are amazed by someone talent or art say "Vah, Vah Phlana Singh". It is that Vah that is the first part of Vaheguru. he (pronounced hay) - similar to addint " O' " in front of Lord as done by Christians. So it is like saying "O' Lord" as in O' Lord, I beseech you. Guru - Guru meaning the Almighty here. Guru itself splits into two words. Ru, which means light and Gu, which means darkness. Put together, it means that which sheds light upon darkness. So put the three together: Vaheguru = "WOW O Lord who sheds light where there is darkness." Lotta words packed into one word eh?
  22. Sat Sri Akal: Yes, historical evidence please...also, please provide historical evidence that Kirpan Da Amrit is a practice endorsed by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. Just cause a group does something for a few years does not make it right. Indeed, Mai Bhago is just a nickname for Mata Bhag Kaur. P.S. Who appointed you Prom Queen judge? What...all women should be at home with braids polishing their nails looking good for their man? Mad props to the beautiful women who fight alongside their brothers for a cause!!!
  23. Sat Sri Akal: How can that be bad which keeps the mind on Gurbani?
  24. Sat Sri Akal: Yes...go here: http://www.sikhi.org.uk/articles/files/GurdasVaaraan.pdf
  25. Sat Sri Akal: Singh Sahib Ji, if you take Amrit, the Panj Pyare will tell you what you can and can't eat.
