  1. Anyone know who this lot are? Who is Dassan Dass and the Baba Ji he refers to? BTW - before you get sucked in by the sweet talk on that site, their reasoning and frankly whole 'system' is full of holes....
  2. more disturbing is " .....he even explains how Guru Nanak even said that kaba (in mecca) was a shiva temple..." where did Maharaj say this?
  3. Nah, don't think so. Unless i looked in the wrong place on Gurbaniupdesh.com. Neo's recordings are amazing - Sant Ji are talking to the sangat (in UK I think) about Nam etc.
  4. actually just found this:http://www.ik13.com/audio&video.htm scroll down all the way to 'parmarthak parvachan' - is this the same?
  5. Neo, is this still available - i've searched the net and not found it, so you're my last hope...
  6. Love the last picture of Singhs boxing
  7. idiots, maha moorakh mugadhs!!! just because they are not mature enough to see what Maharaj is telling us they come out with this rubbish. As some one who wasn't always religious (to put it mildly), i fully agree with Charitropakhyan and the warning to men to be careful of maya in the form of women, in fact if i had read it earlier, i wouldn't have made some very stupid mistakes......
  8. but then why do Amritdhari Singhs still ask for Naam di Dat?
  9. I agree with Xylitol. Sometimes we try to use our tiny intellects to understand Maharaj ji and bring them to our level. At the end of all the arguments, what will have been achieved? Nobody's going to change their point of view. Why not ask Guru Sahib themselves what happened that day? They haven't gone anywhere......
  10. Sant Isher Singh Ji gives one explanation of what Naam is in one of the 'atmik bachan' recordings - before they explain how to do simran. Maybe Neo or Kam have the recordings? One explanation that I have heard (amongst others..) is that we literally ask Maharaj to make us their own and give us their name - like a bride takes the groom's family name. Another explanation i once heard is that the word Naam can be thought of as 'Na Meh' (No ego) so this would again be asking Maharaj to merge us into themselves. The most common interpretation i've come across is that asking for Naam is asking to be put on the path of simran and for 'safalta' on that path.
  11. There a Tuk in Bani which says:"....Mirtak Ko Jeevalanhara...." Bringing the dead to life was no big deal for Guru Ji. Remember Baba Atal.....
  12. Fateh! Does anyone know where I can download or listen to Aasa Di Var sung well in: (1)Raag; (2) Thaarna (Rarasahib style). Thanks
  13. There were some students at my uni (back in the day) who had seen copies of this text. IMHO it is 100%true. Anyone know if the Durbar records from Aurangzeb's time still exist?
  14. Neo, the 'confession' was under duress - it's clear he was tortured, so it wouldn't stand in court. I don't think the truth about this incident will come out any time soon.
  15. Its hard to find a rabab like Mardana used, let alone a teacher. I would love to hear one.....
  16. Definitely 26 August 1975.... Das- it's quite possible this happened, there were other incidents involving curing people poisoned by snake bites etc. Many incidents from their life were unreported by those present at the time. They never wanted vadiaai for themselves.
  17. Not heard of this even from Hapurwale Mahapursh or the Singhs I know from Rarasahib. If you don't mind me asking, who told you this?
  18. what's so funny? - I would agree with them..... some of the comments reek of incredible arrogance....they might not be perfect, but how the heck do you know what they're going to teach?! Many people learn a lot from these events, and it takes a lot of time, money and manpower to organise camps etc. Good luck to them, and hope the camp is Chardi Kala.
  19. actually quite good.....personally don't believe that Maharaj sacrificed goats that day - think it was really heads - but that's just me. Nice one singh.
  20. Sikhi is a hard path for sure - "Khanio Thiki Valo Nikki", and sometimes i think i should just worry about myself because God knows I'm not perfect, but it hurts to see a brother go the wrong way. don't really know what the answer is....but i KNOW that part of the problem is 'our leaders' not practising what they preach while keeping bana on the outside but not the inside. Now I know why Maharaj ji says that out of crore people, there will only be 1 true premi.
  21. Fateh! Back in the UK after a few years and thought I'd hook up with some old friends - Singhs who inspired me to get into Sikhi, Singhs I'd literally spent all night with singing kirtan, good Singhs. what do i find?!!! they ( couple of them were known as the Hitchin crew in my uni days) have given up the gift of Maharaj Ji's own sroop and gone the other way. OK, everyone has a right to do what they want, but for me to see this was like seeing a slap to Guru Ji. Of course I still know they are the same on the inside etc, etc but it was heartbreaking to say the least. What the heck happened to some of our sangat in the last 2 - 3 years?
  22. Is this audio still available anywhere - I would really like to hear it.
