  1. I think that in context to the whole PouRhi, those Tukhs may be refering to Sri Ram Chandra Jee. But many Banis in Sri Dasam Granth should not be read in the same manner as read from Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee. Many Dasam Granth Banis were written by Guru Jee as a scholarly narrator of epics which are based on ancient Granths. Many of them are not considered Dhur Ki Bani even though they are in fact Dasam Bani.
  2. Maybe my understanding is a bit wrong, but what exactly is wrong with being a physical descendent of Sri Ram Chandra Jee? Was Sri Raam Chandra jee is demon? did he commit some great sin that we should be ashamed that he is an ancestor of Guru Gobind Singh Jee? What annoys me the most is when our people insult Sri Ram Chandra Jee who is an ancestor of Dashmesh Jee, while due to being influanced by Dalit prapaganda those same BeGhairat people praise Ravan who kidnapped another man's wife(Sita Ji). This happened recently on the Tapoban forum.
  3. Actually Dashmesh Jee does talk of his ancestral lineage in Bachitra Naatak.
  4. In that case Krishan Jee, can you please use your Sudharshan Chakkar and kill all the Dushts in our Panth.
  5. What's even worse is when some so called "Panthic" type people act xenophobic towards these poor Bhaiyas sort of like the Bal Thakre Shiv Sena. I find that to be the most double standard type thinking of these so called "Panthic" bodies. Worst thing is, I've even seen these so called Panthic people going to the extent of even praising Raj Thakre for acting violent against migrant workers. These migrant workers are just working people trying to feed their families just as Punjabi immigrants in the west. I myself not too long ago when I was heavily influanced by this so called Panthic/Hindu Phobic propaganda was also thinking how bad it was these these Bhaiyas are moving into Punjab. But now that I think of it, it is no different than Punjabi immigrants in the west also trying to create a better life for their families. No difference between us and them. If you even go on a deeper level then even these racial/ethnic differences are really idiotic. I mean, I am now a Punjabi, but in my previous births I could have well been a Bhaiya myself. My Atma is casteless, it has no racial or ethic identity. If I am being racist based on my caste/ethnic/race then I am identifying with my body which is temporary. As Sri Krishan Jee says in Gita, the Soul goes through reincarnation as a body takes off and wears new clothing. That is how temporary our body's race/ethnicity/Jaat-Paat is if you put it in the correct perspective of the over all bigger picture of reality.
  6. Just a question but say if there are other civilisation in the universe much like our own, then would Guru Nanak Dev Jee have taken avtar there as well?
  7. Seems like a Kumbh Mela of the Sikhs. I wish I was there too.
  8. In that case, he obviously does not have a sense of humour that is in good taste.
  9. Thanks for sharing this. These are unknown chapters of our history.
  10. Talking to Sachay Patshah during Ardas is one of the best parts of Nitnem. It's like you have a personal relationship with them.
  11. Does Niddar Singh actually beleive this? Doesn't he consider that to be a krahit?
  12. That's so true. But i think that ultimately in the future we will get back those lost scriptures of Dasam Patshah. Who knows, maybe it they still remain undiscovered. Just as Sri Sarbloh Granth came to Punjab at a later date maybe other undiscovered Dasam Bani might come to the Panth.
  13. I think that Amardeep Jee is right. Japji Sahib, Rehras Sahib and Kirtan Sohila were the Nitnems of the Sikhs before Dasam Patshah. I don't think Panj Granthi was ever the Nitnem of the Sikhs. Although ideally a Sikh should have that memorised and read it daily in their nitnem. But it was never a part of the Nitnem. Many puraatan Taksali Singhs during the time of Sant Gurbachan Singh Jee would have the Panj Granthi memorised. I would encourage all Sikhs here to get all of Panj Granthi memorised. We should think of this as being a must, only then will we have the honour of being a Panj Granthi Singh.
  14. nice picture. I like the big Paghs that Sikh soldiers of the early British Raj army wore.
  15. When you do Naam Japna, do you focus on that area between your eyebrows?
  16. What flaws does it have (grammatically speaking). Which rule of grammar do they not observe or break? and I did, it is still not working.
  17. N30 Singh Jee, I don't think that link is working. I tried to save it and it says I cannot save it. Is the link working?
  18. But how can SGGSJ be perfect if it is grammatically wrong? Just as the Quran has perfect Arabic grammar, the Hindu scriptures have perfect Sanskrit Grammar, the Buddhist scriptures have perfect Pali grammar then why would SGGSJ is different in this regard? Or does grammar not matter for the Sikhs? I always read that the Gurus had all divine knowledge. They are infallible, perfect in every way yet they would write something that would be grammatically wrong? That would imply the Gurus were not infallible, is that the impression we would want Muslims and Hindus to have?
  19. So the original SGGSJ before this change had wrong grammer?
  20. According to the acticle, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh(all basically Punjabi people) are the worst in this crime. That's not all. In times of riots and religious violence we surpass everyone in the South Asian sub continent. Even though the people of West Punjab, East Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, Chandigarh are basically the same people, yet we are the most fragmented state in South Asia. When it comes to abortion we again(regretfully) take 1st prize. Is something seriously wrong with Punjabi people or what? Considering our nature, I'm still surprised a man like Maharaja Ranjit Singh managed to mold all Punjabis(Sikh Muslim Hindus) into a single state.
