I hope all is well, I wish to discuss an ongoing case that the Police have against me for me wearing my kirpaan,
Das was initiated into the Khalsa Panth in June 2022, and from then until December 2022 upheld my Rehat as much as I could all thanks to Guru Kirpa, I was travelling to Canada when I was stuck in transit overnight at Las Vegas Airport; I was without food and drink for more than a day and had a few flight connections cancel on me - Thankfully I still had my 5 Kakaars on. On the 29th December 2022 I was told to remove my Shri Sahib Kirpaan by the TSA in order to travel through security but told the TSA that I am unable to due to me being an Amritdhaari Khalsa Sikh and it would have a negative impact on me due to me never being without it, I had no other option but to listen to them. To this day I do not know whether I was still classed as an Amritdhaari Khalsa Sikh due to me taking my Shri Sahib Kirpaan off. When I finally got to Canada I still did my best to uphold my Rehat but there came a time some months later where I started giving into my vices, where I noticed that I had never gave into them for nearly more than 2 years. I was new to Canada and was lost and me giving into my vices started giving me the notion that I have become a Patit due to me being stuck around bad company and me being mislead about some things that are prohibited for the Khalsa. I never thought that I would be committing any Bajjar Kurehat due to me being so strong in my Rehat when I was in the U.K. 9 Months in Canada and I came back to the U.K, acknowledging that what I had been doing was a huge offence to my Rehat, but had been doing my best to uphold my Rehat and becoming strong in Sikhi again. I started doing more Sangat, doing ardas and apologising for my bad deeds I had committed, I started wearing my 5 Kakkars again and told myself that I will present myself to the Panj Pyaare once I have become stronger in Sikhi and in upholding my Rehat; Sikhi has been my only help when it comes to my mental health, which I have been having troubles with since a child (possible PTSD, Autism issues). One Amrit Vela Session in the Sangat and I was later arrested, basically - I listen to my music with earphones on when in public, and whilst on the train that morning I was reading the newspaper out loud where someone near me must have misinterpreted what I had been speaking about, I also read somewhere about the U.K Threat Level (I was disturbed by this), also when the Police approached me, they questioned me about my behaviour, and about the wearing of my Shri Sahib Kirpaan, where I told them that I had been initiated as an Amritdhaari and need to wear my 5Ks to aid in keeping strong in my faith, but due to me making some deep mistakes (I had to clarify these in the police station) I am still doing my best to return to my faith. I was handed over to the police station where I was stuck for 14 hours; I have attached a document stating everything that happened to me on that day - please find attached. I have now until end of February and wished to speak to someone who may be able to help me here; I already have ongoing legal support but wished to clarify this to the Sangat on this site. 
 
I do apologise for my mistakes, and I know that what I have done to my Rehat is the worst of worst, and will welcome any punishment that I will receive from the Panj Pyaare when I present myself.

Underage girl raped in car by supermarket security guard
26th January     By Jenny LowethReporter Share Sajid Janjua (Image: T&A)       A SUPERMARKET security guard has been jailed for 13 years for raping an underage girl in his car and then forcing her to write a letter asking the police to drop the case.
Sajid Janjua, 37, was convicted by a jury at Bradford Crown Court earlier this month of raping the girl on a single occasion, sexual activity with the child, witness intimidation and perverting the course of justice.
Janjua, whose address was given as HMP Leeds, forced her to have sex with him in the back of his car in a layby on the edge of Bradford.
 
Janjua had been arrested and was on bail when he followed the girl and her mother in their car. He shouted through the open window of his vehicle: “End all this now. I could be jailed for ten to 15 years for this.”
Janjua also dictated a letter to the girl saying she had never been raped and that he had believed her to be 16 or 17. It was intended to be sent to the police but it was never received.
Judge Gibson said the offending had a significant impact on the girl who was particularly vulnerable and had been groomed by Janjua who gave her presents.
There was a degree of planning by taking her to an isolated spot to abuse her and a significant disparity in age.
He had then made her write the letter at a stressful and confusing time for her.

    By Sophie Corcoran A grooming gang member who was first arrested seven years ago has finally been sentenced - but has walked free from court.
Sayeed Hafeez was 23 when he took a 15-year-old girl to two beauty spots in West Yorkshire and had sexual activity with her. Bradford Crown Court heard the girl had already been groomed and abused by a number of other men who have previously been sentenced.
His Honour Judge Anthony Hatton said there was no evidence to suggest the girl had been "traded" to Hafeez, who is now 36, and it is not clear how they came to know each other. He said Hafeez had had sexual activity with the teenager at Cliff Castle and St Ives.
Prosecutor Katherine Robinson said Hafeez was due to stand accused of two counts of rape but had pleaded guilty at trial to two counts of sexual activity with a child. He had been arrested in 2016 and was standing trial in October 2021 with his co-defendants when he was severed from it due to him allegedly developing Covid-19.
Ms Robinson said the teenager had had a "troubled" childhood which included her parents splitting up and her brother's death. The barrister said: "She was drinking heavily and was meeting up with a range of boys and men. She described sexual activity with a number of these men, often oral and often taking place outdoors or in remote locations.
 court heard Hafeez - who is supported by his family - had suffered the loss of two of his brothers and struggles with his mental health. Ms Turner said: "He has been subject to very stringent conditions. He was arrested back in 2016 and has had to live with that for seven years or so. He is managing his mental health issues."
Judge Hatton handed Hafeez a sentence of two years suspended for two years. He said the offences he had committed had taken place between April 2009 and March 2010 and said: "The victim was a young woman who had a difficult young life. She had all of the associated difficulties of a woman growing into her teen years...
Mitigating Taryn Turner told the court a pre-sentence report had been carried out and "what happened to the victim in this case is appalling." She said Hafeez is now a mature man. The barrister said: "He went through the anxiety of the trial in October 2021. He had to wait a year before this matter came to be listed again. He could, of course, have strung it out further and he knows what may have happened."
Ms Turner said the point of an age gap means more with younger people than it does in later life. She said: "It's not an extraordinary difference in age." She added the girl was "mature" at 15, and a photograph of Hafeez at the time seems to "reveal he was a much younger man still in college so perhaps the disparity in age is not so great as may be thought at first."
Hafeez was ordered to complete up to 43 days of a sex offenders' treatment programme, 55 rehabilitation activity requirement days and nine months of an alcohol treatment programme.
