  1. I think that prior to the inner symptoms you describe, the scalp suffers some irritations and rashes- which is probably a good time to start with some scalp care products. I've had these around the crown quite often and I just put them down to inner cleansing of all the toxins and crap inside us. Tinnitus and visual or vestibular disturbance usually go hand in hand. There is very commonly a loss of balance, and feelings of queasiness/sickness.. It's this imbalance of inner fluids in ear canal that leads to tinnitus sounds as well visual and balance problems.
  2. Sound as if an aeroplane is so close above your house and about to come into your roof? ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਾਜੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਬਾਜੈ ॥ Gobinḏ gājai sabaḏ bājai. .. It's as if the skies open and it thunders when Gobind(Lord of the universe reveals himself) .... You getting close kid!... This thundering doesn't have to happen,.... but it can happen... when you hear the Lord's voice. Gurbani says that it Thunders and roars with the Voice of Akaal purakh and then It will rain with amrit when the message comes down to you! You have to Note that this is also exactly the same way that Moses heard the 10 commandments. The old testament bible gets translated as Moses climbing the Mountain(Sinai) and then experiencing the thunder and rain with the voice of God and a Hukam of 10 commandments. But I'm 100% sure that the mountain is a metaphor for the peak he climbed whilst meditating deep inside antarghat and reaching the internal peak to where he had raised his consciousness. In reference to this, there is a similarity in sikhi from what I gather, and that is a HUKAM direct from Akaal Purakh can definitely be heard if you are lucky enough. Next time just hold on sit tight and don't wander, just let the Mind continue listening.
  3. there is No hate there is ONLY TRUTH and LOVE, Love for ONE. ALL the hate, the love for others(that you think!) are products of the MIND. When you truly and very truly Love GOD and the One Truth, then you will never know or experience Hate. Love for Prabh comes first. Even the significance of Anand Karaj is the love for prabh and the stages for union with this Love.
  4. The Guru Ajran Dev ji painting has just so... so... many feelings of realism and emotions depicted in one fabulous painting. I always end up just looking,,looking..feeling..feeling ...looking again.. I've really got to hand it to you Bhagat,.. that painting speaks volumes. My first thought is always.."Aad Guray Nameh, Jugaad guray naameh, Satgur namah, Sri guru devaih nameh" and then the look of the hazy, smoke surrounding Guruji- which makes me feel that there is the mist or fogginess around those that cannot see Guruji for the Truth. ...But I love the way that right in the centre and nucleus of the picture, are the lighter shades and enlightened essence of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, because right there inside him is the Ultimate Truth of the Atma that is Ik-Mikh with paramatma. ...The completely untouchable satch.... You can do anything you want to Guruji's body cloth, burn it, scald, boil it....but You will NEVER hurt that Paramatma-atma inside him,,.Never.. and he knows it too well whilst sat there absorbed in meditation.................I could go on and on with some new elements and attributes every time! His calmness, the complete relaxed and absorbed posture, and the sense of his complete disassociation to his body and surroundings.....You know this painting strikes so many different chords of emotions all in the same note. The emotions of love, connection, faith, pain, sadness and joy all rolled into one. I applaud our Bhagat for this, and his many other magnificent pieces.
  5. You guys are getting mixed up with what you read about astral travel. There are a few different events that are often coined under the same banner. Firstly, in Simran, and in advanced stages of simran, you can experience "consciousness expansion" this is being fully conscious of exactly where you are physically and at the same time your consciousness can also be in full awareness some place millions of miles away! This means you don't exactly "exit' your body or anything and leave it behind, but you can be fully conscious in 2 places at once. A member or two on here has experienced this whilst meditating and you really won't ever understand it unless it's experienced. Secondly, In simran/as per gurmat /gurbani. ...the object is to CLOSE the 9 doors(naun darwajey) and meet our One Prabh. This is ONLY by "Har Har Naam dhyiaana" . Now, I can't say no more, because I don't know if 9 doors close and soul exits dasam duar to have darshan OR if the darshan occur whilst in a state of consciousness expansion. However, I do feel that it is probably the former and in that sense, I believe that our interest as per gurbani, should only be on astral event of closing naun darwajey and opening the dasam. As per the most common explanations of astral travel, which involves atma (inner soul) exiting body via some route or method; Sikh abyaasee is only interested in leaving the body via dasam duar, because that is the only direct portal to waheguru. Leaving by any other of the 9 doors keeps you in the lower realms.
  6. I'm in Vancouver man!....the west coast is warm and summers get real hot.. the beaches have nice pacific breeze......love it!!!
  7. I get quite confused with all these new age supplements and stacks with amino acids, creatine, whey proteins... Back in the day when I was in my teens and a karate black belt, we used to just take some ephedrines (about 90mgs),some serious coffee and drink up 3 raw eggs pre or post workout. I remember that some of the bigger and main guys use to be discussing and using somatotropin growth hormones and stuff( the oldie steroids). jeeeeez,,,,,I'm gonna have to read up on some this new age stuff.
  8. Changing routine of reps is advisable and it's what my trainer teaches me. You have to consistently adapt and keep on top of what your body may be needing and what it can manage with. The switching also helps with better control and merging of Mind-Body and MInd-Breath. So make sure you are breathing in sync with reps. Breath out on muscle contractions/OR the work of Movement and in on relaxations/OR the prep on movement. SAD is something that I'm sure I had when I lived in Ol' Blighty!! Trying to maximise as much exposure to outdoors, daylight and sun is essential. I would recommend that you try some form of sun-gazing, even if it's just 5-10 minutes a day. I'm not sure where you are, but getting to a beach and sitting at the ocean is the best one for me and I try and go most days in the summer months. I do Budh-asan sometimes, especially when I plan on sitting for more than one and a half to two hours. It is and ideal posture and it provides the CORRECT "grounding" -->which is about being perpendicular to the core of the earth. It is also highly recommended for practicing deeper Samadhi because it keeps you balanced and prevents you toppling over. I started doing it with just the right leg on the left thigh. Then once you get adept in this, you can try the full lotus or budha-asan.. STRETCHING is another biggie!!.. Ive learnt that you have to stretch, stretch and s-t-r-e-----t-c---hhhhh... as often as possible. Most of our aches and pains can be very easily relieved if we do the right stretches. The majority of knee pains are due to imbalances in leg muscle co-ordination. These can very easily be relieved in minutes with the correct stretches. The pains of DOMS in muscles can also be reduced by stretching in the opposite directions to the worked muscle contractions.
  9. Yeh, uncut hair is a biggie!.........I'm sure Paapiman you will find a number of references. In simple explanations, I would say that uncut hair increases and strengthens the energy fields...as if filling in the holes of a sponge. This energy of a field around the body helps and increases the strength and connection to God. ....It's no wonder that the Rastafarians often say that their long uncut hair in dreadlocks are like "antennae" to connect with "jah" (their term for lord). A few members that have known of me for a while, are also aware that I was always a mona and was mona when I was trying to get into meditation about 4-5 years ago, At the time I was clueless and didn't know where to start, but all I knew was that I had to jap...>>that was the Hukam<< I had no intention or mindset about keeping hair, rehat or even getting serous about sikhi. It's just that as I got deeper into self-spiritual learning and meditation; a strong affinity and connection with growing and keeping khes also developed. It was difficult to explain but I just started growing my hair and couldn't explain to anyone that for some reason it felt like a sacred ang of my body. Sacred in the sense, that it was helping bridge a connection to the almighty. After a series of months and some combinations of events, I began delving into gurbani and sikhi with more seriousness. Then came a day when I knew I was ready to start learning about what is and how to wear a pagg.
  10. Too right!!..........this is why japna, saas graas, saas saas and especially SANGAT...is encouraged. So that one starts walking towards purity and truth. Many people don't realise that you CAN meditate towards darkness in order to gain powers over the darker forces. (Star wars fans should know!). Meditation can easily go the wrong way if it is NOT gurmat.
  11. It's easier for many fools to admit or convince themselves that hearing voices and behaving out of character are schizophrenia and mental disorders. They would rather admit to some mental condition as to being possessed. ...........this IS the mind playing REAL games in order to avoid sift salah, japna and praise of the Lord. The Mind(governed by kaal), does EVERYTHING in order to not go back to it's true home. I've had enough first hand experience with this kind of stuff like Ouija boards and mediums,... but at the same time I've also had enough convincing about the divine lighter side as opposed to the darker side...... the transforming of Dark --> to Light, {GU-RU}...... Would you say the same the same thing to a gurmukh or brahmgyan that has experienced the divine light, the darshan ...the prakaash of the Lord himself ??....would you really say that they just have some "mental condition" ??.... .... then why should we have the ignorance to say that the someone suffering from the darker forces is "mental" as to the one who is bliss with the divine light force ? I honestly wouldn't say that it is "promoting such stupid things"........if anything,,.. I think it promotes and encourages to walk towards the truth.
  12. @Rock Funny you mentioned this topic, because what you said the other day about "being blinded by white aura" ,....well this is very true for the dark spirits!... and also the jamdoots because they get so scared when they come nearby to someone with a high avastha or someone who has got Naam. So, when you mentioned the being blinded and being repelled from the higher aura, it reminded me of the jamdoots and also people dominated by dark negative forces that just want to run when they come into the presence of someone with naam or is vibrating at a higher frequency. I personally understand much more about this paranormal stuff than I used to and all I can say is that you must raise your vibration and this can only happen with controlling mann through meditation and simran.
  13. A Sant is Sikh, when that Sikh considers himself and acts as a true servant of God, then he/she is a true sevak, a true sant. The Sant serves with love and keeps the sang (sangat) of those that want to jap naam and encourage further prem for Naam. A true sant does not preach for money and this means he/she does not take bhetah or gollock donations either. I have only ever seen one or two sants that leave all the sangat donations at the guru-ghar and don't exit gurdwara premises with heavier pockets!! WHY? ...because if a sant has duty of serving God and God only, then why would you serve yourself with sangat donations?
  14. What's the reason for slandering the Yogi ? Did he claim to be a sant? Satkiran, you don't have to slander to prove that you are white and at the same time NOT affiliated with 3HO. You can learn tons of stuff from Yogis talks, lectures and videos. He had plenty of gyan to give but it's up to you if want to go low enough to pick the grains of sugar from the sand or stay in the elephant-mind
  15. Waheguru ji It's nice to see Rock's genuine efforts in order to help answer other's questions. I haven't been on here a while because of my own battles with my bhakti and panj chor I'm not posting to poke at you or anything but I just wanted to mention about the couple of spiritual points you mentioned above :) Firstly, the aura's are not just about seeing bright white. There's a couple of us on here that have been able to experience them and they are not just about what you see! Also, not everyone on high avastha can pick up the dristi aspect but will be able to "feel" and "sense" them. They shouldn't be confused with just a "visionary" of some sort and the brightness witnessed is never blinding to the eye (as if to make you look away), but you are either able to hold a connection with it or you completely switch off and don't see anything!! ..........(I know it's difficult to explain) . As for Rom Rom, I can explain and answer questions in some detail from my own experiences about this and I also explained how to practice the simran technique that can help to pave the way for spontaneous rom rom to become pargat.. You can see this and some later experiences on the meditation thread below BTW. I'm unable to freely discuss too much detail about rom rom and/or some other stuff on the open forum because of some previous plagiarism, but I'm more than happy to share with members on pm.
  16. I spend several hours a week volunteering to help with english language and communication skills for immigrants. These are both classroom environments and also one-to-one sessions with a range of different backgrounds. I help assist Chinese ,Philippine's, Punjabis ..etc. I know that many Sikhs are surprised when they learn that I also help a number of Koreans that are Christian students of theology, bible and pastor courses. They have been an interesting and respectable bunch that I've come across.
  17. It's still not happening? @BhagatSingh do you mean the address bar for web at the top? ....won't it switch page?
  18. ok, it's still not happening. Don't know if software is old. It's a vaio with win7.- I like the keyboard! I will try with kids lenovo win10 later if it helps. I'm sure it worked before
  19. OK guys, how do I paste youtube vid and have it displayed in a post ?
  20. nice one! Attachments-moh, is a major one that starts cracking the ''code'' to lakh chaurasi mukhti. This is major step to get "naam",.. gurbani says "bin namai mukht kinai na payee" (without naam, no one has, or will obtain mukhti). I reckon that everyone would get there own nishanees of some sorts that confirms the "after-life" . This in itself; would be a good idea of what's in reach. Problem that many people have with trying to stop or reduce their moh, attachments and desires is that they feel they have to try so hard to remove these bondage chains!.. they try, try and try and even try to convince themselves that they've done it! ..........It never actually happens like that because the secret is to stop trying and to just "LET GO" of all the associations and mind feelings that are actually taking you towards those attachments. It's as if you "just stop trying". Having moh and desires actually takes personal energy and we don't realise that we use and expend it towards these directions. Secret of simran and yoga is that you divert all these energies towards Prabh ka simran..and to yog your jivatma with paramatma....and that's it!!!
  21. Yes for definite bro! I've had major TBI with frontal lobe injuries along with sub-arachnoid bleeding. My recovery has been good but concentration and focus span can be poor for certain tasks.(Not allowed to drive for this reason)
  22. I'm sure you have an idea for the answer here? lol A question to help promote discussion and some thinking amongst members I would assume. Anyway, It is important to realise that MUKTI is not just one type. Heh???? Firsty, there is mukhti from lakh chaurasi, mukti from the cycle. Which one have you taken birth for? One can be outside of lakh chaurasi and be at the heavens or outside the doors of Waheguru's dar. These angelic beings, shaheeds are mukht from the lakh chaurasi but they are not merged in completeness with niriankar in sachkhand. That merging is the next level of mukhti, where there is no identity whatsoever and you become the complete cosmic ocean of sachkhand. Pay close attention to some verses in japji sahib that tell you about who sings and does sift salah at waheguru's door. They are all mukht from lakh chaurasi but they are not merged in sachkhand with nirankar.
  23. @BhagatSingh @dalsingh101 Good posts here and you both got good points but we have to remember to not get too associated in one aspect or the other. The Kabir sloks quoted are very important and they are not only about gross/subtle, physical and non-physical , sargun/nirgu but they are about the stages of transformation and learning for a Sikh. I think that they are way too difficult to put into words and describe, which is why parables and metaphors are used. These 4 sloks are mentioned by kathavachaks quite often but even most of them just stay on the literal meanings, whereas they go much beyond that and are centered in around the complete aspects of maya in it's totality. @BhagatSingh- you've touched on the messages and into the directions of the non-literal meanings quite well. I will just give a little of my understanding but we have to remember that it is not complete, since these 4 couplets can never be penned in their totality as Duality will always be present as long as maya does KABIR SLOK 146 to 149 ਕਬੀਰ ਰੋੜਾ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੁ ਬਾਟ ਕਾ ਤਜਿ ਮਨ ਕਾ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥ Kabīr roṛā ho▫e rahu bāt kā ṯaj man kā abẖimān. Kabeer, let yourself be a pebble on the path; abandon your egotistical pride. He says pay attention to pebble, be a pebble that has no identity, no Ego. Become the rolling stone that gets kicked and rolled along and doesn't have an ego occupying gross space as compared to a larger rock/stone that stays set in it's position and occupies the space and identity of "that big rock on the road" ie. takes up fixed and set ground space and refuses to move. The 1st step is to become the pebble.......to drop the ego. ਐਸਾ ਕੋਈ ਦਾਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਾਹਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥੧੪੬॥ Aisā ko▫ī ḏās ho▫e ṯāhi milai bẖagvān. ||146|| Such a humble slave shall meet the Lord God. ||146|| ਕਬੀਰ ਰੋੜਾ ਹੂਆ ਤ ਕਿਆ ਭਇਆ ਪੰਥੀ ਕਉ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ Kabīr roṛā hū▫ā ṯa ki▫ā bẖa▫i▫ā panthī ka▫o ḏukẖ ḏe▫e. Kabeer, what good would it be, to be a pebble? It would only hurt the traveler on the path. Then he rejects the previous slok because the one who is WALKING on the path can get hurt. This means others and even your ego-less self....because you(the pebble) still have the power/energy to HURT and cause pain. Both, to others and experience yourself ............he's saying that you may have NO EGO but you can still have energies and qualities to give and experience DUKH ਐਸਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਉ ਧਰਨੀ ਮਹਿ ਖੇਹ ॥੧੪੭॥ Aisā ṯerā ḏās hai ji▫o ḏẖarnī mėh kẖeh. ||147|| Your slave, O Lord, is like the dust of the earth. ||147|| Gives solution to previous slok so as not to cause DUKH, what should he do? ... Become the dust i.e., when the pebble is completely eroded and grind,.. then it can become DUST and be DUKH-less. Let the pebble be pebble be ground to less gross matter and not cause DUKH ਕਬੀਰ ਖੇਹ ਹੂਈ ਤਉ ਕਿਆ ਭਇਆ ਜਉ ਉਡਿ ਲਾਗੈ ਅੰਗ ॥ Kabīr kẖeh hū▫ī ṯa▫o ki▫ā bẖa▫i▫ā ja▫o ud lāgai ang. Kabeer, what then, if one could become dust? It is blown up by the wind, and sticks to the body. -Still has problem after getting to this level because it will stick to the bodies of others and make them dirty, make their clothes dirty. One has to Wash because they accumalate layers of dirt and dust. The dust still has energy to make others dirty. It is also influenced and dictated by the SUBTLE wind, whereas when you were pebble it was whoever kicked you along the path as a rolling stone. The wind, the pavan represents the subtle emotions, the feelings the inner affects that good/bad sangat can influence you with. Whatever type of emotion and mind influencing sangat surrounds you can dictate on what gross areas you end up sticking and what gross actions you commit. This is quite a heavy affect on our inner being and state of mind. It is this influence that brainwashes the likes of fundamentalists, who let the emotions and feelings of senses (subtle), affect their gross behaviours and actions of suicide bombings and what they believe is shaheedi in the name of God. ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਚਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਨੀ ਸਰਬੰਗ ॥੧੪੮॥ Har jan aisā cẖāhī▫ai ji▫o pānī sarbang. ||148|| The humble servant of the Lord should be like water, which cleans everything. ||148|| Solution to overcoming the Kheh state that is not affected by emotions and senses is to become like water because the water washes dirt and cleans. Be the water, ...the water will always FLOW, become flowing he is saying, because the water finds it's settling direction by always flowing downwards and will continue to flow until it reaches the estuary, ocean or pond/pool of water. The water Flowing level will seem the perfect answer for most because at this level of overcoming affects of physical and mind emotions, one would believe they are in complete flowing hukam and letting the hukam dictate their path Kabit ji summarizes that after stripping layers, after shedding from outer gross layers and going inwards towards the subtle qualities, he still finds duality even when flowing in Hukam.. Even when in the state of water, where EGO has been DISSOLVED. and the direction of flow is not in water's own control, he is still affected with duality. This duality is explained in the next slok. ਕਬੀਰ ਪਾਨੀ ਹੂਆ ਤ ਕਿਆ ਭਇਆ ਸੀਰਾ ਤਾਤਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ Kabīr pānī hū▫ā ṯa ki▫ā bẖa▫i▫ā sīrā ṯāṯā ho▫e. Kabeer, what then, if one could become water? It becomes cold, then hot. Because it has duality of becoming hot and cold, angry and cool., Kabirji says that "I've become this inward state, EGO is Dissolved and letting the downward flow take me wherever it may lead. However, I can still be affected by the duality of tata- sira, hot-cold, boiling rage-cool calm..etc. He has described being the pebble, the dust and then the water. This is 3 states, 3 layers, 3 avasthas, 3 stages of transformation, 3 forms of maya. The 3 important and inescapable qualities of maya is just one of the directions that i've touched with. Pavan is the Guru of maya as in Pavan guru pani pita. Pavan influences as wind at the dust level, which is easily sensed, but it can also influence at more discreet subtle level as radiating heat to water.. Just think of the 3 forms of heat transfer as Conduction, Convection and Radiation. ... This is what I mean that we can go on and on with discussing maya aspects that are relative to these sloks but we have to really attempt experiencing to actually ever know. ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਐਸਾ ਚਾਹੀਐ ਜੈਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਹੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੧੪੯॥ Har jan aisā cẖāhī▫ai jaisā har hī ho▫e. ||149|| The humble servant of the Lord should be just like the Lord. ||149|| He finalises and concludes that the only way is to be like the Lord. We can strip layers, wash, transform,... but all of this is done in maya and even in the most subtle and dissolved ego state of letting the flow take you,....we are still affected by Maya.. Existing in the matrix will always mean being part of the matrix. The only avastha, state or layer that you can be Ik-Mikh (one and the same) with the Lord, is when you are "jaisa Har"..just like Har. The question will be that "how do we become like the Lord then"? When you can momentarily become jivan mukht and totally liberated from Maya. When you are out of the boundaries beyond all spiritual illusions and in to deeper sunn samadhi. In abyaas avastha, this can ONLY happen when the 9 doors close and the Dasam duar opens. When the Lord himself reveals the Truth to you, the darshan, the prakash, the becoming of Ik-mikh with Sach..... this is jaisa har and this is what you have to work on.......to get more and more antarghat, inwards,,,,more subtle until you are walking in hukam. Even then you have to completely let go and let your dissolved state take you into mool
  24. I say the same as Bhagat... It depends on what happened and more than that you should try and recall with what your emotional state was in the dream and what were you thinking or wanting even?............You don't need to tell anyone but that's for you to contemplate on. Nowadays, I do try and decipher the messages in my dream and to be honest, they are mostly about learning and self-development.. Anyway, as per the other thread and on a diagnostic note........-->>have these nightmares coincided with the deeper sleep states from 5-HT? .......either way, more bhagti needs to be done is always the bottom line answer for deciphering nightmares. it's a need to better yourself.
  25. Yeh, I did find that 5-HT brands and especially 100mg would make you groggy, but at the same time would also induce deep sleep. I think that this is also why many people take it along with melatonin to help them sleep or for insomnia. I found that taking the pre-cursor "tryptophan" in capsule form was more effective and not making me groggy. Keeping some tryptophan in hand is probably a good idea and much safer than taking prescription SSRI's like celexas, prozacs or benzos. Tryptophan will help with pineal stimulation whereas ssri's won't and neither will the dreaded St John's wort. At the end of the day,... simran and then getting to the shabad, will help eradicate all the chinta and anxieties. Gurbani tells us that this disease of the mind along with asa and trishna, can all be hammered and stopped once you learn to still and stop your mind with meditative quietening.
