Jungchamkaur: Sorry to say but a majority of later Rajput rulers were traitors and sell outs. Most of them submitted to Mughal Rule. Amongst brave heroes are the Rajputs of early 700-900s and the Marathi empire. Apart from that, sell-outs!

Even Guru Nanak criticised the rajput rulers for being traitors and weaklings.

Those people opposed to renameing of road are not HIndus but seculars.

Secular is another form of Christianity,

Fact is the abrahamism is trying toe at Jains, Hindus, Sikhs & Bhuddists alive they will either unite or perish.

Btw, the Pakistani 'Jatt' doesnt realize not following the dharam makes him a melech with no caste or identity anyway. He's no more 'jatt' than a coffee sipping gora in london.

  • )  Bhappa Rawal
  • Bappa Rawal played an important role in the Battle of Rajasthan, a series of wars fought in the 8th century AD between the regional rulers of North-Western India and the Arabs of Sindh, in which the regional Indian rulers inflicted a resounding defeat on the invading Arabs. In the 8th century Arab Muslims started attacking India within a few decades of the birth of Islam, which was basically an extension of invasion of Persia. In order to ward off Muslim invasions across the western and northern borders of Rajputana, Bappa united the smaller states of Ajmer and Jaisalmer to stop the attacks. Bappa Rawal fought and defeated the Arabs in the country and turned the tide for a while. Bin Qasim was able to defeat Dahir in Sindh but was stopped by Bappa Rawal. Some accounts say that Qasim attacked Chittor, which was ruled by Mori Rajputs. Bappa, of Guhilot dynasty, was a commander in Mori army and so was Dahir's son. Bappa defeated and pursued Bin Qasim through Saurashtra and back to the western banks of the Sindhu (i.e. current day Baluchistan). He then marched on to Ghazni and defeated the local ruler Salim and after nominating a representative returned to Chittor. After Raja Mori named Bappa Rawal his successor and crowned him King of Chittor, Bappa Rawal and his armies invaded various kingdoms including Kandahar, Khorasan, Turan, Ispahan, Iran and made them vassals of his kingdom. Thus he not only defended India's frontiers but for a brief period was able to expand them.

  • 68) Sardar Baaj Singh.

Sardar Baj Singh was the second of eight sons of Rao Nathiaji Puar. His elder brother was Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bangeshwar. Bhai Mani Singh was his cousin.

He was an EX-umrah of Sarkar-e-Bangash on whose throne was his elder brother Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bangeshwar. He led a cavalry of 2000 horsemen. He was much acclaimed for his bravery and ferocity.

In the battle of Sirhind fought at Chappar Chiri in May 1710, Baj Singh was in command of the right wing of Banda Singh`s army. He faced Nawab Wazir Khan in the battle striking his horse down with a lance. This led to the fall of Sarkar-e-Sirhind. Sardar Baj Singh became first governor of Khalsa Raj after this battle. It said by the writers of the Mughal court in their memoirs, that at Baj Singh's execution, the Mughal emperor Farrukhsiyar asked tauntingly where is the brave Baj Singh whom whole Mughal army feared, where is his bravery now? Baj Singh was shackled, but replied I am Baj Singh. You have tied my feet and hands in iron chains, open one of them i will let you know of my bravery. Then his feet were freed, but with his hands still tied. Baj Singh snatched the sword of a nearby soldier and killed 16 men on the spot while the emperor fled.[

  • 69) Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bhangashwar.
  • Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bangeshwar (Sarkar-i-Bangash Umra-i-Azam Sardar Bhagwant Singh ) was an Indian ruler of bangash ( in present day punjab state of pakistan ) of 18 th century . He was a scion of the great Puar rajput dynasty and cousin brother of Bhai Mani Singh .Rajput kings ( Kshatriya ) have their dharma to give protection from harm according to Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita and Sardar Bhagwant Singh being a true rajput could not silently see atrocities being done on the weak although most of his ruling rajput counterparts had left their true kshatriya dharma . Sardar Bhagwant Singh shook the Mughal rule in Punjab and laid the foundation of Khalsa uprising without caring much of his high princely status. In two centuries after 1500 Rajput rulers began to take high positions in Mughal court. Apart from being a ruler he was a fierce warrior too, which led Aurangzeb to make him a panj-hazari mansabdar and give title of umar-i-azam which was highest mansab given to rajput rulers. He was engaged in a battle with kamal khan who was Mughal commander of attock fort . He killed kamal khan in a fierce battle and made the Mughals fear his might .Wazir khan ( Sarkar - i - Sirhind ) had a mansab of 2000 horsemen under Aurangzeb which was much less as compared to mansab of 5000 horsemen of Sardar Bhagwant Singh ( Sarkar - i - Bangash ), so Wazir Khan's defeat was certain. Sardar Bhagwant Singh along with his seven brothers and Banda Singh Bahadur( whom Guru Gobind Singh sent with them acknowledging him as Guru's son ) made his sword bath in tyrant's blood and ruined the Mughal rule in Sirhind which was a very big mughal subah extending from Sutlej to Yamuna. His one brother Sardar Baj Singh ( First Governor of Khalsa Raj ) was made governor of Sirhind and one more of his brothers, Sardar Ram Singh was made governor of Thanesar. He kept his word given to the Guru.

this list is not exhaustive, there are many more.. hindus have done more even as a disunited force than any other faith can attest to.

sellouts? buddy, rathores were married with mughals... yet durga das rathore launched a 30yr war that exhausted mughals more than all of sikh history combined... and a veteran of that war taught guru gobind singh shastar vidya... which world do you peasants live in?

its no wonder sikhs only had a handful of kingdoms.... all of which claim rajput descent btw. .

the list above does not do justice to hindu valor... these are only a few of our heroes... 100s of thousands have attained veergati.

even the pathanias had treaties with mughals and rebelled periodically.. time and time again.. and conquered territory past the khyber pass.. as did the kachwahaas who launched attacks against pashtuns to protect punjab... dont forget about bhattis who executed depredations into punjab and harassed muslim rulers there many occasions...

its just sad and pathetic that secular indian history (bjp doesnt do so great either) is neglecting this history... and eveyrone knows why, its a means of domesticating rajputs and hindus as a whole. and your pathetic singh sabha is based on pure lies and exaggerated tales of bravery.

the aforementioned names dont look at bundels and many other rajput tribes... if you want to understand indian history you have to understand that it was based on city states and tribal affiliations. religion became an important facet of course but for the most part, tribal identities played a bigger role. but since you people are new to politics you would not understand.. its no wonder your a subdued and crushed peoples. and im not saying rajputs are doing great right now.. but history and facts dont lie, sikhs were brave and did a lot, but its meagre in comparison to rajputs and marathas. anyone who can count numbers can attest to this.

each rajput tribe has history that can overshadow sikh history as a whole. regardless of marital alliances, the gurus had no problem sleeping in the home of jai singh kachwaha, and the kachwahas freed shivaji maratha from mugal imprisonment and jai singh was poisoned..

dont forget about padam singh either... .. but you have a black and white narrative.. hence why you up time and time again by governing powers.

the katoch rajputs have fought more than all of sikh history combined, take a look at their history as well. guru gobind singh gave them the title of dharam rakshak.

Bro, there is no doubt that Rajputs are brave and fought valiantly in the past. There are Sikhs of Rajput descent too, who were famous warriors of the tenth master.

One cannot compare a religion (Sikhs) with a race (Rajputs).

Btw, not all Sikhs are of peasant background.

Jungchamkaur Rajputs were brave, but the fact remains they had shameful defeats when they had all the resources.Prithviraj must be world's first or second strongest ruler, yet he was unable to defend India, Rana Sangha  had much upper hand against tired small number of soldiers of Babur yet Babar was managed to defeat him. Rajput's lost north India to muslims its a fact.

The reason  sikhs are proud because they started as very small movement but in 100 years of time they ruled vast area with muslim majority population.whenever a David defeat Goliath he is much more remembered . Rajputs were giants in front of Muslims yet they lost . so stop bragging about as if Rajputs only had glorious history

Most of those you mention there were rebels under foreign Muslim rule. Fact is Muslims dominated large parts of India for some 700-800 without any serious contender to power. During this period most Hindu rulers submitted to foreign Muslim rule. Later on the brave Marathas rebeled and were able to go from rebels to rulers. At this same time the Sikhs were kicking the Afghans out of Northern India - de facto ending 800 years of muslim rule!!

Lets not turn this into a "my dad is greater than your dad"... Lets just look at facts.

Also read katoch history and history of rathores who almost defeated sher sha suri with 12,000 against 80,000..

There are many more incidents like this but you won't know unless you read..

Only fudhoos ride off their ancestors deeds like they personally participated in their struggles themselves...

Having wonderful ancestors doesn't make one immune from being a dick, actually sometimes the ego inflation of having such ancestors increases the chance of people acting like knobs.

high birth rate, majority lives in UP Bihar which has highest birth rate in India, more than one wife.

Contrary to the popular belief, very few Muslims in India marry more than one wife. The real reason is certainly higher TFR for Muslims which is causing their % to increase. Indic religions are falling because they have embraced the secular culture and other follies like hedonism, feminism, other kinds of western-isms etc which naturally leads to a lower TFR.

Secularism is a trojan horse, a safety net for Abrahamisms. Ask yourself why all "minority" indic religions like Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Tribal faiths have declined while the 2 minorities (global majorities) have grown ? Even the other pagan, non Indian faith of Zoroastrianism is in decline.

Here's an example of American imposed secularism on Japan after WWII - outlawing Shinto participation in the public sphere. Done specifically with the intent of Christianizing Japan.

Secularism is an abrahamic doctrine, it came from an abrahamic framework. Hence by implication, in practise it will favor Abrahamisms only. Don't judge by the externals (Belief in god etc), look more into what it actually preaches (very similar to christian theology),  the psychology, how it actually operates on the ground and why some countries are so adamant on pushing it on others.

Here's a good article explaining the Christian origins of Secularism and seperation of church & state:

Sikhs were kicking.. not really as Marathas did the honours even in Punjab. Maratha forces led by Raghunath Rao conquered Punjab in 1758. They won battles at Sirhind Lahore and finally Peshawar. They chased Afghans out including Abdali's son Taimur. high time you start giving some F-A-C-T-S. Sikhs ended muslim rule Hahahah Fact is no Mughal emperor ever bothered to fight Sikhs himself while Aurangzeb fought against Marathas for 25 years !!

read from independent sources

Though Ahmad Shah Abdali had to return hurriedly from India, his invasions affected the history of India in several ways. Firstly, it accelerated the dismemberment of the tottering Moghul Empire. Secondly, it offered a serious check to the rapidly spreading Maratha imperialism. Thirdly, it indirectly helped the rise of the Sikh power. "His career in India," observes a modern writer, " is very intimately a part of the Sikh struggle for independence." Lastly, the menace of Afghan invasion kept the English East India Company in great anxiety, both during the lifetime of Ahmad Shah Abdali and for some time after his death.

Abdali halted Maratha imperialism while sikhs grew stronger

As far as mughals are concerned they lost most of their power against Marathas and rajpoots. Punjab was the least of the mughals worries. As sher has correctly said Aurangzeb spent 25yrs fighting Marathas and 30yr war led by durgadas rathore who's soldier trainer guru gobind Singhji. However there were others who tormented Aurangzeb as well. Bundelas and other rajputs fought him as well. Like I said many times, Sikh history can barely compare to one single rajput clan..

People discussing Marathas vs Sikhs, why rajputs are superior, eggs allowed or not, feeling disturbed by sexual imagery in SGGS etc when you (all of you - hindus, buddhist, sikh, jain ) are facing an existential threat. Just another day at Sikh "Awareness". Kinda reminds me of the Romans before their fall.

Romans in 5th century: "Jesus is part human, part divine" , "Heretic! His human nature is subsumed by the divine!"

Huns: "Give us your gold."

Keep living in the past and gloating in something that you had no role in, in the end when it really counted (1947), it didn't matter who conquered what in Sirhind. Taliban & Al Qaeda roam in Pak now, thanks to underbreeding & hedonism by both Hindus and Sikhs in W.Punjab. So what good was your Maratha/Sikh/Rajput whatever rule. Demographics is destiny.

Fact is that 6th master started rebellion, & was a khatri.

Most Sikhs were Jattas/Rajputras with plenty of Shudras/Vaishya/Bramins (20-30%)

So what is point of 'hindu' rajput arguing about sikhi when he reads Ramayan in Braj written in Anandpur.

What is point of 'sikh' arguing with him when the majority of Sikhs are exact same gotras as him.

Either way, whether you are a shudra, vaishya, bramin, or ksytria

THEY ARE TRYING TO RAPE YOUR SISTERS & KILL YOUR MOTHERS.

KEEP ARGUING ABOUT MEAT EGGS FACT IS FOR SURVIVAL YOU CAN EVEN KILL COW IN WAR, SO HOW DOES DIET MATTER?

WE ARE FACING EXTINCTION

HINDU CIVILIZATION WENT UP TO XINJIANG & RUSSIA.
