Being a Shaheed is not easy. Even if you die in dharam yudh but in your last thoughts your mind is not engrossed in Naam, you will not attain full shaheedi

That's why the actual Shaheeds keep getting found eating Sukha. So they can focus bro. While they die.

If you don't know about Sukha or Shaheed maybe don't comment.

If you read Krishanavtar, you will find a lot about a particular drink which they drank after having won the battles and for recreation . Not sure if it was alcohol or something else, translation varies.

Is it called soma?

They gave great presents to Krishna, who then taking Arjuna along with him went to eat; they requested poppy seeds, opium, cannabis and alcohol, indulging with these they removed all their anxieties

Consuming these four they became intoxicated and Krishna then said to Arjuna, "Brahma [the Creator who made the seven oceans] has done nothing right, for why did he not make the Eighth Ocean out of alcohol?"

Then Arjuna, while folding his hands, replied to Hari [Krishna], "Why would he create that? What would this dull Brahmin know of these pleasures?"

Som Ras refers to a drink of the Demi-Gods. It is extracted from a plant. It is said to give the boon of immortality.

Maybe some people call Alcohol as Soma.

It is probably called Panj Ratni.

The following passage is from the Krishnavatar, wherein Guru Gobind Singh is describing Krishna attending a gathering of warriors, who are celebrating Krishna's defeat over Jarasandh. Balrama, Krishna's brother, pleases Krishna greatly by presenting him with wine during the celebration and then Guru Gobind Singh writes that Balrama says:

[Balrama speaking], "Warriors! Pass a little along, and drink even more wine!" , This is what Balrama told the gathering near Krishna. "To lose your life fighting in the hard of battle! This is what befits warriors!"

The Poet Shyaam [Guru Gobind Singh] speaks of this wine; which Bhrigu Rishi has spoken ill against due to the story of Kacha

But the Poet Raam [Guru Gobind Singh] says, it is from Brahma that this nectar [that is wine] was obtained to the Gods [after the churning of the World-Ocean]

When Panja Sahib Saka happened, devotees came to Baba Nand Singh and told about the saka how many sikhs got shaheed. Baba Nand Singh ji took a sigh and said in their last moments of death they had feelings of regret, why did they have to die like this, hence their shaheedi was not parvan. Only a Antaryami Brahmgiani can know about the real truth.

Source?

Thanks

Hasn't Afeem been around in India since ancient times?

I might be wrong but I think afeem use was a later development compared to using sukha.

Looks at lines 103/104, do they seem strange to you?

It is also possible that Singhs (from so-called lower castes) might not have been allowed to prepare Degh, as they might not be well acquainted with hygiene standards/protocols, as other Sikhs (Brahman, Khatri, Rajput, etc) might be.

There might be a context behind those verses.

Do you know any specific reason for No. 16? Bred swine.

No idea about the specific reasons. Sorry bro.

The meat of a Domestic Pig and a Donkey has been explicitly prohibited (along with Halal meat) in a Puratan Rehatnama (Bhai Daya Singh) too.
