The below Gurbanis are recited in addition to the 5 Gurbanis at Sri Hajoor saab.

  • First chapter of Sri Shastar Naam Mala
  • 33 Saviye
  • 3 more Saviye
  • First Charitar.

@GurjantGnostic

Daas has to check where those 3 Savaiye are located in the Sri Dasam Granth. It does seem that they do not recite any passage from Sri Bachittar Natak though.

In Hazur Sahib, Bakra is not eaten according to what I have heard, jhatka is done for shastar tilak.

The primary aim of the public bloodletting for no real purpose is to simply denigrate Sikhi and dissaude local folks from learning about Sikhi and becoming Sikh.

Remember Dravidian (Deccan) land is the noble land were one of our Panj Piare originated from (Karnataka) yet due to these sects which remained loyal to the British between 1849-1947 this spectacle takes place in order to denigrate the wider Sikh Panth and effectively discourage 300million Dravidians from following the same path as Bhai Sahib Singh.

I found a little something on Jhatka from Tamil. Long story short, the Thuggis, like Sajjan Thug, we're unjustly cut out of culture because they hunted traditionally, and were forced into ill repute. Guru Nanak Dev Ji went into the jungle himself to save Sajjan Thug and bring the Thugis back into society. And they traditionally practiced Shikar and Jhatka. In a way you could say it's protected Thugi Dharam

Exactly @GurjantGnostic bro. Nothing wrong with Jhatka and shikar when there is no other food for isolated tribes to survive upon.

The problem is when food is plentiful in 2022 but animals are slaughtered purely for blood tilaks and to make Sikhi look like a joke to our Dravidian brethren.

Mmm indeed. It isn't for show. Or to make forhead paint.

Mahaparshad is eaten by Sikhs too.

Jhatka Maryada makes Sikhs looks like warriors, not like jokers.

Gurbani clearly doesn't make meat a salvation issue but does compassionately steer away from it. Often times Bhagat Kabeer Ji interestingly.

Is there a karmic impact on a individual for eating meat?

The Lekha for meat eating is definitely more than a Lacto-vegetarian diet. Therefore, we must try to stay Lacto-vegetarian to be on the safe side, until and unless meat eating is needed for survival (or for medical reasons).

Questions and answers with Santren Daya Singh Singh Ji

From

Sadhna butcher was changed, a voice came from the mind of Sadhna butcher that sometimes I have killed this goat, sometimes this goat has killed me, how long will it continue? Sadhna butcher listened to mind’s voice and stopped slaughtering goat. The Guru speaks in the mind and Sikh listen. If someone could not identify that Guru Ji’s voice then he is not a Gursikh. The age is on the breath which does not increase or decrease, it also happens that the age in years of the vegetarian increases even the breath remain the same because vegetarian diet consume less breathe in eating and digesting. If a person eats tobacco, eats meat, lust, gets angry and is greedy, busy accumulating money, his age in years decreases because more breath is used in all these activities. The one who lives in Sehaj Living (Gursikh living) stay longer.

Bhai Gurdas Ji also has this sakh
