Bad Indian mentality

Hindus accuse Muslims of increasing population which is true. But there is a Hindu poor daily labourer in my village in UP. His name is Rishipal. He was mad about having a boy child and in this process has got 7 daughters. His wife died recently. He has married 2 of his daughters. 3 girls do some labour job and couple of them are too young to work. BJP govt. provides them 40 kg of wheat/rice etc.  free of cost every month which is a good thing govt. is doing.

But why this obsession with boy child? Girl child is so cute and girls these days can do any job that a man is doing like army, police, doctor lawyer etc.

i have observed it only in south asians. I dont think whites, latins or any other groups ( even arabs) care about such things. Here in Toronto as well many south asians were getting female fetuses aborted for a long time Not sure how much has changed in the past 10 years.

Disagree.

in more conservative cultures, boys seem to be highly valued for similar reasons as in S Asia (and girls are considered more a hassle)

e.g. it’s thought boys will look after parents , and continue family line and inheritance etc. many men also want a boy to pass and share interests in sports .

Girls are treated well or equally as boys in many cultures, but the conservative ones (including most Muslims) worry about the same problems of their girls being mistreated by men with bad intentions and being taken advantage of .

But I do know there is still some policies in UK for example to prevent parents knowing of the gender of child when on pregnancy to avoid female foeticide

wheat/rice barely has any nutrition. Its just a cheap food that will prevent people from starving and is used by the govt to keep the people barely alive. So many children in India are malnourished and suffer from metabolic syndrome and nutritional deficiencies due to mostly eating these carb heavy foods. People keep birthing multiple kids and giving them wheat/rice and then you are stuck in this vicious cycle.

I think alongside wheat/rice, some pulses and some cooking oil is also given. Is that ok nutrition?

Could our sant babas also be contributing to the problem by only blessing people with boys?

Definetely, fake sant babas will do so.

For true Saints, themselves live in His hukum and teach us human beings also in living in that state, for all that happens is due to our own past karmas, with our past karmas, we get our present life, with a particular gender, born to particular parents, particular country, race, siblings, friends and foes... even our birth and death is conditioned by our karmas, from our low and petty manipulative human level, we think we can modify or change things/events .... but from a higher level, everything is happening within the parameters of the law of karma, our very own unchangeable past karmas.

The Bani says: aapay beejeh aapay khaae.

If the Lord started acting as per our manipulative and petty desires, His creation would be a chaos, but thankfully He has kept Himself out the reach of those greedy, ahankari, and egoistical manipulative human beings.... for He is only available to those who love Him only, for His sake alone, and live in His will at all times.

What does he think of Gurmat?  Have you given him any katha cds/videos or Gurmat books to him and his family?

Have you taken him to Gurdwara, what did he think or helped him financially?
