On 26 September, 34 year-old Jagdeesh Singh was walking home with his 10-year-old nephew from Walsgrave Hospital when he was subjected to a barrage of racist abuse. Two White men then launched a physical attack on Mr Singh - punching him some 30 times, while calling him 'Bin Laden' and 'Paki'. According to Mr Singh, the attack was the seventh violent racist attack on him in the last ten years, and definitely the worst. 'On none of these seven occasions has the culprits been punished. They have either escaped or the police have not felt it appropriate to pursue the matter further.' Mr Singh, who wears a beard and turban, suggested that these visible 'symbols' had been the trigger for the attacks. The latest attack comes at a time, when incidents against Muslims, Sikhs and other visible ethnic minorities are increasing and in recent months, the city of Coventry has been targeted by British National Party propaganda about Muslims and Asians 'preying on their girls'. Combat SAMBO is a very aggressive system designed to prepare an individual to be effective in any situation. The purpose of Combat SAMBO is to "survive". Combat SAMBO includes techniques from both Sport and Self-Defense SAMBO, but uses them in different ways. It includes techniques that are dangerous and prohibited in sports. They couldnt care less about so called recruits....neither i do care.. My point of this post: If you don't care about learning sikh martial arts then do expect to get worse than this on the streets... (note bit of sarcasm and realism in previous line) How do you know that SV is the original Sikh martial arts? history proves it, although there will always be doubt in some minds, however i believe that the science still exists and although bits may be lost, we should preseve as much as possible. Why not learn other martial arts? you can. no problem with that. this is a EXAMPLE.. its like a sikh learning about different religions, we can learn about other arts, but we have a science unique to us. Why ONLY sv? personally speaking, why learn second best when you can learn the best. That is my personal opinion, not the opinion of their entire universe. Go read history how Guru Nanak Dev Ji has bandhaaar of shastar vidiya which was passed down to Baba Budda Ji then to Guru Hargobind Sahib and other Guru's. Sikhs are peaceful but they are not coward who will fear gun, bully or racist. Sikhs should try to learn self defense and do not let these racists go away without punishment. We should make it world news whenever there is any attack on Sikhs and go to authorities and news papers. Sikhs are peaceful as far as there is no injustice.
