Most of the active "sikhs" you think you know are'nt even sikhs at all.

Read the novel "1984" by George Orwell. Applies to the tactics used by national governments including India's (and USA's, UK's, Canada, etc). You will be made to denounce everything you once believed in, and you will love them for it. You will waste the rest of your days sitting around drinking gin (or bhang, as the case may be).

Trust no-one.

i sincerely hope i'm being paranoid and that there's nothing to worry about. but i can't stop worrying. right to trial by jury is going out of the window, anti-terror laws (trust me they will never be repealed) allow indefinite detention of "terror" suspect, etc.

even the hunt for bob and the incidents in punjab recently are all known to the Man. they're just waiting for some confused kharkoo to carry out one of the zillion threats to kill, and then that's it they'll take control of the sikh community and take away right to kirpan, etc.

1984, Govt conspiracies, Orwellian FICTION.

Someone sounds overly paranoid. to be fair i think britain is one of the freest (is that even a word?) societies in the world. I can pretty much do anything within reason and not be persecuted. Even state apparatus like the police have treated my fairly well on the occasions i have been on the wrong side of the law.

also, countries like the uk are socialist/communist cleverly disguised.

never really seen it from that angle. i can see socialism (openly) but not really communism. please do expand on this statement.

it would be a waste of time expounding on this with such unfriendly people. suffice to say that communism is not limited to marxism. it comes in many forms. communal control over factors of prod. esp people is especially in evidence.

EDIT: expanding on the above i'm not saying anyone in particular is unfriendly, just that i'm finding it hard to think of reasons to want to help you people at the moment.

well one reason for expanding on such a grandiose statement is that we can understand your point of view better. As a person who works in the city i can see that most industry is controlled by a few institutional stake holders, it can't really be classed as communal control, unless you mean by legislation. but i still fail to see how britian is a communist country.

i've long thought that orwell's novel is a prophecy come true... but in a more subtle/hidden way... which in my view makes it more sinister.

this is seen in it's most extreme form in the american neo-conservatives... using their straussian philosophy to control the population through fear of an illusory enemy. the scariest thing being their belief in their own concocted fanstasies, a la "double think".

bl, how do u define communism?
