  1. Pen Jee, when coming to love Wahiguru alone, there is never any excess ..... it is nothing but His Grace. We are a drop of that Satnam Samundar of Pyaar , and whatever concept we have of ourselves, is nothing but like a grain of sand in this Mahabhavsagar. All rivers go and merge in the Ocean, and yet it is not too much at all. The Ocean accepts and embraces them all ... Love for Wahiguru, means to live in His will at all times. Believe it, the pull you feel within for Wahiguru, is not much on your part, as much as His powerfull pull, it is He who is pulling the string of your heart from within. So be thankful to Him, to bless you more and more as much as possible, as this is the only load/stock of wealth we shall take with us. One more thing, to be able to digest and cope with this His blessing on you, try to keep constant simran running in you, at all times. Cause as the saying goes, when one does His work(true love/devotion), He arranges and takes care of our worldy affairs. Ja Tu Mere Wal Hai Ta Kya MuhChanda, Tud Sab Kich Mainu Saunpeya Ja Tera Banda God bless you dear child! Sat Sree Akal.
  2. Sister, I do not want to discourage you or anybody, do what you want, but just ask yourself : to speed up, but for what? You see, you say you want to this in dedication to Baba Deep Singh. It is fine. But have we not got anything to do with Wahiguru? Have we not, any duty towards our True Father Wahiguru? You see, all Gurmukhs, Sant Janas, dedicate their wholes lives to make us understand throughly, that Wahiguru is the only permanent Truth. And they come by the Hukum of Akal Purukh, to just make us understand, that if ever we have to do any devotion, it should be of Wahiguru alone. If we ever want to please someone, it has to be Wahiguru. If we ever have to love someone, it has to be Wahiguru. It is His Jot, which is present in all. All owe their existence and presence to Him, Wahiguru. Even Dasam Pitama, said: I am a servant of Wahiguru, and I have to come to see His Creation´s play. So in my most humble suggestion, if ever you or anybody wants to do any paath, do it of the most sweetest aksahar: Wahiguru, Wahiguru, Wahiguru... If you ever want to see the results, try the 108 times of any Paath as many times you want, and on the other side , do even 1 hour of Simran Jaap of Wahiguru, and see by yourself, the huge difference .... After all, any devotion we do, isn´t it, to please in Wahiguru? And that also, to earn His Glance of Grace and Mercy, in ordeer to become spotless, and one day merge in Him. You see, any Paath, is singing His infinite Glory; but repeating His Name, through His Simran, is calling on Him directly, and it this our calling on Him, which makes us nearer and nearer to Him. For example, a child talks about the virtues of his/her mother... the mother somehow listens to its child; but as long as the child does not say mummy, mummy, mummy...the mother does not come... With our heavenly Father Wahiguru, something similarly happens ... As long as we cling on and keep ourselves busy with other terms of devotion, He stays where He is. But the moment we call Him saying Wahiguru, Wahiguru, Wahiguru... He leaves His abode, and with each of our steps towards Him, He takes hundred steps towards us. The thing is, if we ever have to do any devotion, why not His? The highest. We should not do what the world does, let them do what they want ... Rather we should only, and only follow what the Bani says: Jin Har jappeya, se Har hoeeya. We may read the Banis as much as possible, because we get more and more in love with Him, because our whole being gets in a state of bliss, as we hear of His unlimted mahima, His unbound grace ... we just get sweepd away, by just hearing a fraction of His wonderfull and countless virtues, as it surpasses any mental realm ..... It is like getting in trance, with just listening as said, His beant Mahima. But with His Simran we get imbued with these His virtues mentioned above. His Simran, is simple, you can do it as much as you want, without any restrictions or limitations, you can do it while going to work, at home , while bathing, while eating, etc ...etc ... It is the most complete and simple jugtee at the same time, and the more one does His Simran, the more spiritual wealth we gather, for the day we shall have to leve this physical frame and plane. You see pen jee, the Bani beautfully says: Har Simran meh Prabh aap Nirankara. This means, the Supreme Lord Wahiguru, is hidden in His Simran. So if we do it within us, He makes Himself Pargat within us, thus and only thus we become Him. Sister, there is nothing in comparison to His Simran, in terms of devotion, to Him. Please forgive me, if I have said anything which is not in accordance to your way of perceiving things, as for me, I have only taken you as a sister, and I have said only what I have understood a little from the pure paviter Bani of our Guru Sahibans. As the Bani is much much more than our petty minds. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. Cult or sect, can be called to all those who personaly or collectively do not worship Wahiguru Akal Purukh, the highest Power, or Supreme Consciousness, sole Reality. There can be no greater "durmat", to not be blessed to worship and adore Him. To influence and pollute others with hatred, and violence, which leads to fanatism, thus spiritual ignorance, is also cult, howsoever they may appear religiously inclined. Being religious is not synonymous to become spiritually enlightened. Either one loves Wahiguru, and one has Him as his/her goal, or not, that´s it in short. Now how to love, worship and adore Him, is another topic, but basically, under the term cult, comes everyone who does not have Wahiguru as his/her, Aadhaar. As the Bani says: Santa kee tek toon, bhakta kee oat toon, Sachaa sirjan haar .... Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Do not try to do anything, just pay attention to your Simran. It is a total mind cleanser. You see, we may ask why is it so difficult to do dhyan of Wahiguru, though we also know, He is formless .... We must bear in mind, we are filled with the filth of countless karmas, sanskaras, vasnas, mind, bodies etc .....so many layers of dirt accumulated on us ..... Just for example, you have a thousand watts bulb, and you wrap it with black cloth with several rounds on it. What will happen? The light will get shun. In the same way, Wahiguru Akal Purukh is within us, with such a Jot refulgence, that even millions o¡f Suns and moons together, will fall down in shame... So, you see, everything is within us, even the creator Wahiguru; but, the problem is with us, our spiritual sight has to be opened. And the only medicine which can do so, is His aukhad Naam. So, no matter, if we close our eyes, and we see darkness only, even then, we should persist, persist and persist...then a day will come, when He will make Himself pargat within us. Even if we die and it may seem we have achieved nothing, there is no need to worry, His bhakti does not go in waste, in our next bith, with His Grace, we shall get better envoirments, in order to do His bhakti, even more efficiently, so that in the end our soul drop, merges in Satnam Samundar. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. Usually people call brahmgyani, to someone who has attained access to inner reality to an extent, and has quite a good spiritual knowledge also. But as usual, Gurbani has the answers here to this topic. I am going to reproduce just a few lines from Sukhmani Sahib, regarding the status of a Brahmgyani. Brahmgyani sang sagal udhar: In the company of a Brahmgyani, all are saved. Nanak, Brahmgyani, japai sagal sansaar : O Nanak, in the company of a Brahmgyani, everyone learns to worship and remeber God. Brahgyani kai Naam adhaar: The Name of the Lord, is the support of the Brahmgyani. Brahmgyani, Brahm ka betá. Bramgyani ek sang hetá: The Brahmgyani is the knower of God. The Brahmgyani is loves God alone. There is much more mahima in the Bani, of a Perfect Being like a Brahmgyani...to the extent that, Guru Sahiban, in the end proclaims: Nanak, Brahmgyani sarab ka Dhani. O Nanak, the Bramgyani is the Lord Himself. I suggest all, to read again and again Sukhmani Sahib, just reproducing a few lines, does no justice to the Mahima of a Brahmgyani. We by ourselves can never ever know or judge someone of that spiritual heights. The Bani is utterly beyond any beauty that one can imagine.... It is like, giving gur to a dumb person and ask him, how is the taste of it. As the Bani says: Brahmgyani ka daras, vadbhagee paeeyey. To be in the company of a Brahmgyani and have His Darshan, is not in our hands either, it by good fortune, by His blessings, that we get drawn at the Lotus Feet of such a being... The Bani of our Guru Sahibans, is not just for to read it like parrots, but, to take the "rus of Amrit" of each singe word in it, which are sweeter than any honey, as it is the Pure paviter Bani, chanted by our very Guru Sahibans, and Bhagats of the Highest spiritual order. Sat Sree Akal
  6. The Bani says: Jin Har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. I think, it is quite clear, that, only those who mediatate on Him, shall merge in Him, as He is the only everlasting, permanent and changeless Truth. So naturally, all others, who do not follow this advice by our Guru Sahibans, shall pitifully merry go round in the Chaurasee ka chakar. Sat Sree Akal.
  7. Simran and mind control. To control the mind the best and easiest method is to repeat constantly God's Name. Concentration is attained by fixing the attention on the sound of the Name. As the mind is concentrated, there must follow meditation upon the glorious attributes of God. Continuous practice of utterance of the Name and meditation stops the restlessness of the mind and merges it into the blissful, eternal and universal Self. God remembrance is not possible unless you have an intense longing to realize Him. This intense desire is called bbakti [devotion]. This longing must so seize your mind, that you should feel a sensation of acute pain when you forget God on account of selfish desires. Your actions should also go to purify your mind, I.e., they should be done in a spirit of nisbkama [desirelessness]. Purity of mind means freedom from lust, wrath and greed. For a pure mind alone can see God. Concentration itself is purity. Forget not that the God that you seek is within yourself. Words of Sree Ramakrishna Parmahansa.
  8. HEALTH : 20 QUESTIONS - 20 ANSWERS The Definitive Answer To 20 Of Your Biggest Health Questions: Does olive oil prevent heart disease? Short answer: Yes The health benefits of olive oil come from the presence of polyphenols, antioxidants That reduce the risk of heart diseases <http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/81/1/215S.full> and cancers. But to get these healthy compounds, consumers should buy good-quality, fresh "extra-virgin" olive oil, which has the highest polyphenol content. Most commercially available olive oils have low levels of polyphenols <http://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-pick-the-healthiest-olive-oil-2013-7> associated with poor harvesting methods, improper storage, and heavy processing. Do cough syrups work? Short answer: No In 2006, the nation's chest physicians agreed <http://www.nbcnews.com/id/10777506/ns/health-cold_and_flu/t/doctors-discourage-use-cough-medicine/#.UgqsK2T70Wc> that the majority of over-the-counter cough medicines don't actually work. These colorful syrups typically contain doses of codeine and dextromethorphan that are too small to be effective. Only cough suppressants that contain older antihistamines seem to relieve coughs. That includes brompheniramine, an active ingredient in Dimetapp. Do sugary soft drinks lead to diabetes? Short answer: Yes The majority of health research is stacked against sugar-sweetened soda <http://www.businessinsider.com/why-soda-is-bad-for-you-2013-5> . A large 2004 study <http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=199317> in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that women who drank one or more sugary drinks per day increased their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 83% compared to those who consumed less than one of these beverages per month. Do I need sunscreen with more than 30 SPF? Short answer: No Sunscreens with an SPF (sun protection factor) of 30 block about 97% of ultraviolet rays, While sunscreens with an SPF of higher than 30 block 97%-98%. It's more important that you choose "broad-spectrum" sunscreen, meaning it protects against both UVB and UVA rays. Sunbathers also need to apply a generous amount of sunscreen <http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-2133.2006.07684..x/abstract%3bjsessionid=5863DBDE73CFD6CC3689B914B9F2B7AB.d04t01> in order to get the full benefit of the SPF. Is the MSG in Chinese likely to give you a headache? Short answer: No A review of 40 years of clinical trials, published in the journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2006 <http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1745-7599.2006.00160..x/abstract> , Found that all previous research "failed to identify a consistent relationship between the consumption of MSG And the constellation of symptoms that comprise the syndrome," including headaches and asthma attacks. The misconception spawned from several poorly-done small studies in the 1960s that seemed to connect <http://www.nejm.org/doi/pdf/10.1056/NEJM196804042781419> MSG with a variety of maladies that people experienced after eating at Chinese restaurants. Learn more about the MSG myth here » <http://www.businessinsider.com/msg-allergy-doesnt-exist-2013-8> Do nuts make you fat? Short answer: No As much as 75% of a nut is fat. But eating fat doesn't necessarily make you fat. The bigger factor leading to weight gain is portion-size. Luckily, nuts are loaded with healthy fats that keep you full. They're also a good source of protein and fiber. One study even found that whole almonds have 20% less calories <http://www.businessinsider.com/calorie-counts-arent-accurate-2013-7> than previously thought because A lot of the fat is excreted from the body. Is walking as effective as running? Short answer: Yes Studies have shown that how long you exercise — and thus how many calories you burn — is more important Than how hard you exercise. Running is a more efficient form of exercise, but not necessarily better for you. A six-year study <http://atvb.ahajournals.org/content/early/2013/04/04/ATVBAHA.112.300878.abstract> published in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology in April found that walking at a moderate pace and running produced similar health benefits, so long as the same amount of energy was expended. Is drinking fruit juice as good for you as eating fruit? Short answer: No Calorie for calorie, whole fruit provides more nutritional benefits than drinking the pure juice of that fruit. That's because when you liquefy fruit, stripping away the peel and dumping the pulp, many ingredients like Fiber, calcium, vitamin C, and other antioxidants are lost. For comparison, a five-ounce glass of orange juice that contains 69 calories has .3 grams of dietary fiber and 16 milligrams of calcium, whereas an orange with the same number of calories packs 3.1 grams of fiber and 60 milligrams of calcium. Are all wheat breads better for you than white bread? Short answer: No Not all wheat breads are created equal. Wheat breads that contain all parts of the grain kernel, Including the nutrient-rich germ and fiber-dense bran, must be labeled "whole grain" or "whole wheat." Some wheat breads are just white bread with a little bit of caramel coloring to make the bread appear healthier, according to Reader's Digest. Can a hot tub make me sick? Short answer: Yes Hot tubs — especially ones in spas, hotels, and gyms — are perfect breeding grounds for germs. The water is not hot enough to kill bacteria, but is just the right temperature to make microbes grow even faster. Even though hot tubs are treated with chlorine, the heat causes the disinfectant to break down faster than it would in regular pools. The most common hot tub infection is pseudomonas folliculitis, which causes red, itchy bumps. A more dangerous side-effect of soaking in a dirty Jacuzzi is a form of pneumonia known as Legionnaire's disease. This is what reportedly sickened <http://abcnews.go.com/Health/legionnaires-outbreak-traced-back-playboy-mansion/story?id=12924405> more than 100 people at the Playboy Mansion back in 2011. Does coffee cause cancer? Short answer: No Coffee got a bad rap in the 1980s when a study linked drinking coffee to pancreatic cancer <http://www.nytimes.com/1981/03/12/us/study-links-coffee-use-to-pancreas-cancer.html> . The preliminary report was later debunked <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3063915/> . More recently, health studies have swung in favor of the caffeinated beverage. Coffee has been linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20008687> , Parkinson's disease <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17522612> , liver cancer, and even suicide. Do eggs raise cholesterol levels? Short answer: No Although egg yolks are a major source of cholesterol — a waxy substance that resembles fat — researchers have learned that saturated fat has more of an impact on cholesterol in your blood than eating foods that contain cholesterol. "Healthy individuals with normal blood cholesterol levels should now feel free to enjoy foods like eggs in their diet every day," the lead researcher from a 25-year University of Arizona study <http://cals.arizona.edu/impacts/2000/cholesterol.html> on cholesterol concluded. Can you drink too much water? Short answer: Yes It is very rare for someone to die from drinking too much water, but it can happen. Overhydrating is most common among elite athletes. Drinking an excess of water, called water intoxication, dilutes the concentration of sodium in the blood leading to a condition known as hyponatremia. The symptoms of hyponatremia can range from nausea and confusion to seizures and even death in severe cases. To avoid this, drink fluids with electrolytes during extreme exercise events. Can yogurt ease digestive problems? Short answer: Yes Our digestive tract is filled with microorganisms — some good and some bad. Yogurt contains beneficial bacteria <http://www.businessinsider.com/health-benefits-of-yogurt-2012-9> , generically called probiotics, that helps maintain a healthy balance. Probiotics can relieve several gastrointestinal problems, including constipation and diarrhea. Certain brands of yogurts, like Activa by Dannon <http://www.activia.us.com/> , are marketed exclusively to treat tummy issues. Do whitening toothpastes whiten teeth more than regular toothpastes? Short answer: No Whitening toothpastes usually contain peroxides and other strong abrasives that might make your teeth appear whiter by removing stains. Unlike at-home whitening strips and gels that contain bleach, these toothpastes do not actually change the color of your teeth. Is it safe to microwave food in plastic containers? Short answer: Yes But the plastic container should display the words "microwave safe." This means that the Food and Drug Administration has tested the container <http://www.health.harvard.edu/healthbeat/HEALTHbeat_081606.htm> to make sure no chemicals used to make the plastic leech into foods during microwaving. If chemicals do seep out into food, the amounts are tiny and not dangerous to our health. As a general guideline, plastic grocery bags as well as most plastic tubs that hold margarine, yogurt, cream cheese, and condiments are not microwave safe. Can watching TV ruin your eyesight? Short answer: No Watching TV will not destroy your rods and cones as the outdated myth suggests. Before the 1950s, TVs emitted radiation that could increase an individual's risk of eye problems <http://www.utsandiego.com/uniontrib/20050823/news_lz1c23fact.html> after excessive TV viewing. Modern TVs have special shielding that blocks these harmful emissions. Is red wine better for you than white wine? Short answer: Yes Red wine contains much more resveratrol than white wine, an antioxidant found in the skin of grapes that has been shown to fight off diseases associated with aging <http://www.businessinsider.com/health-benefits-of-resveratrol-in-red-wine-2013-3> . Is bottled water better for you than tap water? Short answer: No Bottled water is no safer or purer than tap water, although it is substantially more expensive. A recent study by Glasgow University in the U.K. found that bottled water is actually more likely to be contaminated than water from your faucet <http://www.businessinsider.com/bottled-water-is-more-dangerous-than-tap-water-2013-1> because it is less well-regulated. Bottled water and tap water typically come from the same sources — natural springs, lakes, and aquifers. While public water supplies are tested for contaminants every day, makers of bottled water are only required to test for specific contaminants every week, month,or year.
  9. Mysticism can never be lost, as long as we are blessed with Gurmukhs among us humans. It all depends on how much we really want to realize it, and how much we really want to be with Wahiguru only. But of course, always abiding by the Bani, not otherwise. Sat Sree Akal.
  10. GIVE LOVE TO EVERYONE IF WE LIMIT THE LOVE, BY GIVING IT TO ONE OR TWO, IT WILL EVENTUALLY GO STALE IF WE LEARN TO CREATE LOVE INSIDE OUR HEARTS AND SILENTLY WE GIVE IT, TO EVERYONE WE MEET, LOVE WILL GRACE, EVERY CORNER OF OUR LIVES
  11. I strongly agree with the translations forwarded by Satkirin jee. Saints at different times have tried to explain the relation between a soul and the Lord with different relationships. Christ , described that relation, just as a one between a son and his father; Sree Ramakrishna as the one of a son and mother, and among others including our Guru Sahibans, is the one of a wife and her husband. The strings which pull the both ends in all these relations, are absolute love and faith. That´s it. So let us not misunderstand the Bani. If a woman is attached to her husband physically, or the husband is attached to wife or any other worldy relations, it means, we are still in agyanta, because these relations create karmas, for which we shall have to come back one day to settle them, as a giver or a taker... It is only, when we love Wahiguru, just as woman may love her husband, without looking here or there and due to the pull of His Love, we are constantly absorbed in Him. So then naturally, what will happen? Our true unconditional love for Him, will take us to His Darbar. This is what the two gyanis above are trying to tell us in their interpretations. Worldly love, is an hindrance in our spiritual goal, divine love for Wahiguru, is the cause of our true freedom from the mayavee creation, and at same time, of our union or merging in Him. We sholud love and interact with the world, only to the extent of adjusting and paying off our past karmas. Just as a maid, goes to work, but she in her innermost knows, that she has her own true home, where she has her children, husband or parents, and there she has to go at end of the day. In a similar way, we are here because, from some we have to take, to others we have to give; all this, we must gladly perform our duties, as sons, daughters, spouses, etc....but knowing that, all this will be left behind one day, and the only Truth remaining in the end is Wahiguru Akal Purukh. So it is unto Him, whom we should give all our hearts, minds and souls, and in return we shall get unbound grace, mercy and love .... The Bani beauifully says: "Bhaee parapt manukh deh hureeya, Gobind milan kee yeh taeree bareeya" or "bahut janam vichuretey Madao, ehe janam tumareh lekhey" Bani hae Guru, Guru hae Bani. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Pen jee, please do not rush.Take your time with ease. Before you give us more meals(spiritual stuff) to eat, let us eat, savour, and digest the ones you have already given us ... You too need time to cook and serve these spiritual dishes...lol ... so please, eat with us, that very food served by your kind hospitality.... Thank you once again. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. Pen jee, hats off for such valuable information, irrespectively if one accepts it not, believes it or not.... It is the core of spirituality. Thank you
  14. Good and valid points made by Lucky Jee above. As the latiin saying goes: "mens sana in corpore sano" Which means, the body is healthy if the mind is healthy. Healthy mind, also means, a mind which is balanced, bright and pure. Because only when the mind is balanced and bright can one walk and do the right things, and with a pure mind, we can become spotless enough, to merge in Him. In the end, this love and devotion for Wahiguru is the key for our well being and true happiness. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. Continuing with the topic of this thread, I remember an article which I read it quite a long long time . Once, when swami Vivekananda went to the States to give some discourses, after the end one of those, a woman came to him attracted by his personality, and told him, that he being such a high being, that she wanted to marry him and get a child like him from him... Naturally, Vivekananda being a high evolved soul, told her that, there was no gurantee that getting a child from him would ceratinly be spiritually like him in anyway. But yes, there was another valid option left for her. He said, but if you make me your son, that your wish will be definetely fulfilled ... From this we can see, how these higher souls handle situations like these above, where an ordinary person can fall prey to lust, but they remain unattached at all times and places...because they are now attached to the divine power within, which purifies the mind to such an extent, that they are above all Maya and her servants (vaasnas, trishnaas...). Sat Sree Akal
  16. Brother it is true what you say. But see the sitaution as it is. The soul is imprisoned by the mind, and the soul behind the bars can not fight or defeat the mind, which is out of the jail and keeping his attention at all times on the soul, so that it may not do any such thing to escape from its clutches, which is quite impossible just like that. For that purpose, the soul is given a golden chance in human form to free itself for once and ever. The soul needs the help of a mighty friend. And that friend is such a marvelous being, that He has hidden Himself within each one of us, He is invisible even to the sight of that paapee mind. So that in times of our need of Him, the mind may not stop Him to come and rescue us. For that purpose, we need only to call Him. He is not far at all, as said before, He is right with us , within us. So what is that calling Him? It is nothing that hard or difficult, it is just repeating His sweet Naam. This is when the Bani says: Bah pakar kar Guru kadeeya. Rishis, munis, tapasvees, gods have fallen even after strenous efforts in thousands of years. But when we take shelter at His Lotus Feet through His Simran, He just comes and pulls us away, from this part of the perishable creation, to the realm of eternity and bliss, Sach Khand. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Before classifying women or men as kaamees, we should be aware that the bodies of both genders are insentient, as they are made out of the 5 perishable tatwas . There is a higher power, who does everything in those bodies, and that power is none other than the paapee"man" or mind. Kaam is one of the 5 vaasnas or vices of this mind, who uses them as his servants to fulfill the task given to him by the Univerasl mind, which is of keeping the soul entangled in this Mayavee Maha Bhavsagar, by incurring forcefully in karmas. This creation is made in such a way, that it is almost impossible to not commit any karmas, whether bad or good. Bad karmas are like irion chains around our necks, and good karmas are like golden chains around our necks also, we can not be free from them. So it is the mind in both the genders, who seeks pleasures and tries to satisfy them. The womanizer has the filthy mind in him, which makes him see women with lustful looks...not that the women are lustful, maybe she is at sometimes...but it is the mind in the womanizer, which makes him feel that hunger of lust, and makes him run to satisfy that hunger by any means. For example, a saint also has mind, but when he looks at a woman, as his mind is subdued and literally clean by the power of Naam, He sees the Jot of Wahiguru not only in women, but in all beings, so he looks with the glance of Daya and Meher, as these qualities are the very essence of Wahiguru, thus he having manifested Wahiguru within, his whole being radiates these virtues of Wahiguru. It is the mind, which is lustful, which is egoistic, which is greedy, which is envy, which is "krodhee" and full of moh. The mind is stained with all this filth. The Bani says: Nimakh nimakh kar sareer kataveh, tou bhee haume mael na jaaveh. On the contrary, the Bani fully instructs us, that the only infallible way of cleaning all this filth from our minds, is by making our minds drink the Amrit of Nam, through its simran. Wahiguru is all powerful, only He and the Gurmukhs are beyond the tentacles of maya, mind, and vikaars ... So in order to overcome all this negative effects of the mind on us, we have to do pargat Wahiguru within us by His grace. The Bani says: Har simran meh Prabh aap Nirankara. Doing His Simran is not a small thing, He has Himself hidden in it, so naturally when we meditate on Him, He unfolds Himself in us. This is the jugtee put into practice by all Saints and Gurmukhs of all times, it is safe, effective and universal, means anybody can profit by it, there are no copyrights on it, rather it is blessing upon us by Akal Purukh. Sat Sree Akal.
  18. Dear sangat jee, according to the the topic of this thread, that, if sikhee is a path for all people and times... we can refer to the Bani and see the beauty and Truth contained in it. First of all, sikhee is a spiritual path, it means, it is for the souls, the jeevas, and as such we can say it is universal. We can say, it is a love relation between the Shabad Guru and the Surat dhun chela, or soul, or call it sikh, seeker or disciple. Why is it a love realtion? Because, it is due to His inmense love for His jeevas, that He leaves His throne Sach Khand, and comes to rescue His wadbhagee jeevas from the Maha Bhavsagar by His Mauj, and getting in return most of the times, harrasment, hatred and abuses of all types from we, the so called human beings. Just as Wahiguru is the same since aad jugaad, so is the soul, neither Wahiguru has changed even to say a atom about Him, so neither has the soul changed. Different thing is, the soul has been wandering through countless joonees, countless yugas. The changes have always been, at physical, mental, emotional, astral or causal levels...but never ever at pure spiritual levels... Akal moorat, ajonee ... Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar DasMaharaj, in His pure paviter Bani in Raag Guaarayaree has said: Jug chaareh Naam Outham Sabadh Beechaar Throughout the four ages, the Naam is the ultimate; reflect upon the Word of the Shabad Let us reason a little bit, we see changes all around us, every single moment, every single second there are changes...why to go far, let us see our ownselves, how from a baby child we grow into adults, and then one day we pass away...all the universes, realms, khands, brahmands...abosolutely everything ...some gods are destituted others are put on .... creation is in constant motion. On the other side, there where Wahiguru is, there are absolutely no changes. So, if Wahiguru is one, naturally the path, leading to Him, has to be one. It can not be different for different religions, castes, colors or social status.... because the soul is always the same, it is changeless, just as Wahiguru. So naturally, why now, or 5.000 years alone back for example? Guru jee has clearly said, sikhee or the path of Shabad or Naam, is, for all times, no matter if the creation goes on and on in countless circles, of births and deaths, of parlays and mahaparlays..... But even then, the path of sikhee shall remain the same, no matter, how so much the ignorant and stupid man tries to manipulate according to his murakhta, the law, the way, the path established by Akal Purukh Himself, to return back to Him, shall remain the same throughout the eternity... Sat Sree Akal.
  19. Brother N30 Singh, indeed this is a very good topic, but for me personally, all of the Bani, is weet. It is like one´s child, whever you kiss him, you get that taste of his sweetness. In a simlar way, the Bani from the very begining, the middle, or the end, it is all sweetness, it is all beauty, it is all wisdom ..... I would like to have it all within me, even then, it would not be sufficient...such is the magnificence of the Bani. But if anything had to be said, I would quote this: Ik Oankar, Satnam, Satgur Parsad. There is only one Lord, He is Satnam and He is realized by His grace alone. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Yes absolutely, you should do more Waheguru abhyaas. This is direct connection with Wahiguru, and as such, it is the most effective jugtee to overcome mind, vikaars, trishnaas ... The Bani clearly say: Nimakh nimakh kar sareer kataveh, toh bhee haume mael na jaae... You see, all other methods are good to a point if we understand, that it is mahima sung of Wahiguru. While, His Simran, His Dhyan, is putting ourselves at His Lotus Feet, and telling Him: Sachay Patshah, I am weak, blind and full of vikaars, how can I ever possibly overcome and come nearer to You and have Your Darshan, please bless me with You glance of Grace and pull me out of this well of Maha Bhavsagar. His Simran, is being like a kookar laying at His door, and knocking constantly again and again...til a timecomes, when He the owner of His House, has ultimately no option but to open the door of His Darbar and let us in. But for that we have to be there, and that is only possible by His Simran, which is the devotion stressed by our Guru sahibans and bhagat janas throughout the Bani. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Value of having parents. At some instances, parents are taken in a higher position than god as god can give you pleasure or pain, but the parents have only the best wishes for their children. P.S: We all know, nobody is higher than God. But it is way of telling, that parents should be loved and respected by their children. A child may misbehave and abuse his/her parents, but the parents´ heart is so tender and full of love for their childern, that they hold no animosity towards their very own children,as for them, their children are precious and priceless gifts from the Lord. Sat Sree Akal.
  22. Gentleness Real gentleness in a person is a great power. The power that sees, understands, but never interferes. Like the branch of a tree, just touching the earth but never taking root in it. Never to take root in someone´s mind, but to help... That is gentleness....
  23. HOSPITAL : Maternity ward Hospital me,nurse: mubarak ho, aapke ghar me beta paida hua hae Santa: Wahe guru, kya technology hae... Biwi yaha hospital me, aur beta ghar me paida hua hae....
  24. A conversation between a disciple and his spiritual master on self realization.... D: What is my role as per my efforts in acheiving spiritual realization? M: that much same as in a Sun rise D: what for then are the spiritual excersises instructed(Bhakti) by you to be done? M: So that you are awake when the Sun arises Sat Sree Akal.
