Just as when going  on the highway, there are speed signals which are to be followed, but that does not mean, if the car can run 220 kms per hour, you can do so.
Or just as there where is fire,  though you are free to put your hands or not, but for sure you will never put your hands in it, isn´t it?
Or when there is an exam paper,  as per your logic, why should one even go to the examination, why not sit at home ..... You see, it is by passing the tests of respecting nature, we evolve spiritual wise and grow to an extent of purity that we merge in our origin Waheguru Akal Purukh
So If god has given us the ability to discern between doing good or wrong, it means we have to be matured enough to avoid not doing the wrong.
In our case, we are given the opportunity to grow from our state of duality in the mayavee creation, and  leaving it far behind for once and ever,  and enter in the realm of the changeless and eternal Truth of Satnam and merge in that our Origin, with His kirpa.
To be receptive to that His kirpa, is all what Sikhee/Gurbani  is about.

Sorry, one is  not given the ability to do sinful things, rather we have choice to do things right or wrong.
For example a traffic signal on the road is in red color, then too instead of waiting until it changes to green and one moves forward, one will surely meet an acident and get hurt badly.
So you see, God has not created anything bad, it is we who make the wrong choices, and as always blame Him.
People know that drinking alcohol, smoking or into drugs is bad, yet, they engage in them and harm their health, then, who is to be blamed?
    Of course, not god.
We were sent into the creation to grow and mature, like when a child is sent to school or the university, but we have messed up and ended doing all sort of nonsense,  thus fail.
School,  teachers, life  are not bad, they are there for our growth and betterment, but, if we do not pay attention to the TEACHINGS and work accordingly, then naturally we shall fail and remain donkeys.

One thing is evident from the mentality of the followers of this path, it is that while the world moves forward in almost all fields; these people due to their beilefs are stepping backwards like in the stone age.
I do not say all modern things are good, but we have to move forward in education, science and technology.
And above all, respect all human beings, otherwise slowly and slowly they are going to isolate themselves from the reality, which is quite sad.
The main things in which they are quite back, is education, science, technology, human rights,  and even religiously.
For all the bad things they do in the name of their Divinity, it is not that he has told them to do, but,  by the poison spreaded of a mentally unbalanced person.
There is no limit to all the grooming, stealing, drug trafficking, raping, destryoing historical monuments, terrorism, invading, converting, infusing hatred in their community towards other people, etc ... It is a disgrace.
They are not aware of that all the evil deeds they do in the name of their Divinity, are not accepted  by it, and after leaving this world they will have to pay heavily for all those deeds, for inflicting pain on others.

In yet another shocking incident, a recently discovered Buddha statue was smashed into pieces by local construction workers and a Muslim cleric on Saturday in Pakistan. The relic was discovered while digging the foundation for a house in the Pashtun-dominated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Mardan district in Pakistan.
A video of the act, which has since gone viral on social media, showed the construction workers, along with a Muslim cleric, smashing the Buddha statue using a sledgehammer. They are seen walking over and destroying the life-sized Buddha status while expressing their acrimony against Buddhism, which they consider anti-Islam.
According to reports, the statue was destroyed on the order of a local Muslim cleric, who ruled that it is against Islam. ‘Your nikah would cease to exist and you will no more be a believer if the statue isn’t disposed of’, the cleric told the people at the site, who then followed his orders to destroy the priceless relic, which was accidentally discovered in a good condition.
Local media quoted Abdul Samad, director of the archaeology and museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as saying that he authorities have located the area, where the incident occurred and those involved in vandalism would be held accountable. “We have located the area and we will have those involved arrested soon,” he said.
Four people have been arrested in connection with the case. Initially the police were slow to react to the incident. But when the video emerged on social media and a large number of people criticised the action, the police swung into action and made the arrests.
Takht Bhai was once the homeland for Buddhism
The area from where the relic was discovered is known as the Takht Bhai area, in Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Takht Bhai is a part of the Gandhara civilisation, where Buddhism thrived until the 8th or 9th centuries when Islam first began to gain sway in the region. Since 1836, when it was first excavated, archaeologists have dug out hundreds of relics made of clay, stucco, and terracotta in the area. Due to its historical and religious significance, it is a popular destination for Buddhist tourists from Sri Lanka, Japan, Korea etc. The Buddhist monastery is included in the World Heritage List.
    Similar incident in Pakistan
Last month, in a similar incident, the ancient Buddhist rock carvings in the Chilas area of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK)’s Gilgit-Baltistan has been desecrated by Islamists, who painted Pakistani flag and slogans on the rock-cut art.
According to the reports, the incident came to light when the locals of Gilgit-Baltistan posted images on social media platforms. The Islamists had vandalised the rock carvings by writing Islamic slogans on the rock-art that belonged to 800 AD.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think these bastards are protective about their women, yet bring barbadee to the rest of the females.
Their whole culture, beleifs, revolve around sex.
To the extent of the deep rooted ignorance, that suppose if they die killing kafirs, they think they will be rewarded by an X number of virgins.  What  about if it is female who does so, will she get men over there? Then she will be labeled as a prostiute, or if she get X amount of women, will she labeled as a lesbian?
    Just sickening!
All their culture turns around sex, slavery, cheating, murders, double standards, terrorism, etc...
Yet they want to convert others in spite of having nothing good.
Just tell me if they believe their conceptual god is true, why does he not go and kill the other imaginery gods of other religions?
    Is he such a coward?
What sense does it make to create other people, then tell a certain number of fools to go and kill them?
No limits to that absolute stupidity, nonsense, madness.
Allah as mentioned in the Bani, that creative power and supraconsciousness, has nothing to do with all the filth and stupidity that has been infused in all these insane people.
Allah or Khudha is one thing, and all the nonsense done under deep rooted ignorance is another thing which is totally wrong.
Had I been a muslim, I would have long ago asked myself all the questions above and in consequence leave and come out immediately from that state of constant madness/ insanity.
The base of any true religion is love, mercy, forgiveness towards all beings irrespective of color, caste or creed; for all carry within them the light of that creative power, Ultimate Truth, known as God, Waheguru, Akal Purukh, Allah, Khudha, Gobind, Gopal, Har....
Names in different religions and languages of that Supreme level of Consciousness do not and can not change its essence of divinity.
It is we foolish and blind who make distinctions and segregations, then only all hatred and nonsense starts.
Had anyone gone within and seen that Jot, would have said that, there is only one Creative Power, like one Sun in the sky illuminating each and every country, city and village with the same quality and quantity.
This is what the Bani tells.
Their is no comparison with anything else, though all are very much respectable, for the Bani makes us good human beings, then with that goodness we move towards our Source to become one with it without distinction.
That's it. That is the wadeeayee of Gurmat.
Time to move forward and start being human beings.

Grooming gang review kept secret as Home Office claims releasing findings ‘not in public interest’

Exclusive: Freedom of Information request refused so ministers have ‘safe space’ to discuss policy

The government is refusing to release official research on the characteristics of grooming gangs, claiming it is not in the “public interest”.
Survivors accused ministers of making “empty promises”, while a man who prosecuted abusers in Rochdale called for the Home Office to “show some courage and publish” its findings.
It comes after The Independent revealed that almost 19,000 suspected child sexual exploitation victims were identified by local authorities in just one year, sparking renewed calls for prevention efforts.
Sajid Javid promised the review as home secretary in July 2018, pledging that there would be “no no-go areas of inquiry”.
“I will not let cultural or political sensitivities get in the way of understanding the problem and doing something about it,” he said at the time.
“We know that in these recent high profile cases, where people convicted have been disproportionately from a Pakistani background.
“I’ve instructed my officials to explore the particular contexts and characteristics of these types of gangs.”
But the government has made no further announcements on the review following Mr Javid’s move to the Treasury last year. It has, however, said it will soon publish a national strategy that will set out a “whole system response to all forms of child sexual abuse”.

In December, The Independent was told that the work had been completed but would only be used for internal policy-making and would not be publicly released.
In response to a freedom of information (FOI) request asking for the research carried out and any reports drawn up as a result, the Home Office confirmed it held the information but would not release it.
In a letter to The Independent, officials said they had applied a “public interest test” but the information was exempt from the act because it concerned the development of government policy.
“One of the main purposes of the exemption is to protect the ‘safe space’ necessary for ministers and officials to consider policy options in private without risk of premature disclosure,” it added.
“Disclosure would risk pre-empting decisions still to be made by ministers. In addition, the information could be misleading if made public and used out of context.”
The Home Office’s FOI unit said the documents also included “operationally sensitive” information from police and could prejudice ongoing investigations.
The letter added: “We recognise that this topic in general and any insight and learning are matters of strong public interest, although it does not necessarily follow that it is in the public interest to disclose any specific information relating to it.”
Sammy Woodhouse, a Rotherham victim who helped expose the scandal, told The Independent she believed the research was going to be made public.
“I always got the impression they were going to do a full report and get something official,” she said.
“A lot of people were backing it, it’s ridiculous they’re not releasing it.
“We keep hearing ‘we’re going to do this and that’, and when it actually comes to it there’s nothing. It’s empty promises all the time.”
Another woman, who was also sexually abused by a grooming gang in Rotherham and wanted to remain anonymous, said she was “disappointed and frustrated” by the decision not to release the report.
“The government’s repeated failure to acknowledge the role of racism and religious bigotry in grooming gang crime has led to inadequate investigation, protection and prosecution,” she said.
“Prevention of future grooming gang crime can only come through counter-narrative sex and relationships education.”
The woman is campaigning for changes to hate crime guidance and the creation of a parliamentary committee to examine gender-based violence linked to faith and belief.

Huddersfield grooming gang ‘used and abused young girls for sex’ A former chief prosecutor who initiated charges against a grooming gang in Rochdale warned that far-right groups were using a “vacuum” of reliable information to spread their beliefs and gain support.
Nazir Afzal said he had been calling for formal research on potential links between ethnicity and street-based abuse since 2012.
“The misinformation and anecdote are exploited by white supremacists and others with an agenda,” he added.
“The sooner we have evidence, the sooner we can truly confront it. The Home Office should show some courage and publish.”
Mr Javid’s original pledge was in response to a letter from a cross-party group of politicians who called for the Home Office to undertake research into common patterns of behaviour and drivers of grooming gangs.
Sarah Champion, the Labour MP for Rotherham, was among the signatories and voiced hope at the time that the review would prevent abuse and protect children.
The Home Office has said it will soon publish a national strategy that will set out a “whole system response to all forms of child sexual abuse”.
A spokesperson for the government department said: “Child sexual abuse is a sickening crime and predators who abuse children will face the full force of the law.
“We’re pursuing work on a number of fronts to understand the characteristics of group-based offending and the contexts in which it occurs. This includes ongoing work commissioned by the previous home secretary and will inform future government policies on child sexual abuse.
“New sentencing laws will also ensure the most serious violent and sexual offenders spend time in prison that matches the severity of their crimes, protecting victims and giving the public confidence in the criminal justice system.”

Establishment goray are as bad as the pedostani...sorry pakistani grooming gangs.  I think the pak gangs supply girls to the goray myself, that's why the police and government protect them.

Great useful tips by all the members posters above.
And sharing my 2 cents on this topic, I would say the start to fight lust has to do with awareness.
Then also though all methods are to keep lust at some distant line, the reality is, only when we give the mind a better and higher taste, (for the mind is a constant runner after pleasures and tastes), like engaging in His bhakti and tasting the Amrit of Nam within, then only will it stop hankering after  kaamee desires and its fulfillment....
His holy Name, will not only remove the kaam from its roots, but as well free us from all other vikars.
His Name, is the not only antidote for all our maladies, but also  the only link also which truly reunites us with  Him, the most immaculate and purest,  Waheguru Akal Purukh.

Conceptualize everything in terms of "energy". Even mental energy that you use for thoughts.
If you are using too much thought energy towards lust, then you need to started redirecting that same energy towards other better thoughts.
BTW, it is not really correct to assume that only "high avastha person has conquered lust",,, because out ofall the 5 dhuts. Lust is the one that takes so many hidden form in your own energies. This 'lower down energy'(below navel) is the  ONLY one that can be transformed into a substantial amount of divine energy,...this is what shall help to go towards Higher avastha.   Higher avastha doesn't come first and then kaam vanishes, kaam has to be stamped on in order to get to higher avastha.  It's important to understand this, especially about conserving this energy.
Kaam is a huge hindrance for any spiritual progress.  I disagree that you should distract yourself or avoid situations such as avoiding places where opposite sex may be or using cop-out excuses to avoid temptation. Because you are just SUPPRESSING the same energy, which usually ends up manifesting into frustration, anxiety, anger, disease or any other negative trait. Instead, when it occurs, like say a physical arising or itch down below, then you should DIVERT your THOUGHTS towards Akaal. You should try and pump navel, do saas saas and make/feel the energy rise upwards towards your hirda.  You should embrace this human instinct/behavior by NOT letting maya control your thoughts, but taking charge yourself and directing them towards physical. it's as if the universe just lumps a ton of energy on you with you making any effort. Pick up and use this load of energy wisely.

I remember talking to people like @Lucky and @Sat1176 about this issue a few years ago. I am happy to say that with waheguru's kirpa this issue has been long gone.

You need to ask yourself what is more important in life? A few minutes of pleasure vs becoming the most badass dude in all of your social groups.

There are two main areas of benefit if you give up this habit - I can expand on whichever point appeals to you the most.

***These are not googled benefits, these are benefits that I have experienced in my life - I am sure everyone will experience these if they stay away from indulging in kaam***

    1) The benefits in tregun - the physical aspects of your life
More energy Better mood More masculine energy, testosterone, etc Which also has manifest as more physical and emotional strength And I believe this has also created a more carefree personality - somewhat like James Bond (very calm, cool and collected) More dominance in social interactions - with men and women Talking less and communicating more with your body language is a very masculine trait - conserving sexual energy has lead to this trait developing on its own. I've noticed that you can communicate with your eyes better than you can with words.  Even when you see a good looking girl it does not affect you after some point - this takes a lot of masculinity - your standards in women go up - you look further than looks - you look to see what can be offered beyond the physcial appearance - Just by observation I've realized the female mind is very pulled in by someone who has this trait/mindset - Girls are very pushed away by guys who give the "desperate vibe" aka the one's who are constantly filled with desires and cannot control their eyes. It feels as if an energy has been created that just pulls in both men and women. You will dominate the entire social world. Everyone will want to be your friend.  Deeper voice  More assertiveness  More ambition Better facial appearance  Fat drops quickly and muscle is gained quickly Better sleep Which also has lead to waking up becomming easier Massive levels of motivation Confidence in every aspect of life becomes booming  Self control  Improved mental performance  Tendency to eat healthier  I could probably go on but you get the point - *** You will become a super hero - every aspect of your life will improve - You will become the manliest of men*** 2) The benefits in the nirgun (formless aspects of your life)
NO WORDS - Words will never do justice (but I can give it a shot) Sometimes you will just be sitting somewhere (maybe doing school work or just hanging out with people) and you'll feel as if you're just drifting into an infite pool of bliss Thoughts will decrease and be almost non existent somedays That's the most I want to say - the rest needs to be experienced - again... words will never do justice
So my advice is to constanly ask yourself what is more important in life. You can either become a superhero or you can continue to mentally/physically exhaust all of your power by being aroused by pixels on a screen.
And just an FYI - Don't use age or not being married as an excuse - I am 20 years old - Controlling kaam is possible for everyone

    The below might help too.
Avoid caffeinated drinks as much as possible. Caffeine affects sleeping patterns, which gives Lust an opportunity to attack. When a person is fully awake, then it is much easier to fight with Lust (and other vikars), as compared to when he is in a semi-awake condition (NREM sleeping stage). Maintain healthy eating habits, so that you avoid having any episodes of diarrhea or constipation. Lust can possibly attack the mind in these conditions too.

Enormous amounts of energy and very little sleep. Other's start worriyng thinking that you have insomnia. Quite often I have sat in simran for several hours from early amrit-vela at 2.00 /2.30 am until about 7.30 am when kids are getting up.
Not explainable really. But you do realize the amount of spiritual energy that gets drained unknowingly by the ways in which most people live and spend their days, especially when they think they are doing things to relax.
YES! this is when you can connect to the naam/shabad 24/7.   Hammering and ignoring the 5 dhuts gives you control over maya. All of our maya ties and problems start off in the thought processes of Duality. It's either this or that..  When you have no thoughts and just focus on the EK, the dhoots start to back off a little.

Good on you boy for kicking kaam in the face!  I'm sure that your gonna reach even greater heights.  There's  a lot of confusion and misunderstanding about kaam and people think that it is necessary to procreate. It's not!
