Bro, so this tradition wasn't present during earlier times (first master, second master, etc)? Most likely, eating food prepared by a Nigura (equivalent of a non-Amritdhari) was banned by earlier Satgurus too. Bhul chuk maaf

Aviii jee, hope the below helps. 1. In ideal situation, an Amritdhari must only eat food prepared by an Amritdhari, but you should not be worried about that too much, if you are just a beginner in spirituality. Focus more on Naam Simran, Nitnaym, applying virtues in life, seva, avoiding sins, etc. Most likely, many Amritdharis eat from restaurants, including Hajuriye Singhs. Once you move higher in spirituality, you might reach a stage where you will start disliking food prepared by non-Sikhs at all. If you keep moving higher, you might reach a stage (Brahamgyan), where all types of food will taste like Amrit. Just self-analyze and see what works best for you. For example, if you feel a noticeable difference in your concentration while doing simran or you are having bad thoughts, by eating from outside, then definitely don't eat from there. That means your body is being sensitive to it. Also, you have to remember that food can be used as a medium to cast a spell on you. Therefore, try your best to eat at home or Gurudwaras. To be on the safe side, always do mool mantar da jaap before eating food, not prepared at home or a Gurudwara. You can do the jaap for home food too. 2. Please read the following excerpt: Quote If a married person takes Amrit by themselves and their spouse is not Amritdharee, then he/she can not have a physical relationship with them unless they too become Amritdharee. Just as a clean dish coming into contact with an unclean one also becomes dirty, the same is true for a married couple (where only one spouse is Amritdharee). A husband and wife should take Amrit together in order for them to maintain their Rehat. A married person does not have permission to take Amrit without their spouse, but if they insist upon taking Amrit they must abide by the above conditions. Unquote[1] [1] - Gurmat Rehat Maryada 3. You can share food, but don't eat jhoota of another person (including an Amritdhari) for hygienic and other purposes. One can share food with others, without eating jhoota of anyone. Bhul chuk maaf

You are right bro. Bhangra has nothing to do with Sikhism. It is one of the dances of Punjab, India/Pakistan. Bhul chuk maaf -
Advice for a non Sikh @ a Sikh marriage

Bro, you don't have to bow (it's optional), but remember that for Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib is the living incarnation of God. If you bow, you will be the beneficiary. Bhul chuk maaf -
What Should I Do To Improve My Punjabi? (Speaking)

Vinny Singh jee - It is better if you listen to Katha and read religious books to improve your Punjabi, rather than movies or newspapers. Rest is your choice. Bhul chuk maaf -
Why eggs not allowed in Sikh dharam? confused?
paapiman replied to SAadmin's topic in General Discussion
You should be ashamed of yourself of attacking our Satgurus on a Sikh forum. If Satguru jee knew that cow milk was only meant for baby cows and not meant for human consumption, why would he allow it in langar? Did he make a mistake? You think, you are above God? Insulting Gurbani, Sikh ethic and now Sikh gurus on a Sikh forum. Utter shame on you. Bhul chuk maaf -
Why eggs not allowed in Sikh dharam? confused?

The above is talking about good conduct and modesty, not about the foods, which are forbidden. This tuk clearly rejects meat eating: ਕਬੀਰ ਭਾਂਗ ਮਾਛੁਲੀ ਸੁਰਾ ਪਾਨਿ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਖਾਂਹਿ ॥ Kabeer, those mortals who consume marijuana, fish and wine ਤੀਰਥ ਬਰਤ ਨੇਮ ਕੀਏ ਤੇ ਸਭੈ ਰਸਾਤਲਿ ਜਾਂਹਿ ॥੨੩੩॥ - no matter what pilgrimages, fasts and rituals they follow, they will all go to hell. ||233|| ਭਾਂਗ - means marijuana, chicken meat, etc. ਮਾਛੁਲੀ - means fish meat, etc. ਸੁਰਾ - means alcohol, etc. ਪਾਨਿ - means to drink, Supari (Areca nut), tobacco leaves, etc. Bhul chuk maaf -

Gurbani is against hypocrisy, but Gurbani also clearly rejects eating meat. If you want, keep eating meat and eggs (menstrual waste), it's your wish. Bhul chuk maaf -

What about the other foods which you eat? Are you 100% sure that there is no forced labor/slave labor involved in it? Do you want us investigate our food every time? What about the other products which we use? Soaps, jackets, clothes, shampoos, belts, quilts? Do you want us to investigate all those too? So what should we do? Stop eating dairy products and not stay healthy? It is also possible that other foods too have moral issues. Should we starve to death? Bhul chuk maaf -

Someone else has brought in the argument of mistreatment of animals in this topic, not me. Also, to say that milk is not meant for human consumption is anti-Gurmat. Bhul chuk maaf -

So stop drinking milk now? What about the Gursikhs, of high spiritual states in today's times - Do they drink milk or not? Has any saint issued any Hukam, to not drink milk? Bhul chuk maaf -
Why eggs not allowed in Sikh dharam? confused?
paapiman replied to SAadmin's topic in General Discussion
The above statements are against Sikhism. Most likely, even our Satgurus drank milk. This person is trying to prove (indirectly) that Vedas, Gurbani and our Satgurus are wrong. Bhul chuk maaf -

Ultimate source for Sikhs is Gurbani and Gurbani clearly allows us to consume dairy products. Even, dairy products were used in Langar during the times of Satguru jee. Most likely, all Sikhs saints consume dairy products too. If we start going into minute details of such topics, it can result in confusion. It is very difficult to achieve 100% hygienic conditions for ordinary household people. Does that mean we should stop taking showers, washing hands, etc. Bhul chuk maaf -
Why eggs not allowed in Sikh dharam? confused?
paapiman replied to SAadmin's topic in General Discussion
Comparing eggs (menstrual waste) to milk (amazing drink) is imprudent. Cow has been given the status of motherhood in Vedas. The milk produced, is meant for humans. Gurbani clearly states that we can consume dairy products. ਦਾਲਿ ਸੀਧਾ ਮਾਗਉ ਘੀਉ ॥ Lentils, flour and ghee - these things, I beg of You. Ghee (butter oil) is made from milk. Even, the amount of milk produced by cows and buffaloes is a clear indication that it is not just meant for the calves. Other animals don't produce that much milk. Female menstrual waste is used in magic. Please have a look below: http://spellshelp.com/articles/magic/genitals-in-magic/ This might be one of the reasons for Saints to prohibit the consumption of eggs, which is also related to menstruation. Gurparsaad, Daas will try to ask a scholar about it and provide more details. There is not even a single tuk in Gurbani, which clearly approves eating of eggs. If one want to eat eggs, it is their wish, but it is a big sin to justify it using Gurmat. Personal human weaknesses must never be justified using Gurmat. One must admit his/her faults and wrongdoings. Bhul chuk maaf -

Evidence to prove that only meat slaughtered (ritualistically) by the Sikh way, can be consumed by a Sikh. Quote ‘Don’t shame us by wondering in shops, restaurants, market places etc eating meat, refrain from doing this! Perform Jhatka with your own hands and go hunting for prey. Only then are we permitted to eat meat’ (Nihang Jathedar Baba Santa Singh, Pracchin Panth Parkash Steek. Please refer to this text in the list further below). Bro, you have to take the populations into account too. Give me an example of 40 or so Hindu Marathas or Hindu Rajputs, fighting against a million men. Bhul chuk maaf -
That's right bro. Cow protection - one of the commandments of Satguru jee. Namaskar Sri Kharag koo Akaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal Bhul chuk maaf
