  1. There is a point of the question because the main key differentiation between the Sikh Sampardas is the expertise they have in a particular field. If you claim to be a Nirmala, then as part of your path and lifestyle you would have knowledge in Vedant, History, Scriptures more than the normal Sikh. In the same way, a Nihangs lifestyle is based upon Jang Yudh, his maryada and rehni behni is such that reflects the preparations for the battlefield. But above this, their devotion to the Satguru, to Gurbani, to Seva, to Kirat Karni, Naam Japna, and respect for Kirtan Traditions are all the same. As you call the Akali Nihangs a Fauj, you yourself have established that they are an army, and what is an army without knowledge of Jang Yudh? So my point to asking would be, as a Nihang youself, how much training have you done in Shastarvidiya that qualifies you to be a Nihang? As youve asked me, ive been learning for the past 6 yrs, week in week out. As you are trying to uphold the Maryada of Nihang Singhs, it is important for you to establish how close you are to living that ideal.
  2. Mr Landa, how much Shastarvidiya have you trained in?
  3. The prices are reasonable for the quality and condition of the weapons he sells, if someone wants antiques at cheap prices they will get pitted tat of low quality, if someone wants good quality antiques with little or no damage and no pitting, gold, ivory and wootz, they will have to pay for them. If you want a showpeice, then go to the people making the modern day knockoffs, which are unbalanced, overweight and incorrectly manufactured.
  4. Lets settle this over a game of Modern Warfare 2 Bring live match!!
  5. I dont have my rotia chopriya, and dont really like my daal sabzi made with butter thurka. We normally use olive oil in the house for cooking, however the ghar wali sometimes loves to throw a massive tikki of butter into the food. The main thing is as the above poster said, do your mehntha and excercises and the butter will be beneficial rather than detrimental. If you spend your time sitting around and eating with little or no excercise you will naturally get clogged arteries, high cholesterol and fat. If you have a good regime of excercise (dand behtaks are the best) then you have nothing to worry about. Old school desi wrestlers used to drink vats of sakkar ghee (sugar with butter) and then do their training.
  6. Ive been watching these topics on Sri Dasam Darbar for a few months now but couldnt be bothered to get involved cos I know how these arguements over the internet go. Months later, "Khalsa" Fauj is still ranting about this live talk which he has such a fetish over. It should be apparent by now that regardless of what has been said to and fro, no one has changed their stance on what they believe. Neither the anti dasam brigade will change their mind, and nor will the shardaloo of the Gurus Writings. So where is this going? No where! Why waste your time, "Khalsa" Fauj can carry on his crusade against Sri Dasam Darbar because it gives him a place in life and lets him sleep at night knowing that he is fighting a cause. The rest, if you believe in Dasam Granth, then read it and understand it. Creating morchas about your beliefs is useless against idiots who have no plan to change their mind. "Khalsa" may ask why im putting his name in quotes, because you can claim to be a Khalsa, which can be either the spiritual Khalsa who has overcome the 5 vices and attained sehaj, or you can be the military Khalsa who have taken Khandeh Di Pahul and are tyar bar tyar Soormas. You are neither. The way you address people over the net and the way you talk, your actions are far from a person who has attained sehaj and ecupoise. In terms of military Khalsa, your definitly not that either. Even if you claim to have taken Khandeh Di Pahul, who gave you this without reciting Jaap Sahib, Swaiye, Chaupai Sahib (CP), and Ardas (Chandi Di Var)? If someone did give you Khandeh Da Amrit without reciting the Dasam Bania, then your Amrit is invalid. If someone did give you Khandeh Di Amrit with 5 Bania recited and Ardas, and deep down you dont accept these Bania you are the biggest moorakh around. Anyone who has any knowledge in historical texts will know the bania that were recited by the Guru to make Khande Da Amrit, but its these same Bania which you do not accept, and texts are littered with sakhia of the old babeh and the Dasam Bania they would read, but you still disregard them because YOU and YOUR MIND is not comfortable with things written, is there any thing else which is more Behmukh then this? Your crusade against Dasam Granth could be more successful if you knew how to talk and get your point accross, instead you come accross as a insolent child who keeps moaning about the same thing, someone who no one will ever take seriously. Thats my rant over Fateh
  7. A question to the anti dasam granth brigade, If it could be established without a shadow of a doubt that Sri Dasam Granth was the 100% rachna of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, would you accept it? Including the Pakhyan Chritrar. If not, then these debates are pointless and you guys are not interested in finding the truth out, rather your own mindsets prevent you from truely seeking the truth and you wish to spread conjecture in order to make people follow your view. If you would accept it, what is the current evidence you have regarding the compiling of Sri Dasam Granth [in terms of historical fact and dates] and what is the earliest Dasam Granth you have come accross? Your main arguement is that "Guru Gobind Singh couldnt have written this", since when did your own minds become the touchstone of truth for your own Guru, are you higher then your own Guru? People of the Gurus times called the Guru a madman when he demanded heads in 1699, people from the times of Guru Hargobind Sahibs times questioned the taking up of arms and hunting, and now in our time we have people casting doubt upon the accepted writings of the tenth nanak. If your own minds feel ashamed or are aroused by reading Charitrars, then that must be a furna caused by your own vikars. If you question the worshipping of weapons, then you obviously have no idea how much obedience a warrior would require when he learns the art of war. How can a soldier use a sword when he does not care for it, clean it, sharpen it, and namaskar it ontop of his own physical training. That sword which protects your life and your dharam in battle is worthy of worship.
  8. Gone are the days of true khoj and study, years down the line people will refference conversations done over MSN as the touchstones of truth.
  9. Dalsingh, in the same way we will be able to disregard every single part of our history like how Kala Afghanas are doing, judging history and bani according to their own matt.
  10. Which is right? The written accounts of people who lived with and talked to people who went through these episodes, or the modern day version of History which was chopped and changed to suit peoples "beliefs"?
  11. You can use the TRS haldi, East End is better It wont stain your teeth
  12. If you sip it you will taste it more, drink it all in one go.
  13. Haldi works against inflammation of joints [knee pain more commonly] and for internal bruising, muscle pain etc. Put 1-2 teaspoons of haldi into a cup and pour warm mik over it and stir. Add sugar if you wish but you can drink it without as long as the haldi is properly mixed in. Haldi also has an anticeptic property and is used for cuts, packing in dry haldi to a wound congeals the blood and stops the bleeding and also prevents infection. Singhs would also mix haldi and oil to make a paste ball, similar to how you have on wedding maiya and use that to apply on cuts and wounds. This is easier to carry on the battlefield and is ready to apply if/when needed. Here is a website dedicated to Haldi and its uses http://www.turmeric.co.in/turmeric_ayurvedic_use.htm
  14. The Brahma Kavich Dohra was added to the Budha Dal Gutkas by Uday Singh, secretary of Budha Dal and nephew of Baba Santa Singh, This Dohra is not from the original Brahma Kavich, it appears in the Panth Parkash second edition by Gyani Gyan Singh. Does anyone have access to a Budha Dal Gutka Sahib published prior to 1998 to confirm that Brahma Kavich was not included in the Gutkas prior to then as it is known to be a bani which is passed through oral tradition.
  15. The Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib Das Granthi does not contain the Dohra nor the "Eh Bola Hargobind Ka Suno Khalsa Bir, Fateh Paavo Maidaan Meh Pakar Haath Shamshir", and it refers to Brahm Kavich as "Ath Bhagauthi Brahm Kavich"
  16. I have Baba Santa Singh on tape talking about it. If you go through Panth Parkash of Baba Santa Singh, there is also a portion which describes the Havan carried out by Banda Bahadur in an attempt to evoke the Goddess Kalika.
  17. Ill try to translate the quote your having a problem with. Correct me where I got it wrong and could someone clarify the last but one line.
  18. A few weeks ago he was a student of Baba Gyana Singh "Rabb Ji" and a Gurbhai of Baba Katapa Singh, and also there was 25 singhs which Baba Gian Singh who he had passed the vidiya onto. According to Kamalroops blog, he has now learnt from Baba Gurbachan Singh Khalsa Bhindrawale, and has now taught the vidiya onto 17 people. Did the other 8 Singhs go gupt? Did Baba Gyan Singh learn from a number of teachers? Or have the people who have made up these stories around Baba Gian Singh forgot what they said a few weeks ago? Make your minds up.
  19. Dalsingh, the term is Sundeh, which means an ox, a portion which is missed out of Bhai Vir Singhs Panth Parkash and the Panth Parkash of Baba Santa Singh is the Havan which the khalsa did prior to the battle with Ahmed Shah Abdali. Baba Santa Singh accepted that this did happen, however for some reason it isnt included within their steek.
  20. You obviously have a link with Navjeet Singh so provide the names so these Singhs can be traced down and asked how much they know of the Vidiya. You seem to have knowledge that Niddar Singh didnt meet Baba Katapa Singh, but amazingly you have no knowledge of not even 1 of the 25 Singhs. If Baba Gian Singh was a student of Niddar Singhs Gurdev, why wouldnt he wish to meet his own teachers student? The great thing about the vidiya is that no one can bullsh*t their way through it, you either stand up and fight or you get knocked out. If these Singhs learnt from Baba Katapa Singh, then they will have the Khat Ang penthreh at least right? If they dont you and your friends are obviously propogating lies. You cannot have it both ways and say that they learnt from the same teacher as Niddar Singh, but their vidiya is different, the terminology is different, the techniques are different. Your statement that Niddar Singh is a rouge who broke away from his Gurdevs maryada and ideology after learning the vidiya holds little water, no vidharthi who learns would disrespect their own Gurdev, not after spending years with them carrying out arduous training and seva. Like I mentioned in a previous post, if other singhs have attained the vidiya, that is a great bakshish from the Guru and every attempt should be made to learn from Baba Gian Singh if he has the vidiya. I will make an effort to track down Baba Gian Singh and video tape his knowledge on the Vidiya.
  21. Im not knowledgeable much on the development of Raag within the Panth, but were the Sikh Gurus not the first to introduce Partaal?
  22. Please show scriptual evidence that in traditional indic philosophy that worship of a sargun form of god is promoted as the highest form of worship.
