    Bro,
the smoking , drugs, whisky or any intoxicants, which creates addictionss are bad for sikhs as well as all others.
Bhangra, is style of music, though I am a sikh, but I do not keep dancing in this style  all the time. Just as we have rock and roll,  or hard rock music, hip hop, reggae, sou,l or be it any other music, all of them have associated a type of dance with them, so is with the punjabi Bhangra music, just as also in the bollywood films, they take 2 steps forward and one back whil dancing...lol.
Bhangra is a folk dance, just as drummers and other musicians or singers are involved in this music, but that does not mean all of us are playing drums, or playing music.....etc.
Or as many believe that listening reggae music you have to take ganjaas or hash, weeds, marihuana... that is ridiculous. For if the singer takes narcotics, that does not mean the listenner also takes or has to take narcotics, again some may say, that music induces people to take drug.
I myself like a lot of reggae music singers, but that does not mean I will take narcotics or smoke,,. never, I am against all that rubbish.
The thing is, people are manipulative and do so to those  who are weak mentally.... But like in all fields, one has to be mature and use a bit of common sense if any left
And the pendu catse horseshyte you mention, is true, it is really disgusting, but then again, I think this bull5hit, has been dragged somehow by the wicked.
Personally when I am down or even fine, whenever I listen to bhangra music/songs, I feel fine and uplifted, don´t know about others, but taking out the rubbish of the scene, the bhangra style of music by itself as it is, is a much valid music style.

    Bro,
I do not think sikhs are living a stupid lifestyle.
As human beings like any others, we may have our pro and cons, but then that is present in all socities and cultures, nobody is free of them.
Maybe, we are mixing some concepts, cause though we have a goal to acheive, which is to become one with Waheguru through spiritual discipline, but then too we do move and mix in the world to an extent, thus it is natural to like and practice sports, watch movies, listen music, gathering with friends and any other healthy social activity as long as we do nothing morally bad or inflict any pain on others .
There maybe a handful of besharams, which is also normal to an extent, but then, that does not covers the rest of our vast majority, who are noble in nature.
We should not be that rigid or hard on ourselves, that we should limit ourselves that much, cause that would really be being stupid.

    Bro Premi Jee,
it is obvious that this type of behaviour is shameful, which I will never support.
But Bhangra is not to be blamed.
For example, we have a knife, now you can use it in a positive manner to cut vegetables for cooking, or, you can use it in evil way to kill someone,  so to say knife is bad and the use of it should be banned, would not make sense, isn´t it?

To do justice to Bhangra in the right perspective, let us first see what is the definition of Bhangra,  and how , and where  did it appear.
Bhaṅgṛā (Punjabi: ਭੰਗੜਾ/بھنگڑا) IPA: [ˈpə̀ŋɡɽaː] (listen)) is a type of traditional folk dance of the Indian subcontinent, originating in the Majha area of Punjab.[
It is done in the season of harvesting, and bhangra is especially associated with the vernal Vaisakhi festival.
In a typical performance, several dancers execute vigorous kicks, leaps, and bends of the body—often with upraised, thrusting arm or shoulder movements—to the accompaniment of short songs called boliyan and, most significantly, to the beat of a dhol (double-headed drum).
Struck with a heavy beater on one end and with a lighter stick on the other, the dhol imbues the music with a syncopated (accents on the weak beats), swinging rhythmic character that has generally remained the hallmark of bhangra music.
An energetic Punjabi dance, bhangra originated with Punjab farmers as a cultural and communal celebration.
Its modern-day evolution has allowed bhangra to retain its traditional Indian roots, while broadening its reach to include integration into popular music and DJing, group-based competitions, and even exercise,  and dance programs in schools and studios.

One may bring forward negative views of Bhangra which I do not deny, but also following are some  videos to show the posiitive sides of this dance style, and at the core are truly acceptable for which Bhangra was born: to be joyful  on cultural and communal celebrations.

As seen in the 4 videos above, the Bhangra is performed by almost all ages, childish, young, adult and older generation.
It is just just fun and adorable to watch people doing it, with the ingredients of : respect, dignity, no obscenity, no touching others(in case women are present),  no alcoholic drinking, healthy exercising ....and whatever positivity one may find in it.
Bro, tell me sincerely, is it anything wrong that you find in the examples of the videos above?
Is it because some fools deginerate our  traditions with their nasty behavoiur, for which such valuable traditions should be banned and the rest majority of our kaum should feel ashamed for it?
I sincerely think, before judging anybody or anything, all views should be kept in front of one, and without siding anybody, we should give our right opinion, and not be so severe on ourselves, we are sikhs, howsoever different and distinctive, but never ever less than anybody nor to feel ashamed of our traditions.

To add something more positive, just see the following positive comments from people around the world who are mostly not sikhs, and see the sincerity and admiration in their feelings for Bhangra after watching this dance style.
*Punjabis, embrace your beautiful culture! Be proud to have such colorful dance!!
*Love your bhangra guys and the positive vibes and great energy it is spreading️️ Keep doing this guys I am obsessed with your Bhangra....Well Done
*Excelent work guys this is awesome workout 🤛❤️
*Full of energy, marvellous, not a single beat missed
*So Beautiful and awesome performance amazing bhangra god bless you every one
*I'm enjoying the energy Where can I get admission I would like to lean how to dance like you guys
    *No words ,commendable dance
*Dil khush kr ditta had goosebumbs when i saw it mst video bhai 😍
    *This Dance is Appsluetly Amazing......

And many more such comments can be found on the net where people express their joy and admiration for Bhangra...
This is the real pure Bhangra, rest is an adulteration of the original, that is why that is ugly and shameful, but the original is pure and healthy.

    THE TALE OF THE DRAGONFLY
At the bottom of an old pond, lived a group of larvae who did not understand why when one of them ascended the long lily stems to the surface of the water, never again descending where they were.
They promised each other that the next one of them to rise to the surface would come back to tell the others what had happened to her.
Shortly after, one of said larvae felt an irresistible desire to rise to the surface.
She began to walk up one of the thin vertical stems and when she was finally outside she came to rest on a lily pad. She then underwent a magnificent transformation that turned her into a beautiful dragonfly with beautiful wings.
She tried to keep her promise, but to no avail.
Flying from one end of the pond to the other she could see her friends on the bottom.
She then understood that even if they in turn had been able to see her, they would never have recognized in this radiant creature one of her companions.
The fact that after that transformation that we call death, we cannot see our friends or relatives, nor communicate with them, does not mean that they have ceased to exist...
All of us will have to go through that natural evolutive transformation sooner or later at hiher levels of consciousness, but while some remain stuck, most os us by the grace of Guru Sahiban have the chance to get freed even from that (subtle) higher form of the dragonfly, and become formless and one with that last Ultimate Truth of Satnam, Waheguru Akal Purukh as per Gurmat, by holding on tightly to His Name.
    Sat Sree Akal.

    Married life after 50 😉😉😀
During check-in at airport for a non-stop long-haul flight, the airline staff was apologetic to the husband and said: "I am sorry sir, the flight is really full  today. We couldn’t allot you and your wife adjacent seats. Your seat number is 14A and madam's is 42H."
Husband: "Oh, thanks. Do I have to pay anything extra to you for this favour?"
Staff: "No sir, madam has already paid."

Brother, a Sant is a teacher, a Guide  of Gurmat.
So if one faithfully and diligently follows his instructions which are 101% Gurbani, one will reach the shore there where He is .
That Sant, acts as a carrier, a vessel, in which the soul/seeker sits and is thus ferried across, but for that one has to willingly sit, not by force.
Just as when we want to fly from place to another one, we willingly sit in the plane, the pilot does not force you by grabbing and pulling you inside.
    That is the first thing.
The second thing is, he will tell you to ONLY do that what Gurbani tells us to do ONLY in order to reach His destination.
Prabh ka simran man kee mael jaae
Prabh ka simran garb na baseh..
This jugtee of the repetition of His holy Name, is the only prerequisite of getting throughly cleansed from all the dirt of our vaasnas, karmas .... which we have been collecting since aeons on ourselves when we left our Father´s House.
He is all purity, so unless we become that pure(by repeating His holy name) to be worthy enough to merge in Him, nothing else can be done in terms of the soul´s salvation.
That Sant, will never ever tell you fancy stories, or entertain you with false hopes, or new theories, but as said,  will stress only upon, and constantly remind, the simple and direct teachings from the Bani, as the Bani is a timeless perpetual Truth, for whosoever wants to meet Waheguru, for there are no short cuts, nor substitutes in that respect.
Now, we will one day have to leave this body, just as the Sant will also have to, so, the real Sant is not the body, neither our physical bodies are the seekers ....
The Sant is Pure Consciousness, and our surtee is the disciple, the seeker of Truth, and it is this soul drop consciousness, which is ferried across by the Sant, from this mayavee shore, to that of Paarbraham, where He resides.
This Sant, is sent by Him, to bring back all those wadbhagee jeevas who are the ready to go back, the rest of the vast majority will deny this Sant, and take him as a false one, and will mercilessly slander and abuse him, both verbally and physically, that too, when he is only emphasizing the core teachings of Guru Sahiban and Bhagat Jan from the Bani, for that is what will give us muktee from the endless cycle of births and deaths, and not any other practices, howsoever seen performed by many on a regular basis.
Fifth Patshahee says: Bhaag hua, Guru Sant milaaya, Prabh abhinasee ghar meh paaya.
In this respect, the Bani also says: Mat koee bharam bhoolay sansaar, bin Satgur koee na utraas paar.
The Sant will only ferry us across, if only, we reach there after becoming pure/paviter by the repetition of His holy Name, there where he is waiting as pilot for all those passengers who have chosen the destination of Waheguru in Sach Khand.
Nanak naam jahaaz hae, jinee chareeya se utareeya paar.
    That´s it.

Recognizing a Brahmgyani is quite difficult if not to say impossible. It is a mark of grace from the Lord to come across them.
In Sikhee Brahmgyani is also known as Sant.
Anyhow, found the following article of Shanti Parva in the Mahabharata (in case anyone comes across them so to be it easy to recognize them), where Bhisham Pitamaa describes the qualties of such a Sant, Saint to Yudhistra:
I shall now give the qualities of such persons  whose company drives away all fear of birth and death and leads to salvation.
    They do not eat meat.
They have neither attchments not hatred for anyone. Pure living is dear to them.
Their senses are under their control. Their attitude towards pain and pleasure is alike.
They are true and benevolent.  They accept no charity fo themselves, but they are charitable to others.
They are hospitable. They are a source of happiness to all and help everyone. They are full of courage and lead a life of moral rectitude.
They are friendly towards all and are prepared to sacrifice their all in accordance with the need of the times.
They are steadfast on the Path of Truth. Their conduct is in accordance with moral priciples.
They do not criticize any holy man nor frighten anyone. They have an attitude of non-violence towards all andare free from all baser urges, such as lust, anger, worldly attachment, and pride. They do not only perform their duties, but perform them for the sake of duty and not for fame or wealth.
They have a natural relation with morality. Just as bathing, eating and other bodily actions become routine with them, likewise, virtous conduct become a part of their life.. Thet are free from fear, grief and anger. They are upright and honest.
They are neither elated over gain nor dejected over loss. They are noble and even-tempered.
Gain and loss, joy and sorrow, love and hate, birth and death and the like can not ruffle the even tenor of their life.
They are resolute and firm in their faith.
They attain a high spiritual status and remain steadfast on the path of Truth.
