  1. I think Brahmacharya of Mind and Body is very important. If you have a tendency of getting lustful thoughts your kamai will be stolen by Kaam. Especially when our kamai increases, hidden lust from deep layers of mind rises to surface and wreaks havoc. Also Kaal and Maya get super active and will distract you in any way possible when you take up the mission of getting siddhi.
  2. I think I understand your question. I was not clear when writing. You are right technically 2.5 hrs does not equal 1 sehaj path.
  3. I think so. If you do nitnem 7 banias, + sehaj path+ Gurmantra simran, that easily can be 2.5 hrs
  4. I got this from Anand Sarovar and Anand Chamatkar where Baba Nand Singh ji tells that 2.5 hours is just karza but anything more is bhagti and gets deposited. I have heard and read about 2.5 hours numerous times but just cant pinpoint exact references. I will go through bacahns and post screenshots. Also Sant Isher Singh Ji rara sahib emphasized dasvand of time which comes to be 2.5 hrs.
  5. Wahegurooo! Dhan Dhan Baba Ji di kamai bahut zyada hai , kehan sunan to bahar , we can’t even imagine There was a sangi of Baba Ishar Singh Ji who wanted to have darshan of Baba Deep Singh ji. He wouldn’t let go of baba ji and also had lots of bhagti. Eventually, Baba ji told him how to have darshan. Baba ji said go to Baba Mitt Singh ji Nihang. The sikh went to Baba Miit Singh ji, but baba ji would not let him nearby. Finally, the sikh said I have been sent by Baba Ishar Singh ji. Baba Mitt Singh ji said acha, then sit close to us, and told him to close his eyes. When sikh opened his eyes , Baba Deep Singh ji was in front of him, in full tej prakash and jalal which was unbearable. Baba Mitt Singh ji came back to his original form. Sikh bowed down. Fir baba mitt singh ji ne keha ke acha (baba ishar singh ji val ishara karke) ke oh saade parde kholda hai, hun asi vi tainu kuch dasde haan baba ishar singh ji baare. Oh ohne jinna ne sanu bnaya hai....jdo oh ishnaan krde hon ta ohna di vakhi te nishan hoyega jive kise ne khanjar marya hunda...”. Then Sikh had darshan ... This sakhi I heard from a Nanaksar Pathi, there was more in sakhi, but samajdar nu ishara kafi hai... I heard personal experiences of three other people directly from their mouth who confirmed what was indicated in above sakhi. Dhan Dhan Baba ji
  6. So basically focus on the navel area, and do anulom-vilom pranayama, and it can take few months to settle the kundalini. So afterall its not bad to have experience in some pranayama exercises for physical well-being and balance.
  7. I have had this question for a long time and I am sure a lot of us have had this question. This happens because we hear different explanations from different people. This is how I have come to terms with it and is my understanding. Please let me know if I am wrong. Gurbani gives us instructions and rehit to follow. When we read with pyar it also cleanses our sins. Once our mind is cleansed it will automatically grab Naam or feel more focused in Waheguru Naam. Gurbani also tells us to jap Naam. So it is also important to do abhyas of Waheguru Mantra. Mahapurush prescribe different medications for different patients. Its not the same for all. For some Japji Sahib, Sukhmani Sahib and for some Moolmantra. In my understanding, the more bibek & sooksham the surti is, its easier to grab or listen to Waheguru Mantra. So all of us have to decide where we stand. Baba Nand Singh Ji used to say that moolmantra is foundation, stronger the foundation, stronger the GuruMantra is. so imo both are necessary. I used to think that if I do more gurbani or moolmantra , I will miss on Gurumantra. But thats not the case, all Gurbani and Moolmantra cleanse your mind, and make you receive naam Gurmantra. But its also important to do abhyaas of Gurmantra. There are some who solely focus on Gurmantra alone. I am not sure about that. But do what works for you. I know pretty much all the great mahapurush focused a lot on doing repetitive jaap of Gurbani. there must be a reason behind it. wjkk wjkf! please sangat ji bless me with naam simran bhagti
  8. good stuff, once you reach 19, 440 jaaps, it will be equivalent of 1 sehaj path.
  9. Yes, i was listening to bibi maan kaur ji. There was so much pyar in group and listened to qa. It was full of vairag. I really like their voice chat option.
  10. Hows it going so far? What did you end up doing so far ? just curious. I would say get in touch with a senior Gursikh and get their bachan to start.
  11. I started doing 6 malas of Moolmantra( till Nanak Hosi Bhi Sach) everyday since March 1. Goal is to fulfill bachans of Mahapurush to atleast do one sehaj path in month at a minimum. I also do it while driving from work. I mostly do antarghat. so day 1-5 , 30 malas = 3240 jaaps I would request others to join in the japa and post their progress. WJKK WJKF !
  12. That was not darshan, that was maya/illusion. No one is greater than Baba Nand Singh Ji. He confirmed that ragmala is baani. This question should not even arise in our minds.
  13. All the best bro!! are you planning to do it within a certain amount of time ? do you plan to baikhari jaap or antargat ?
  14. Insight into nitnem of Baba Ji from Anand Sarovar, not to be copied but to be used as an inspiration
  15. yes, I have heard a similar version. There are different saroops now. The main idea is focus on the padam/charan, and eventually your surti will be bibek and you will have darshana of true saroop of Guru Nanak Sahib.
  16. Thanks for sharing Sat. Yes people , covid is real, only those who develop it will realise. I had a similar experience about 3 weeks ago. Thank God I was spared because I had the 2nd dose of pfizer. As a result of vaccine, I did have bodyaches and fever 102 for 2 days but it was fine afterwards. Vaccine does work. My dad had been coughing for a while. He developed body aches, and then fever 101. We thought to ride it out for 3-4 days but it did not improve. Then we decided to have the test . He was positive, the other family members were negative at that time. And then the journey started with mental and physical exhaustion. His fever wouldnt come down even with tylenol/acetaminophen. We kept giving all kinds of homeopathy and desi cold remedies but the fevel would stay in 101 range even with tylenol , 24/7. It lasted about 21 days. Body was really weak and exhausted. We were all mentally and physically exhausted. Oximeter is a great idea to have. I was told that >95% is normal, if it falls below then be concerned. So we kept measuring it and it stayed above 95, thank God. A week after mom also got sick and other family members tested positive. It was long 2-3 weeks but thank God they are recovering now. When went to Emergency they said they cant do anything unless there is shortness of breath. Mom was taking 2 tylenols every 4 hours for fever which ended up giving her esophagitis which was really painful. Now she is better. Slowly everyone has recovered now but everyone will react differently. But these were tough 2-3 weeks and they really test your limits. Thank God I was okay and was able to take care of the chores. summary: covid is real, take precautions, elderly are the most vulnerable vaccine works, take it Be thankful if you are healthy oximeter is a great tool to monitor O2 sat esp during covid. Someone to talk to during these tough times is very helpful and essential @Sat1176 It will take time to recover and gain back strength. Take nutritious diet and do rehab exercise. My mom is also 70 and we are ensuring proper diet and proper rehab. Hang in there , it will get better and will give you a more grateful perspective on Life.
  17. Yes, if you get attached to Maya and lose your goals definitely no bandagi. But speaking for myself, if I didn't have to worry about work or If I had saved for early retirement that can def give me the edge , more time to do bandagi. Instead of 8-12 hrs of work , I could be doing a long sitting in bhagti/sewa. When you are financially stable , you can do whatever you want with your time and no one will bother you.
  18. Pick one and stick to it for a minimum of 12 years. When I first started about 20 years ago , I started doing waheguru malas then I gave that up and was doing moolmantar. these days I am trying to stick to Gurmantra. Also my rehit was lacking thats why I have not reached anywhere. Important thing is dont jump around , stick to one and give it a good amount of time.
  19. Sorry to say but there is no medication for this and in medicine its not considered a problem. @Samarbir Singh Wet dreams are of two kinds ,one in which you remember the sexual encounter and another in which you dont have a memory of it. In one you lose the ojas , in another one not much difference. Dont worry much about it. Once you stop masturbating it can take from 6 months to 1 year for wet dreams to stop. but it will happen slowly. make yourself busy with other things...dont stress too much about it. stop watching youtube, movies, songs, even news unless necessary, occupy your time with something else. workout like squats, deadlifts also help with brahmacharya. if you undertand hindi, go through this playlist, this mahapurush explains very well how to keep brahmacharya, it helped me a lot in past. he is a really chardikala sant.
  20. Thats really great that you have this yearning. Preserve it, nurture it but dont get too impatient. Get the basic foundations strong. This is I would tell my younger 15 self: Keep Brahmacharya ( this can be really expanded...) Maintain Amritvela , start slow but be consistent Dont be impatient Develop physical strength to go through life situations smoothly, as well as to do bandgi, body is your horse Work for career so you can have extra freedom, and not constrained by money, it will give you extra time for bandgi. Stress of money can really hamper you bhagti, this is what I am suffering from currently. This is a marathon not sprint
  21. Sorry, I did not see this thread before. Bump ^ . I am looking for the same. I read the Anand Sarovar book on Marayada and it was very enlightening, and learnt some new things which I did not know before . For example,. the counting method of paths used by Baba Nand Singh Ji and Baba Ishar Singh Ji in multiples of 13. If someone did 13 sehaj paths it would count as 1-13, if someone did 26 it would count as 2-13. One day I was listening to tapes of Baba Ishar Singh ji and he was mentioning how one sangi did 5-13 paths/month. I was wondering what he meant by that. Now I know that sangi did 65 sehaj paths/month. wow thats a lot , so much kirpa waheguru!!
