@Shaheed4lifeveer ji dass recently has been doing paath of the first 111 pauris Sri Zafarnama Sahib using audio tracks. And it was a beautiful feeling that dass got. I would also like to encourage other sangat to add this amazing bani in their daily routine as its magnificent.

Zafarnama is such a powerful Bani! Even the evil tyrant Aurangzeb realized his wrong doings after reading it. There are no words that can describe the beauty of our Gurus Bani.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh veer ji. 

You are 100% correct Zafarnama is a amazing bani and the history behind the bani of Aurangzeb dying after reading the bani sent by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji is truly amazing.

 

Truly veer ji dass agrees no one or words can't describe our Guru Sahib Ji's Bani.

Veer Ji here is the website that dass has been using for the last few years especially for English translations of mahaan banis like Chandi Chirtars 1,2, Akal Ustat and many other banis.

Dass just found out that Sri Zafarnama has got 12 chapters and its a lot longer than dass originally thought. As dass only read the starting 111 pauris i thought that was it and the Hikayats were a different bani but found it this week its part of the same bani of Zafarnama sahib. 

 

So looking at the research i have its almost as big as Akal Ustat Sahib and dass will have to the complete paath in chunks like a week depending on when Waheguru Guru Sahib Ji's Kirpa Drishti is on dass.

Jaap Sahib Ji is definitely the most difficult of the Nitnem Bani, I guess to do it slower and read the Arth/meaning would be better just once than multiple without absorbing the meaning?

Veer ji looking back to the time of 2014/2015 Jaap Sahib's pronouncation was really really hard as the first time i had used audio tracks for it. I would personally recommend use this version attached as it breaks downs all the hard words of the paath and it helped me learn the paath quicker

Dass is extremely happy as it took 4 days to complete the full paath of Sri Zafarnama Sahib Ji with the audio tracks. Dass completed it yesterday with Waheguru Guru Sahib Ji's kirpa Drishti and it was such a beautiful feeling that the sampuran paath has been done. 

 

Dass would like to encourage the sangat to read the whole paath as dass did

@Shaheed4lifeveer ji i am next thinking about reading the full entire paath of Sri Shastar Naam Mala as everyone mostly reads the first 28 pauris of the bani. According to Dass's research the full paath is upto 1318 pauris which is spilt into 5 chapters in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji. So now dass has got to make a timetable of when and how to read it as hoping to read alongside my current Chandi banis

@Shaheed4lifeyesterday veer ji was a really good day. As dass for the first time with Waheguru Guru Sahib Ji's kirpa Drishti read both Chandi Chirtars 1 & 2 together along with Chandi di vaar.

 

Nowdays with Guru Sahib Ji's kirpa dass can read Chandi Chirtar 1 without audio tracks. But yesterday used audio track for Chandi chirtar 2.

 

So yesterday this is how dass did paath of the banis. First read Chandi Di Vaar then Chandi Chirtar 1 followed by Chandi Chirtar 2 then 28 pauris of shastar naam mala then in chunks Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji. After that Jap Ji Sahib then finally Satta Balwand di vaar ramkali. 

So it was a quite long stretch of a day but dass loved every minute of it. Especially the Bir Ras feeling from the banis.

When do you guys do Gurbani Vichaar reading, I mean how do you manage time? Do you work full/part time or are you retired/semi retired? Do you help with house chores or any other activities at home? I am sure you do Nitnem and Naam Simran daily too.

They aren't silly questions at all. 

Personally I've found that you go through various stages and phases where your concentration and understanding of particular things grow exponentially. My work can be erratic, going to different places (some very far), sometimes having quiet periods of no work, so I try and fit things in accordingly. Admittedly my discipline has been infinitely better in the past than now. But I do feel I've benefitted from those more intense and consistent periods to this day.  Chores are a normal part of life, I thought we all have to do them, but then I realised that some people are pampered, spoilt twats - and some people back home have servants.

I don't think Gurbani vichaar ever stops?

Wjkk wjkf bhen ji no its not a silly question at all. 

Dass is currently not working at the moment due to health issues so i love spending time with the banis nitnem as its a such a beautiful experience. Dass does help with chores at home with mum especially in the kitchen. 

 

About Gurbani vichaar dass hasn't really done that much research on the arth of the banis just research on the timings and marayda of the banis.

Bhenji, as the other Sangat Ji has mentioned, these aren't silly questions  

For myself I'm still studying in school so my schedule gets quite weird every day. A good way that I think is good and can work for everyone is maybe spending about 10 minutes before you sleep to do a bit of extra bani or maybe read a few Sakhis? So that way we can fit at least abit of vichaar in our daily lifes. If we have more time then we can increase the amount of time to read more bani or do vichaar besides our Nitnem. Doing vichaar and reading more bani really gives so much Anand that cannot even be described
