"I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand,
as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind,
    and sometimes against it,
but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor."

    Just Drop💧
Once a Crow, holding on to a piece of meat was flying to find a place to sit & eat.
However, an Eagle started chasing it.
The crow was anxious and was flying higher and higher, yet the eagle was after the poor crow.
Just then "Garuda" saw the plight and  pain in the eyes of the crow.
Garuda being the bird of wisdom spoke "Oh my friend!! That eagle is not after you to kill you!!
It is after that piece of meat that you are holding in your beak.
Just drop it and see what will happen”.
The crow followed the advice of Garuda and dropped the piece of meat,
and there you go, the eagle flew towards the falling meat.
Garuda smiled and said "The Pain is only till you hold on to it. Just Drop it”.
The crow bowed and said "I dropped this piece of meat, now, I can fly even higher”.
Do you carry  the huge burden called "Ego,"
which creates a false identity about us,
saying "I need love, I need to be invited, I am so and so.. etc..." ???
    -Just Drop.💧
Do you get irritated fast by "others’ actions"
it may be a friend, parents, children, a colleague, life partner...
and get the fumes of "anger "? - Just Drop.💧
Do you compare yourself with others..
in beauty, wealth, life style, marks, talent and appraisals and feel disturbed with such comparisons and negative emotions ?
     - Just Drop💧
    Just drop the burden  💧💧💧
    And evolve & fly Higher.....

    On being judgemental

We judge others when we think we are superior and other people are inferior to us.
We think we are much better human beings and they are an inferior type of human being….
The purpose of meditation of Nam bhakti is to eliminate the ego.
When one is able to eliminate the ego, then you don’t think you are superior at all….
And then you start realizing what your real self is, your insignificance.
And when that realization comes, we don’t see humans at all, we see his light in every human being.
We become humble before Waheguru Akal Purukh,  the Father of all and everything...

    The Shabd is in all.
When we direct our consciousness within
    and realize the Shabd,
we begin to understand the folly of self
    and the oneness of everything.
We begin to comprehend that everything is God’s will
    – that all is exactly as it is supposed to be.
    That understanding becomes complete
when our consciousness goes beyond the mind,
when we can escape the separate, sad, lonely world of the self
and see the Lord inside us and everyone.

    Who is your fallback..!!
    Wonderful..must read..

People help you the way they know to help you.
To help you to come out of stress, one friend will ask you to drink and another will ask you to meditate.
To overcome hurt, one friend will ask you to take revenge and get even,
and another will ask you to forgive and get ahead with your life.
‘Who is your fallback’ makes all the difference.
Duryodhana’s predicament, in his own words, was, “I know what is right but I am not able to indulge in it.
I know what is wrong but I am not able to avoid it.”
    He needed a fallback.
His fallback was his uncle Shakuni, and resultantly, Duryodhana moved from bad to worse.
    Arjuna’s predicament was different.
He was allowing his personal emotions to dominate his sense of duty,
and hence wanted to escape from the responsibilities he had towards upholding righteousness.
    He needed a fallback.
His fallback was Krishna, and resultantly, Arjuna was restored to his greatness.
Humans we are, at some point or the other, we all  need a fallback.
‘Who is your fallback’ makes all the difference.

    Choose Well !!!

Note: in our case as sikhs, if we make Guru Jee and Gurbani our fallback, we shall always remain morally straight.

    Lord Buddha And The Brahman..!

Lord Buddha was sitting under a banyan tree. One day, a furious Brahman came to him and started abusing him.
The Brahman thought that Lord Buddha would reciprocate in the same manner, but to his utter surprise, there was not the slightest change in the
    expression on his face.
Now, the Brahman became more furious. He hurled more and more abuses
at Buddha. However, Lord Buddha was completely unmoved. Actually there was a look of compassion on his
face. Ultimately the Brahman was tired of abusing him.
He asked, "I have been abusing you, but why are you not angry at all ?"

Lord Buddha calmly replied, "My dear brother, I have not accepted a
    single abuse from you."

"But you heard all of them, didn't you?" The Brahman argued half-heartedly.

Buddha said, "I do not need the abuses, so why should I even hear them?"

Now the Brahman was even more puzzled. He could not understand the
    calm reply from Lord Buddha.

Looking at his disturbed face, Buddha further explained,
"All those abuses remain with you."
"It cannot be possible. I have hurled all of them at you,"
    the Brahmin persisted.
Buddha calmly repeated his reply, "But I have not accepted even a single
abuse from you ! Dear brother, suppose you give some coins to somebody, and if he does not accept them, with whom will those coins remain?"
The Brahman replied, "If I have given the coins and not needed by someone,
then naturally they would remain with me."
With a meaningful smile on his face, Buddha said, "Now you are right.
The same has happened with your abuses. You
came here and hurled abuses at me, but I have not accepted a single abuse from you. Hence, all those abuses remain with you only. So there is no reason to be angry with you."
    The Brahman remained speechless.
He was ashamed of his behavior and begged for Buddha's forgiveness.
Lesson To Learn From This Story:

Inner calmness and peace are keys to contented life. You know who you
are and what you want in
life, so don't respond to what person said about you in
anger. Control your anger with patience and calmness. That is the biggest strength of Wise men.
Never take some one for granted, Hold every person Close to your Heart
because you might wake up one day and realize
that you have lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones.

Question 10: Sachay Patshah, why do  You throughout the Bani emphasize  only on Nam Bhakti as per means of true devotion?
    Guru Jee:   ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਵੈ ਘਰ ਮੂਸੇ ਦਸਵੈਂ ਤਤੁ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥੨੨॥੭੩॥
Kehath Kabeer Navai Ghar Moosae Dhasavain Thath Samaaee ||3||22||73||
Says Kabeer, the nine openings of the body are being plundered; rise up to the Tenth Gate, and discover the True essence.

Here,  what Guru Jee is trying to tell us, is that, the object of whatever efforts of ours as per means of bhakti, is to take us nearer to the True essence, or essence of Spirituality.
And as seen in His words, He says that, that essence of Truth lies in the Tenth Gate, means above the other nine gates or portals, such as : 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 1 mouth and 2 lower apertures, through which our attention is scattered in the mayavee creation.
So as long our attention does not approach towards  that essence of Truth, which lies above the eyes  at the center of our head, we are much far away from our objective, thus, no matter how many days or hours continously  we remain engaged in those practices, we have not get nearer towards it, not even a fraction of an inch.
For it is only by Nam bhakti that we collect our attention or soul consciousness within and upwards  towards the Tenth Gate, there where lies the True subtle essence of Truth.....
And the more we do that nishkam bhakti with love, the more His blessings upon us, which is nothing but His apaar kirpa,  by which we are cleansed throughly, and become fit to merge and become one with Him.
Manumukhs try all sorts of practices accordingly to please their minds thus they feel they are doing something worthy; but it is only by following Gurmat, which only stresses upon Nam bhakti, for it is only by treading  this path of Nam Bhakti laid by Guru Jee Himself as per means of  true Bhakti, to get closer and become one with Him.
See by yourselves, that by all other practices except Nam bhakti,  we remain scattered in the 9 apertures or gates , thus far away from our goal of Truth,  so, we are not to copy what the world does, and please the world, it is to Him who we have to please, namely Waheguru Akal Purukh, by focussing ourselves on the ever  regular practice of Nam bhakti.
Nam bhakti is called true bhakti, becuase it gets us closer and closer to that Highest Universal unchangeable Truth of Satnam/Wahegru.
    Stay blessed.
    Sat Sree Akal.

    At  forty ,  he  is  full  of  life ;

One friend...   3 years earlier crossed 50...

Just about 8 days later an ailment was the excuse and a condolatory message  on the group ...Sad ..no more RIP 🙏
Two months later i called her husband. A thought crossed my mind ..he must be devastated.
Her spouse had a travelling job. Till her death she would oversee everything...home..education of their children..in laws..their sickness..relatives..everything

She would express at times..my house..my family ..but should we not get appreciation...why are we taken for granted?
I called up. I thought her hubby must be lost..to be responsible for evetything..aging parents, loneliness at this age..how must he be managing?
The cell phone rang for some time..the mind was perplexed...
After an hour he returned the call..He apoligised that he could not receive the call..He had started playing tennis for an hour at his club and meeting friends ensured he had a good time. He took a transfer to Pune.
All well at home , i asked.
He replied ..he had hired a cook ..he paid her more and she would buy the groceries and provisions.
He had hired full time caretaker for his aging parents. Managing..have to ..etc..I barely managed to say a couple of sentences and we hung up.
    Tears welled up my eyes.
She was immovable from my vision.  She had missed the school reunion for minor ailment of het mother in law.  Looking for some appreciation and some applause..said she.
I feel like telling her...  No one is indispensable. And no one will be missed..it is play of our mind.
Perhaps it is the consolation...a symbol of our understanding if you would like to call it that...
That's the problem of putting others first.  You have taught them You come second Reality bytes.
After her death two more maids were hired. The house was in order.
We only measure our respect and our value..ain't that true?
Then do enjoy life..Remove the frame of mind that i am indispensable and without me my envoirements will suffer..🙏
Most importantly make the time for the self..🏃🏼‍♀️

Do not know why, but people really have a wild imagination...
This guy is a singer, his voice quality and the wordings in the songs, denoting praises and bireh for the Almighty are the reason for liking.
Nobody cares much for his "apperance" or image, for that has nothing to do with his songs nor voice.
His singing style, or voice, or the lyrics may not be liked by you, but to relate his image with it, is not normal at all.
One thing has nothing to do with the other.
For example The Beatles, singing in western attaire or in indian attaire... do you think that by changing their image, will lessen their voice quality or their level in the songs?
Lucky Bro is right, our community is fast in belittling others for no apparent reason, such a pity.

Their neighbour, who was aware of this, after some weeks, asked them about any improvement. They replied:
Earlier, when we quarrelled, we used to get tired in an hour. Now we can go on for 5-6 hours😳
