There is a salok in sanskrit which praises Harad/Harde which is one of the 3 components of Triphala, my father would recite it so many times that i kind of picked up it is like this :

Yassya Maata nassyati tassya Mata Haritaki

Which means one who doesnt have a mother, her/his Mata is Haritaki (Harde)
A mother takes care of the child and makes sure the child is disease free, similarly Harde too keeps one free of diseases.

Yes I usually take Dabur trifala churan on daily basis..It is very beneficial for constipation.lol..It is very much beneficial for digestive system. So it mainly balances vat..It also pacifies pitt and kaff.So yes it maintains a proper balance of these three factors.
You know there are listtt of benefits of Triphala. But all depends upon how we are using it.Even it's said that it can heal any disease, but all depends upon the use of basic ingredients in adequate ratio.

Yes I've recently joined ayurveda after thinking a lot.Vaat, pit and kaff are basic forces ,factors which are responsible for different diseases. To maintain healthy state, there must be proper balance of these three factors(Tridoshs) in body.
Vat is vayu-cold,dry ,light nature.causes movements in body.IT is the factor responsible for pains in body.It is active after digestion of food.So from 2-6 am pm.
Pit is fire.Yea it is heat.So ,responsible for digestion.it is active during digestion of food.so,10-2 am pm.
Kaff is water and land ,so heaviest of all.It is active after eating food.so,from 6-10am pm.
A state of equilibrium/balance of doshas /factors keeps on increasing or decreasing at various points of time. The first part of the day is dominated by kaff, the afternoon by pitt and night by vaat. Therefore the daily intake of food should be according to the dominance of these factors.Things which increase kaff shouldnt be taken early in the morning and same goes for pitt and vat.similarly, there is dominance of kaff in childhood, pitt in middle age and vat in old age.
So,this is what I've learnt during these very few days of my course.lol..
Though it seems to be very simple to discuss these things, but I believe it needs very precise understanding of this concept to full apply it into practice.
    Hope to understand it gradually!

it's funny how my understanding has changed slightly to my very earlier posts on this same topic...not different...but a little deeper...... I totally agree N30 ji, that Naam is both anhad naad and beyond...
The very first state of naam or experience of naam, as in when the servant says "bless me with naam, or Naam bakhso"  is anhad naad. ...this is when we say that naam has been baksh. or blessed.
That's when the naam journey begins, when you have made contact with that resonating wave of Ek Ongkar....it has began to get pargat.... shabad below can also confirm N30's post...

    1) asking for naam, which could be 1st encounter of anhad naad.... or it could even be darshan of waheguru...as in the later darshan line..."Hohu ḏa▫i▫āl ḏarsan ḏeh apunā aisī bakẖas karījai"   .... all depending on stage of sevak. (it doesn't matter because he tells you why later on in the shabad
    2) He confirms in the rahao pangti, that the above line doesn't matter if it refers to sevak begging for 1st stage Anhad or Darshan of waheguru at his door, because when it comes to naam..there is no duality, no other, nothing beyond naam ...there is only the One, who is the cause of naam and is the cause itself.

Yes this Maya is of verryy bad character, always tries to allure us,what a devil character!
Always wants to eat us for her own satisfaction by offering us sweet poison.
And devils are those who are loving this sweet poison and crying day and night in call of more poison.
    What a big trap!

What I understand of it is:
Here we can take the scenario in two contexts.First, the woman/feminine character representing Maya/Ilusion and man/Raja/Masculine character representing human jeev/human as person.
So that defines how Maya/illusion tries to distract a person from his path.As our ultimate goal is to merge with that supreme. And before doing that we need to cross many sub stages. And to achieve a awastha where one is free from these 5s is one of those sub stages and yes  higher awastha though. But that man (with god's /gurus grace) doesnt indulge in all this.He just sits still in name of his Guru.
Maya again and again tries to allure him so that he gets trapped in his jaal/scheme .She(maya) offers him many tastes like taste of wealth, health, beauty etc etc etc but that man(person/jeev) never wants to be the part of it.Then she simply says if you will not enjoy my offerings(worldly pleasures) then people will call you thief(a weird/pschyo/mad/inhuman//impersonator/titles like that) then man gets suspicious at this moment.he says O guru If I deny worldly pleasures/attachments then It seems difficult to live here among people in human body and if I accept all this, then I get away from you.So then Maharaj(guru) himself helps him by teaching him to play tricks with maya(as raja does with that woman) with help of Naam ,and still he is living in world(as he was in Ward of woman),but he doesnt get caught under her influence(did not do anything wrong).
So I took that in this way.I may be wrong but thats what clicked me at the instant.
Other context is as it's mentioned. Then it goes for both men and women. For Men,to never get allured by women and vice versa.

yes guru amardas ji maharaj says ... maya mamta mohni vin danta jag khaye...  maya is such a treacherous entity it eats the whole world without even teeth.
Baba Nand Singh Ji would say in ardaas to Guru Nanak   Aap di maya nu mod lo,  maya de shal shidar to hath deke bacha lo
Translation:  Guru Nanak sahib ji take your maya illusion away from our minds, save us from the shal shidar = charitar of maya.
So I understand that  a charitar can happen to either male or female. The responsibility is upon a individual gursikh to understand the real meaning behind the story, and use it in their own lives instead of deliberating giving it a negative color .

    sukirt bhenji,
you are right, problem happens when people misinterpret or misunderstand based on their inferior intellect, in order to truly understand gurbani one needs to be in sehaj avastha, above from the qualities of rajo tamo sato. No one on this forum is in sehaj avastha except maybe one or two people. This applies to Gurbani and all of Dasam Bani. Some people think they are experts and do slander of Dasam Bani.
So be careful what others say, never accept, just stay in faith & devotion , that is the safest part.  Otherwise if people create unnecessary doubts in your mind, it will hurt your spirituality. I am just writing what I would say to my younger sister.
I hope you understood what I meant to say.
    Fateh!

However, I am praying that there won't be any personal attacks either through the Sangat here in person etc...as a result of my posting this. Please keep your negative comments / attacks to here only.
