Sant mahapurshs humility is so natural and simple it leaves you awestruck.
There was an incident that happened in wolverhampton with sant baba isher singh ji..Baba ji was going to attend a divan at nanksar gurdwara and one individual took it upon himself to print posters saying to not attend the divan as sant baba isher singh is a pakand etc.. While a sevak was driving Baba ji they saw the individual pasting the posters on the wall.. Baba ji asked the sevak to stop driving, baba ji came out went to the individual and said 'please let me help you' the individual was shocked and said these posters are about you.. Baba ji smiles and replies 'meleh kapre ninda toye'...
I cannot validate the authenticity of this story as i heard it in a discussion amongst sangat but two things we can learn from this is the humility of elevated souls and that even if one slanders you, let them as they are wiping off your sins.:)

Plus if he did be politically correct and a 'yes man' he could be making alot more money aswell so fair play..
Klit has to come in with hooks and uppercuts and tyson will just box him and dance around the ring.. Plus last fight was in his back yard and they put a shit ring (spongy ring) which makes it more difficult to move around quickly and the fury team threatened to walk away from the fight unless it was changed, these little things show klit was worried in the last fight.. My money is on fury clear points win or by ko but this is heavyweight boxing, one punch is a game changer... Con't wait!!
This is his old man having a rant....think he went ott with 'bow down to my son' but it is funny as hell..

I like Tyson Fury a lot too. He seems really genuine in a world where every last fudhu in the media seems fake as f**k.
He's not scared to say ish that isn't politically correct, even if it hurts him.

I agree  that it is proper 50/50.

I'm really interested in seeing what Wlad comes out with now. He has to come with new game against Fury. His tried, perfected and practiced technique doesn't work against him.

@Ragmaala Yeh in that case put your foot down and if things do go abit pear shaped just pm me and there's small practical things that will help control/harness the shakti.. these are things suggested to me by baba joginder singh (raqba) ..saying that it may just be a case of karm accelerating..
Im defo with you on the fast rhythm and flow when doing loud jaap but  i would also do dhyaan recting this manter and it would start fast but then goes really slow..i loved it but now spending time with mool manter which for me seems a bit of a chore sometimes esp with jaap....i actually avoided this thread but now im feeling to go back to the gayatri manter lol..
i genuinely wish you luck with this jaap and hope you get what you desire...
Im not sure at all what needs to be done or if it has specific benefits ie get a job/wife/house etc but its a shakti manter.. I did it as i was getting 'signs' to do this and i did sava lakh in 40 days and started at 3am and kept satogun diet on top of my nitnem (not 5 bani nitnem just my personal one) but i was not working then so had a lot of time on my hands... but after initial jaap i carried on with this manter which i really enjoyed, english language is crap, i say enjoyed but its was more anand. being detached but involved..its weird and hard to explain
i just asked google baba about this manter and got this from yogi bhajan....i agree with the part where you start seeing things before they happen but at same time you do not want to be stuck at this, its like seeing a nice blossom tree and moving on then to stand there admiring it..saying that i feel this happens with all manters, a good friend of mine cannot read gurbani just does dyaan on mool manter and recites this all day and he mentioned such things aswell...
    The Eight Facets of God
Excerpts from a lecture on 9/11/76
This is a sound which anybody and everybody can pick up. These are eight facets of God, eight sides of God:
Gobinday, Mukanday, Udaaray, Apaaray, Hariang, Kariang, Nirnaamay, Akaamay
Pick up the notes. The brain has the capacity to automatically pick it up. These words existed before any language existed. Just pick up the rhythm and that's all you have to learn. These are called rhythm mantras. Rhythm mantras are meant to pick you up into the ether. This is one mantra in the world which balances the ether and the Earth.
You can sing it anyway. You can sing it driving, sitting, eating, sleeping; it doesn't matter. Whenever you utter it, all facets of God will be right in you. Now, when you will do this, after a while you will start seeing lots of things. You will say something and it will happen; don't worry. Just keep on doing it.
Life is a living experience between the finite and Infinity.
“The Guru Gaitri Mantra of Guru Gobind Singh has the power of the four Vedas, six Puranas and thirty-six Simritis. All these are equal to reciting the Guru Gaitri just once. Traditionally, only a person who has been initiated by a guru is entitled to chant a gaitri. Whosoever shall chant it, the Primal Power, the Adi Shakti, will guard that being.
This mantra is a ‘Shakti’ mantra. Shakti gives one the positive power of God. If you chant this mantra, there shall be no enemy, including one’s own ego, which can overpower you. It is a mantra of deathlessness.” –Yogi Bhajan (7/9/75)

When i said 'what the point' i didn't mean to come across as its irrelevant but  sometimes when you talk about direct experiences its really a case of showing off ... you may or may not get mystical experiences form this jaap... like i said it helped in my worldy affairs..it felt like knots being untied, you ever been in a position when a thin thread had a knot init and you try so hard to untie it and get nowhere then someone comes a long and unties it with relative ease, thats how i feel when reflecting on this jaap..i still do this jaap now and again.
I actually felt guilty when doing these jaaps for material gain but when i looked at spiritual people here in uk, most if not all had financial security/stability,something i've never had, and i wondered would they be so spiritual and god orientated if that worldy security was swept away from under their feet..hhmm not sure bro but also contemplating on others, maharaj has loooked after them from the start for them to enjoy his fruits.. its probably best if you start the jaap and if you feel ok about it, share it on here (something i wouldn't do, but each to their own).. be warned you will get a lot of rukaavat especially if you do ardas to complete x amout of jaap in x amount of days for a specific gain/phall..
for jaap itself, when i first started i recited with mouth (loud) over time it became mental to the point i would be doing jaap in head and working and/or doing daily activities at same time...even now sometimes that manter automatically starts in my mind and i go with it and enjoy it.. With jaap, look at your situation and be practical.. its like food, its best eaten when sitting down and in a relaxed mode eating slowly, basically enjoying the food/taste, but if your in a rush you tend to eat fast and sometimes even stand and eat...point being in both scenarios you cater for hunger and are satisfied at the end..things i would suggest is if you got time, do x amount a day sitting down maybe with dhoop/jot and water which you sprinkle around room and drink rest of it.
Have you done this jaap or started it?? don't just do it for the sake of it as you may end up being disappointed, if you have a strong natural desire and 'signs' are saying do it, then put your foot down and get on with it..

i like tyson fury alot, a propa banda.. a mans man.. no messin about... actually the whole fury family are f'kin bandeh straight up...his old man did a bit of bird for a fight where he tried to take mans eye out..tyson's (infact whole fam) not one of those politically correct type of geezers..straight up raw man ..i genuinely respect men like that...also they are travellers (gypsies), so their mentality is different,if they have a dispute they have a punch up (fisticuffs) they shake hands at the end....fair play..
i also think with a bit more weight training emphasis hes's looking for the ko, which makes sense as kilt will come to attack which is t'd off more a counter ko..saying that tyson is favourite but it is still a genuine 50/50..but my money is on fury to do it again....

watch from 37:40.   Interesting conversation unfolds.  Psychic could not get through Sant Ji but when Sant Ji gave a hint about her past at age 13 she was really impressed  her body language & receptivity towards Sant Ji changed. On the other hand swami got flustered and anxious. What was more amazing was how sant ji hid his psychic/supernatural powers throughout the whole morcha & mission. He just pretended to be a normal person & go through the whole play untouched.  Head bows down to the kamai of such a great Personality.  Waheguru!!!

I read this last night and it got me thinking if the likes of rai singh did stay around the fauj we would all be quarter backs now...
It made me think of the current grooming situation in uk.. in 90's shere punjab stressed to the committee members of the seriousness of, at the time conversion now grooming. They had the rai sort of attitude of no, we are educated etc now and any problem we will go via the authorities, well look at whats happened. In 90's it was more about picking up apneah from day timers/uni's so predomiantly 16/18+ now the sulleh have targeted 11+ and in some cases younger.. Had those so called sikh leaders listened to the sp, im pretty sure none of this would be happening in our community and if so it would be the odd here and there (not saying sikh girls would not go with sulleh just not in the manner of manipulation/deciet)...
Maharaj knew it was time for physical battles and the 'turn the other cheek' sikhs was not gonna be any good to the cause, as they will always find a way not to confront in physical battle..

Anyway bro. This very old sakhi (from 1765), seems to indicate that dasmesh pita knew full well that not every one is cut out for rough stuff.

I remember the first time i read this account 8-9 years ago I found it awfully strange that the Guru would dismiss the use of thinking, observing and calculating. I mean, - isn't it better to have a firm strategy when conducting war?

Now, 8-9 years after, having gotten older and seen more of the world, i've seen how many "outsiders" who've spend loads of time studying books and sitting behind a desk studying people and social problems at a distance are absolutely clueless about real problems of the world. Yet these same people are used to make recomendations for politicians and people of power....They sit there and analyze and give reports (to politicians etc) who on the basis of these "never seen the real world" reports go on and conduct absolutely terrible political strategies in areas of social problems, foreign policy etc.... I realize now that the above sakhi is absolutely correct, - there are some things you can't learn from just reading books afar, - you need to be in it to know about it. If you aint in it,- stop commenting about it.... Thats why the Guru told Bhai Rai Singh to go home and let the warriors do their business...

I think it speaks of certain people being unsuitable for violent conflicts (or raula as dasmesh pita puts it according to the text). It points at Guru ji's military strategy. It makes sense that he didn't put people unsuitable for certain roles in certain positions - it's commonsense actually.   It also shows how firm yet tactful Guru ji was - he sends Rai Singh home without calling him a weakling. He says some Sikhs will follow their Sikhi at home, and some in war.
I've always associated Amritdharis with an explicit warrior element in the quom, so it was surprising to see Guru ji send Rai Singh home  (I presume Rai Singh took amrit from the name).
Amardeep, I think Guru ji did that with Bhai Nand Lal too if I'm not mistaken? Making him remove a kirpaan he donned? Correct me if I'm wrong please.
The text also implicitly outlines some characteristics required of warriors i.e. not over-analysing things and questioning and throwing themselves into the fray when it mattered. In terms of family life, it suggests Guru ji wasn't too keen on excessive attachments to your children and material wealth (ਧੀਆ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾ ਮਾਲ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਮੋਹੁ) and felt these things were incompatible with the struggle that that they foresaw. And we all know he firmly practiced what he preached in this department.

Amardeep (now forum admin), brought this text to our attention a few years ago (nice one bro!), and I've been looking at it recently. It's a very interesting extract from the Chaupa Singh Singh rehatnama as translated and published by Hew McLeod.
If it is an accurate account, it suggests that Guru ji didn't expect all Sikhs to fight in war, deeming some unsuitable. I've not compared the translation to the original Panjabi text as given in McLeod's book yet. I'm posting both for people's inspection.
I love reading, but unfortunately I just can't do it for prolonged periods in electronic form (ebooks, kindle, ipads etc.), and can't afford to print out the whole thing either hence I haven't read the book fully yet.

i wont go into technicalities, basically because i cannot...but analogy i will use is this.. You can train and spar in martial arts all day long but nothing prepares you for a street fight... in a street fight your tolerance to blows increases massively .. i feel same is with guns, you can practice with ear protectors etc but in a real situation your adrenaline will protect ear drums from loud sharp noises..
Something related to this topic is also, from my experience of people is sometimes i feel a street man/warrior, what ever term you want to use, is either you are or you are not.. i say this because i have seem on a couple of occasions those who have trained in karate and taekwando, freeze in a street fight which makes me contemplate that are some just not up for the cause (warrior mentality), but then mahara'js bachan about making birds fight the eagle...i dunno.. what your thoughts bro..
Just want to reiterate when i talk about warrior mentality its built on the foundation of righteousness....sant/sipahi.. the complete product..lol...the tenth master guru gobind singh ji...
