    No in Asia.
Im not sure about western scientists. It was recommended to me by the sinseh in the traditional chinese medicine shop.Worked very well for me so I've been recommending it to those with lung problems since.Feedback has always been positive.

I agree with what you are saying and understand where you are coming from in principal.
But the day a heavy tool lands on your head in a construction site will make you change your mind,if you are still alive after that. Many sites wouldn't allow you in without a helmet because of site safety rules made by the government.
Same goes with motorcycle helmet. How many good young boys have passed because of head injury.
I am not talking about the right to wear turban or going to war.I'm just talking on a practical level.
A dead Sikh is of no use to anyone, neither to the panth nor to the Gurus.

Sound and practical advice Ji. This won't deprive any Sikh from pursuing an honest line of career.👍

You can take the Kara off your wrist bro, but do not separate it from your body. Keep it in your pocket, while you are playing.
Kara and Kirpan must be of Sarabloh.

Baba Vir Singh jee has a great point, but you need to remember bro that one has to stick to one Jaap for a very long time period, in order to start feeling/realizing its powers.
Let's look at an example. Suppose, you are digging a well. Now, the water is at 20 ft, below the surface, but you don't know that. You start digging at one spot. You dig for 10 ft and then stop, as you suspect that you may have chosen the wrong spot. Then, you move to a different spot. You dig there for 15 ft and then again stop, as you suspect again that you don't have the right spot. Therefore, you switch the spot again and start digging over there. If you keeping doing this again and again, you will never ever be able to reach the water.
Similarly, if a person keeps switching Jaaps, he/she might be engaging in something similar to the example (of the well) above.
Gyani Thakur Singh jee gave a similar analogy to the above, in his katha.
That's why it is always great to meet a Gurmukh Brahamgyani and then practice Gurbani Mantar Sidhi under his/her guidance.

    Waheguru Ji
It helps to do the jaap in a dark room to control the eyes from wandering around and getting distracted. As the goal is to go inward and away from the senses.
This is a open jaap. Done mostly while sitting and walking around through out the day. The main focus is on training the mind  listening to the Mantar no matter what is happening externally.
Also, trying to observe what takes the mind away from listening to the Mantar as the mind gets caught up in the inner chatter.

Sikh - wearing helmet allowed or not as part of mandatory work requirement. Would like to know opinion based on Nanaksar Maryada.
Also, like to know opinion on work environment which involves selling non-veg and other bad products as we know how it is in the west. For example someone working in a grocery store where you have a lot of anti-maryada products.

You can wear a helmet, if it is a mandatory safety requirement at your workplace. Wear a Patka, then the helmet should likely fit on top.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

June the 2nd was my 200th day of quitting alcohol and cigarettes.Still carrying on.Think about it daily but I refuse to succumb to temptation.
I find it tough as I'm having high stress levels this past month.Having flashes of memory of me drinking.Suddenly getting taste of beer or whisky in my mouth.Sometimes I get the taste and smell of cigarettes. It comes and goes. Mind is playing tricks on me.I believe that my determination not to go back being a drunk and smoker is keeping me away from these intoxicants.Taking it step by step, day by day.
Prayer wise, lots of noise in my head while doing paath. Before my mind was less noisy but now its gone real bad.Whole while I'm reading Japji Sahib my mind is active with thoughts and comments etc.Sometimes the thoughts are negative and filled with anger.Don't know why. I've given up trying to silence my mind.
Will update again in another 100 days.

If you ask me It's the intention that matters. You are thinking about others and that's good. Don't worry too much.

Exercising is a must for this to work.Helps elevating mood and keeps mind away from thoughts of substances at least during exercise time.

No never tried.Just cold turkey. Most of it is in the head, nothing much physical.
My full  blood panel last year showed no abnormalities. Nothing much can be done for lungs. But a good product for lung health/strength is boiled crocodile skin with chinese herbs or dried crocodile meat made into soup. I feel the lungs get stronger after a 3 day course of this.Extremely good for lungs.
