Premi reacted to GurjantGnostic in Where is Harsharan Veer Ji?
I'm not sure I spelled Veerji's name right but you all know who I mean.
That Ji is special. If he's left we should apologize to him and ask him to return to posting.
I hope veerji is well.

Premi got a reaction from GurjantGnostic in Is too much exercise killing you?
I read it 2-3 years ago so cannot remember mcuh
But, I remember that humans not really supposed to be seated much of the time (but this has become common in office jobs). That even doing a little walking intermittently throughout the day in office jobs is helpful to health and reducing cardiovascular risk
Otherwise, I would suggest getting book from Library rather than buying

@sevakJi, did you grow up in India. ? Yes old age is part of life, but I think nowadays 'old people ' are those who are at least 70-75 - I think most of us posting on forums are at least 20-30 years away from that.
And the 'stomach' thing - that sort of thinking was popular a few generations ago - do you think most people who look 'well fed' are actually from such families now (and even if they are, I don't think it impresses most people) ?

Even elite, superfit athletes (and I consider soccer players are generally NOT doing too much exercise) can develop health issues out of nowhere
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59261740
Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero said he is "always positive" after reports claimed he was considering retirement.
The Argentina forward, 33, was taken to hospital after suffering chest pains against Alaves last month.
Barca later announced he will not play for three months while he receives treatment and his health is monitored.
"Given the rumours, I tell them that I am following the indications of the club's doctors," Aguero said on social media.
"I'm doing tests and treatment and seeing my progress within 90 days."
Aguero became Manchester City's all-time leading scorer before joining Barcelona on a free transfer in July.
After starting the season with a calf problem, he made his debut last month and has scored once in five appearances for the Spanish side.
As initially reported by Catalunya Radio, Aguero may have to wait until February or March next year before being able to make a decision on his future, according to BBC Radio 5 Live's European football expert Guillem Balague.
Aguero joined Barca on a two-year deal in the summer, but the club have not considered rescinding his contract, said Balague.

Too much exercise is not good for you. A person has to use judgment on what is the right amount.

They go well beyond 'slightly big stomach'. Personally I don't think we should just give up to 'old age'. Yes, aging is inevitable, but we can still make consistent efforts to not physically give up in the face of it. I know that that sudden change in metabolic rate at mid-age catches most of us out. You have to make moves around it.
I get it. Train, and you can get wear and tear issues, muscle imbalances etc. But don't train, and let your muscle deteriorate prematurely and you get a whole bunch of other problems like posture. I get that it's often harder to motivate yourself and get that energy up to train as you get older. Still, having muscles in themselves helps increase your metabolic rate.
Plus if someone has to overfeed themselves to let others know that they have enough money for food, I'd say that their obsession with what other people think is skewed. That's probably more of a third world way of thinking?

I agree. But I also think not doing any exercise is also a form of mental illness too. Especially when someone can look into a mirror and clearly see that their body is deteriorating and still not take some form of remedial action.
There are just way too many morbidly obese apnay walking around.
