great question unbreakable, there is no much difference between giani and sant if you look at the adhyatamic(spiritual) meanings of these terms.

It just giani word itself is been loosely used and abused for decades now. Looking at the sad state of affairs these days sant word itself also becoming more common used/abused loosely.

A giani is just a title given to one who had great gian and is an expositer of Gurmat. A sant can also be called a giani. But not all giani's are sants as sant refers to having a certain avastha. Example is Giani Thakur Singh who is a sant as well.

Ya, Taksaal does train gianis, as do some others.

Neo's post totally hits the nail on the head.

I have heard that there is also a course one can attend in India to become a 'Brahm-Gyani', apparently Bhai Ajit Singh - who does the 'Simran' course in Swindon can provide details.

If someone here is part of that sangat, which also does simran at Havelock Road Gurdwara on Saturday mornings - could they provide more details as to how one can become a Brahm-Gyani in 3 years.

Ta.

I've got a BA in Politics and Economics (B'ham Uni). Currently, I am doing a Post -Graduate MBA course in Brahm-Gyani and Finance. I hope to become a fully registered Sant after that. Hope fully should get a job in Kaneda or Amreeka. Tax-free salary, pension a'int too bad either!
