I know these areas well and although this is an extreme case, violence is frequently used to keep Pakistani women/girls in check there and has been done so for 20 odd years. This should give us an idea of why certain sulliyan are infinitely more scared to have relationships compared to Sikh girls. I am not saying we should follow this but it should give some of the more naive brothers who post on here a better idea of why their is such a difference between communities in terms of the behaviour of kurian.

Acid attacker who disfigured sister's Facebook lover jailed for 30 years

An acid attacker who left a 25-year-old man severely disfigured in a horrific plot to avenge his family's "dishonour" was jailed for 30 years today.

Mohammed Vakas was found guilty by an Old Bailey jury of plotting to murder Awais Akram.

The victim was targeted because of his intimate relationship with Sadia Khatoon, 24, a married businesswoman he had met on Facebook, the court heard.

When her husband, Shakeel Abassi, and Vakas, her brother, found out about it, they got her to lure Mr Akram out of his flat to the scene of the attack.

There the victim was beaten and stabbed before Vakas poured concentrated sulphuric acid over his head, leaving him with 47% burns and fighting for his life.

Vakas, 26, of Walthamstow, north east London, was found guilty of conspiring with Khatoon and her husband to murder Mr Akram.

Fellow attackers Mohammed Adeel, 20, also of Walthamstow, and a 17-year-old youth, who can now be named as Fabion Kuci, of Harlesden, north west London, were convicted of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.

Adeel was jailed for 14 years and the youth was locked up for eight years.

Mr Akram, who survived the attack but continues to undergo treatment for his injuries, has described how he was in so much pain at the time that he wanted to die.

Judge Brian Barker, the Common Serjeant of London, said: "The facts of this case are horrifying. This was a remorseless and a heartless plan.

"It was to punish and kill Mr Akram in the most cruel and sadistic way. The reason can be deduced as being an unacceptable relationship with Sadia Khatoon and Awais Akram.

"This was deemed to bring dishonour to her husband and to both families."

Doesn't matter what religion you are you deserve everything you get if you mess with someone's wife! That Akram guy does have a nerve claiming he wanted people to know what he had been through, what about the woman's husband and brother and what they must have been through to learn of the woman's adultery?

I doubt he will be on facebook any time soon trying to pull any more women! I bet the woman's body will be found in some ditch somewhere in Pakistan soon.

Tony, I understand what you are saying. But what if that women was say an unmarried sister of theirs, would you still feel the same?

It says he came from his flat in London, so I think it is another case.

These type of cases are extreme cases and could happen in any community.I don't think this stop muslim Girls from having relationship.Just to tell you these days

many people mainly hindu jaats are on rampage killing young couples who marries within gotra and cases of honour killings are increasing day by day still rural youths are engaging in love relationships

No one is forcing you read these posts, if you don't like, by all means please don't read. And if I do post articles of interest for the brothers, it is no crime? Sharing a little info is not a bad thing. This is a forum, we are supposed to discuss and share you donut.

Anyway, you might think it is gossiping, but close members of my family live a few minutes from where the above happened, so yes, it is something 'of interest' to me bell end. Plus it is good for the closeted Singhs out there to know what kind of people we may possibly have issues with in future in the UK. I hope not but better we (in the UK) are a bit aware just in case. A lot of these guys (not all) have a deep hatred of Sikhs.
