I do agree with you veer ji that the mindset of the old generation folks has left a negative impression on the youth and youngsters of today's age which is why you don't see that many young people at the gurdwara.

Dass has himself changed the gurdwara which I used to once attend many years ago due to a certain number of people that I have had some really negative experiences which was disgusting behaviour.

@dalsingh101 @Soulfinder how do you see the situation ?
I think some Gurdware still have too much old-fashioned thinking and Committees are full of retired-age first generation who are not 'street-wise', nor do they want to allow the Youth to have much influence in the management and running

My old local one actually cancelled a gym brothers had going on there. There are lots of insecurities with the older lot. A lot of fear of losing power. It looks like Gurdwara funds are seen as some sort of entitlement by some families?

Veer ji it was Ramgarhia Gurdwara Neville Road.

Since this incident I have been going to either Barking Gurdwara or Roseberry. I rarely go to seven kings gurdwara as it's a bit far for my home area.
So many people have stopped going there now especially since the current management only open the gurdwara at certain hours. Plus the behaviour of the Langar servers is extremely bad.

Within 25ft knife is faster they say. I'll look it up. Usually there's some combination of open carry and concealed carry by permit. They have to have concealed carry of some kind.

    Agree with most of above
If a Guest wants to post, they should take the minimal effort required to register an account. @Dayalkauris a good example 🤣
You want a 'Men only' subsection to the site ?! 😆
Why would someone who is a member, post as a Guest unless they cannot access their account ? How strange ?!

Excellent point Paaji. During the times of Maharaaj, Gurudwaras were known as Dharamsaals (place where Dharamik education is taught).

Gyani jee could have used a better example in the video below, instead of using "Pagal". Anyways, we have to be careful that we do not engage in any sort of ninda, but also create awareness of Manmat at the same time.

Daas would humbly request admins/mods to look into the following recommendations, which have the potential to make this forum a better place for many:
    -  Ability to block all guests.
    -  When a person blocks someone, you can still see the blocked person's messages, if someone else quotes them. If something can be done about it, that would great. This would ensure, complete blockage of that person.
    -  If a registered member, posts as a guest, it must be mandatory for that person to state his/her id at the start of the message.
    -  Gender based discussions, where members of opposite sex or any guest are not permitted to enter. This will assist us in discussing some sensitive topics. Gurparsaad, Sri Charitropakhian Sahib jee will be discussed in details on this forum. It should turn out to be learning experience, rather than a fiasco.
    -  People who attack Gurbani, Sikh ethics and principles, maryada, Sikh masters, saints, warriors, etc, must be given strict warnings.

    The below might help too.

    Quote

When you get angry, say: I seek refuge in God from the accursed evil (A'oudhou billaahi min as shaytaan ir rajeem). The prophet (p.b.u.h.) ordered us to say thus.

When Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) got angry, he dragged her by the nose and said: " O dear Aaisha, say: O God, you are the Lord of my prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.), forgive my sins and remove the anger from my heart and save me from misguidance."

If anger does not go by this means, you will sit down if you are standing, lie down if you are sitting, and come near to earth, as you have been created of earth. Thus, make yourself calm like the earth. The cause of wrath is heat and its opposite is to lie down on the ground and to make the body calm and cool.

The prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: "Anger is a burning coal. Don't you see your eyebrows wide and eyes reddish? So when one of you feels angry, let him sit down if standing, and lie down if sitting."

If still anger does not stop, make ablution with cold water or take a bath, as fire cannot be extinguished without water.

The prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: "When one of you gets angry, let him make ablution with water as anger arises out of fire. "In another narration, he said: "Anger comes from the devil and the devil is made of fire."

Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "The prophet (p.b.u.h.) did not get angry for any action of the world. When any true matter charmed him, nobody knew it and nobody got up to take revenge for his anger. HE GOT ANGRY ONLY FOR TRUTH."
