The government structure is very similar to the Mughal administration but overall there is a Sikh ethos to it.

the prem sumarag Granth.  It’s also in English translation.  The last two chaperone talks about how to govern a Sikh state in great detail.

Does anyone know any good books that explain, in detail, Sikh politics?
Does anyone here have knowledge on Sikh politics, roles of the King, ministers, etc. in the kingdom, qualities of a good king, etc?
Has there been any writing on the subject?

You are right veer ji it truly is a waste of time as i remember reading in unditiya duniya by bhai sahib randhir singh khalsa that man made science has made man turn blind towards religion science which is the clear example these people are showing by believing in "science".

Veer ji these people don't know the power of a puran mahapush brahmgyani and the power of their bachans.

Just shows what kind of mindset these people have.

No point wasting your time with these 'scientists' veerji. These scientists just want to argue and not practice Sikhi.Looks like another young'un from SPN has escaped the asylum and is on a mission to "enlighten"us.
Again, look at their arrogance. As if Sant Ji is interested in convincing them. Those who get the message, they practice. Those who want to argue can go fly kites.

Hi Amitpal Singh aka Logical Sikh.So you decided to bless both Sikhsangat&Sikhawareness with your superior intellect and knowledge at the same time.
How's things at SPN?Does 'Harry Haller' still wants single Sikh girls to sleep around as much as they want with as many men as they wish?
What about all the other 'scientists' over there? All good?Karminder Singh Dhillon Phd(Boston) 2pm Amritvela working well for you?

tva prasad got a reaction from jaikaara in Status Of Devi/chandi In Sikh Theology?
Chandi is the jagatmata, the energy from which the universe was created. Durga is an expansion of chandi, she is present within all. She is the power or shakti of Akal Purakh. Chandi is merely one among her many names. She is the one that helps us move, think, grow, talk, etc. Lakshmi, Sarswati and Parvati are merely representations of her satto, rajo and tamo qualities, respectively. In reality, chandi is the feminine shakti form of Akal Purukh, hence they are the same. Many believe that Chandi di vaar, Shastar naam mala, etc. are about Durga, in reality guru ji is praising the divine shakti, as discussed above, that resides in Durga, Kali, shastar, astar, rakatbeej, etc. not just Durga alone.
Just like how Lakshmi is the personification of Vishnu ji's shakti, likewise Sarswati and parvati are of Brahma and Mahesh, respectively. Even so is Chandi/ Bhagauti/ Maya the personification of Vaheguru's Shakti. If you read chandi di vaar, it says "Khanda prithmai saaj kai, jin sai(n)saar oopaiya. Brahma bisan saaj(eh) kudrat da khel rachaa(ai) baNaa(ai)aa." This tells that at the beginning of the creation, Vaheguru created the Khanda (referring to Chandi, feminine Shakti form of Akal Purukh), from which shakti the trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh came into being. Now it makes sense that guru ji wrote such banis so that we could plead the mercy of Chandi so that she may reside in us and shastars so that we may gain victory on the field of battle. Those who are familiar with Chandi di Vaar may understand this, "taitho(n) hi bal raam l(ai) naal baNaa da(h)sir ghaa(ai)yaa, taitho(n) hi bal krisan l(ai) Kans kesi(n) paka(rh) giraa(ai)yaa." this is referring to the shakti of Akal Purukh, Chandi. Bal=shakti, hence Ram and Krishan also took shakti from Akal Purukh in order to defeat Ravan and Kans, respectively.
Even though no one can describe Chandi as she is beyond description, may this help in getting a vague idea of Jagatmata Chandika.

Very good advice, This method slows it down but it helps keep the concentration on breath and shabad jap stronger, since you recite one word with each breath with more thiaan.
I was advised many years ago to keep it consistent and uniform. As long as there are same amount of breaths and pauses in the same spaces.
Example..  ik oankaar=inhale. satnaam=exhale,  karta purkh=inhale  nirbah nirvair= exhale  and so on.
Some days I'd switch to a little faster with ik onkaar satnaam=inhale, karta purkh nirbhai nirvair= exhale,  akaal moorth ajooni saibhang= inhale , gurprasad jap=exhale  .. This was longer and slower breath but doing jap at the throat in a comfortable rhythm.
I deduce that mantar can only get pakkah if it's jap with some kind of set pattern, unless you're a blessed vadbhagee with immense kirpa coming your way.   I've heard people jap with erratic tempos, and I always doubt if it's bearing as much phaal as than if it were flowing in steady rhythm?

    1. First-
I recommend reading and working with instructions from the this post and reading from about pages 13 to 22. Some praiseworthy contributions from members like Sat1176 and Lucky veer ji's
    2. Second-
I have heard similar questions to that you queried on many occasions. You know, about shivers and pressure on forehead. I heard these since someone in family were high kamayee wala gurmukh. (I can't say who they were because sangat may have heard of them). Anyhow, I would say these kind of incidences which students experience at preliminary  stages usually confirm you possibly have naam kamayi from previous lives. Think of it as an indicator of potential inside  A spiritual potential.  Should be a good motivation to try and harness this spiritual force and direct it into an orderly flow.  Getting familiar and steady with techniques explained in those pages of thread will be beneficial.

    So, is this your opinion?
Why did you post this video - I looked briefly through it, and I had to search what 'incel' means "Incels are members of an online subculture who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one, a state they describe as inceldom. Self-identified incels are mostly white, male, and heterosexual."(wikipedia)

How do you know, Baba jee lied? It is possible that he might have received wrong information or the manuscript did exist at one point in time.
You might be aware that there was a stone near Jagannath mandir, which narrated the sakhi about first master's visit to the temple. It was destroyed by some idiots and now it does not exist. Similarly, there was also a tree which existed in a gurudwara. The tree was uprooted and it does not exist now.

Bro, did you hear the above from a scholar or a saint? Is it written in any book? If not, then I think, we should drop this idea. It it was true, some scholar or Brahamgyani would have mentioned it.

I don't think the beheading is under discussion here. It's about whther Guru Ji selected 5 from the sangat or whether 5 offered themselves. I cannot see 5 sikhs being selected in the formal manner that sikh khoj is presenting. This was supposed to be a test. If the selection was already made, it kind of negates that . Bhangu's words literally can be taken to assume that Guru Gobind Singh had selected 5 from the sangat but it just doesn't seem plausible.
I will have a look at Gurbilas 10 to see if Bhai Koer Singh has mentioned it.

My friend asked for a Dasam Granth Bir and he was told that no such bir existed, nor was there a Sarbloh Granth there from 1695 as some people have written on this forum earlier.

please notice how they use tape on the front.. its a shame that they use such an old bir as show off to sangat whereas it gets damaged

At the Boongah of the panj pyarai next to Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib, there are also handwritten Adi Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Dasam Sri Guru Granth Sahib Saroops prepared by Baba Daya Singh and Baba Dharam Singh. There is an illustration at the begining of the saroop that they did of maharaj.
