You should never slander anyone fullstop.  Whether in front of them or any other place.
You never know who is a saint anyway.  Someone might seem really different externally but inside by a saint.

Brother, SSGGSJ is the incarnation of the Almighty God, not a mere Saint. Maharaaj can convert hardcore evil men into Saints.

Important lesson to be learnt from the above - Never do ninda of a Saint, in front of another Saint, otherwise, one might end up in massive trouble. Even Satguru jee (Almighty God) might be unable to save that slanderer from a Saint's curse. Be very cautious with your words every time you talk (especially when in company of Saints).

Very good. These all seem like cultivating signs and you need to continue with this cultivation.
I'm afraid you wont get much guidance or help from nowadays gyanees, sants..etc.. especially the ones present in the public eye.     It's sad that they can't explain or advise on your encounters, and even more frustrating when they can't confirm what you may be trying to explain.   On the other hand, I can try confirm if I understand some underlying phenomena in line with my comprehending and gyaan.   I can give some guidance and pointers based on practical sikhi, but you have to remember that experiences are unique for all of us and can't be identical or they wouldn't be "experiences".  Therefore, please understand, it's only what I know and think!..... it's not concrete, and you shouldn't take it for granted.

Buzzing sounds and many other sounds are preliminary to Anhad.  Gradually increasing and changing is also a positive sign.   I can't say whether you are hearing anhad or not. I may be able to help you identify anhad using similar approach to what a gurmukh used when confirming my queries.(can only pm this)

That part is a little tricky because these things happen before you can even acknowledge them, and then our mind tries to get us to slow down so that it can try understand and take in what's happening,...but then this itself disturbs your dhyiaan, and you end up disconnecting.
It's not astral projection as such and don't go around reading too much stuff because this area is not described properly anywhere because there is a huge overlap of different types of phenomena. In practice, we are not interested in this astral projection that you may read about because it is mostly of lower frequencies and weighted down to the lower planes.
What we as Sikhs are interested in is "consciousness's expansion" .  To expand your consciousness and raise it's frequency so that the whole universal Gobind is pargat within your very self. - I'm not just talking play of words here,..because if you can take your focus within and inwards such that your mind's dhyian is nowhere outside your body (in thought and process),.. then you will find, the more you introspect and start concentrating your consciousness into a pinhole like dot. So tiny and like a point getting so microscopically small that you wanna feel your whole consciousness fully concentrated inside it,... then the whole ginormous universe will begin to reveal itself inside you!   ........Bhagat Pipa says...
    ਜੋ  ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡੇ  ਸੋਈ  ਪਿੰਡੇ  ਜੋ  ਖੋਜੈ  ਸੋ  ਪਾਵੈ  ॥
Jo barahmanḏe so▫ī pinde jo kẖojai so pāvai.
The One who pervades the Universe also dwells in the body; whoever seeks Him, finds Him there.
Pīpā paraṇvai param ṯaṯ hai saṯgur ho▫e lakẖāvai. ||2||3||
Peepaa prays, the Lord is the supreme essence; He reveals Himself through the True Guru. ||2||3||
(Who is the Satgur? ..and where is he? .... These answers should also start to reveal themselves in time)

    Guru Arjan dev ji says.......
    ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਬਾਸਿਬੋ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
    Merai man bāsibo gur gobinḏ.
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, dwells within my mind.

Very Good, just LISTEN. Listening to the sound is the key. Pictures are maya and divert thoughts and mind too easily. Ok at beginning stages as long as the sevak know not to get attached and learns to dissociate his consciousness once the murti/ picture has helped stabilise it.

Flashes, yes, but don't let them flash you!  Stay in sehaj, calm and go with natural effortless flow. Only effort should be the longing and urge of joining consciousness in union with Gobind.
Sunn is a stage of Samadhi.  I haven' had too much experience, so I can't really justify my explanaions, but you shouldn't get diverted in a belief that you are in this state of sunn. When consciousness or surti tries to rise and vibrate at higher levels but the body is not yet ready, then many people start passing out, or even getting thrown about from their inner energy eruptions, or they experience feelings of numbness and detachment from body. Again, not to be confused with sunn. Sunn samdhi is a state of super awareness whilst at the same time you are in a complete ''nothingness'.  That's what I understand and make of it, but I'm hoping that someday I can explain it much better with a stronger basis.
My guess is that it's your physical body trying to align itself for the atma to ascend..   We are MInd, body and soul.
As the nadis try and open at a faster rate than what our body is ready for. Then because the  body has had a lifetime of tampering and energy blockages,..we start to  experience these physical disruptions. It's like the subtle/sukham sareer being ready, but the physical sareer being a hindrance.
I recommend overall control in well-being, maintaining posture .etc. steps to keep energy flowing uniformly and balanced,... try some gentle yoga breathings, asanas  etc..

A very slight pulsation is felt at the navel because this is where it all begins. This is where the energy stimulates and pumps up as to awaken the kundalini below.
I personally recommend that you try the "rom rom" jugtees and simran techniques that are on the meditation thread. I reckon that once rom rom gets activated and nadis are all japping spontaneously without effort, then your sukham energies will flow much more freely. You should be able to get into deep meditation within seconds to minutes of sitting down.

Don't assume that all I've written is all you need to do and sikhi is about physical japna itself..  You won't actually progress until you start to learn(Sikh) about your own lessons in life.
Remember, you took birth to come and learn these lessons in this lifetime.  After so many janam-janam, this was to be the lifetime where you wanted to get the 1st hand darshan of akaal purakh. To wipe your paaps from janam-janam and to clean that slate so as to see the Lord's reflection..
    Bhagat Ravidaas says....

Bahuṯ janam bicẖẖure the māḏẖa▫o ih janam ṯumĥāre lekẖe.
For so many incarnations, I have been separated from You, Lord; I dedicate this life to You.
Kahi Raviḏās ās lag jīva▫o cẖir bẖa▫i▫o ḏarsan ḏekẖe. ||2||1||
Says Ravi Daas: placing my hopes in You, I live; it is so long since I have gazed upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. ||2||1||
These lessons, with events, encounters..etc. will begin to unfold once you start making spiritual progress.  It is different for everyone and it involves numerous stages of learning and gaining intuitive gyaan.
You should begin to get urges and thoughts to want to make changes in your jeevan jaach. You will want to do things or live in such simple ways that you would have never dreamed of previously. This is what you have to give attention and focus to and these will become the major steps towards realisation and hopefully, enlightenment.
You gotta really dig within and find yourself. Ive come across a few abyassees at simran camps that got too pre-occupied in the goal to open dasam duar and ignored the need for following hukam to change jeevan jach. (I've done this myself, so I know!)  ...You end up falling victim to ego.
Ego will continue to fool us until the very last steps. They say that the last of the dhoots that we completely strip off before merging in sachkhand is Ahankar.  So keeping doing reality checks and watching your own back for your own ego trying to play you. It is too smart and you have to imagine it as being the split personality of yourself.

Remembering Chaman Lal: A 90 Years Old Activist Who Died Awaiting Justice
Chaman Lal was a victim of human rights violations in Punjab.
His story goes back to 1993 when his elder son Gulshan (20) was arrested and killed in a false encounter by Punjab police on July 22 of the same year.   At that time, Chaman Lal was 70 and lived as a vegetable seller in Tarn Taran area.  Gulshan’s murder was one of the thousands extrajudicial murders carried out by the Punjab police under former Director General of Police (DGP) KP Gill during the 1990s.
Due to his efforts, an investigation of the case was carried out by the CBI.  Four years later after the murder of Gulshan, on February 28, 1997, the investigations resulted in indictments on murder charges for former DSP Dilbagh Singh, SHO Gurbachan Singh, ASI Davinder Singh, Balbir Singh and Arjan Singh. In the trial, the accused were found guilty of murder and were sentenced to life imprisonment. However, they succeeded in receiving bail after 2 years and are free now. Chaman Lal fought a long legal battle to bring the murderers of his son to justice but he could not succeed in his efforts despite struggling for over two decades.
Despite living in extremely poor conditions, Chaman Lal did not give up his stance.  Along with fighting a lengthy and costly legal battle, Chaman Lal remained an active human rights activist.  After his son’s death in 1993, Chaman Lal started attending seminars and protests for human rights.  He advocated equal rights for all beings in Punjab.  His last wish was to depose before the Court about enforced disappearance of his son but the Indian Court never recorded his testimony.
The case pertaining to enforced disappearance of Gulshan Kumar was probed by CBI and chargesheets against accused cops were filed in the trial.  The trial of the case couldn’t begin for more than a decade. Recently, the stay order in this case was lifted in April 2016 by the Supreme Court and hearing on the case was scheduled to July 2.  Unfortunately, Chaman Lal passed away a day before the hearing.
Chaman Lal was a living testament to the crimes committed by the Punjab police in the 1990s.
Chaman Lal with his younger son Parveen Kumar Chaman Lal’s last wish was for justice—to see his son’s murderers in prison.  During the course of the past two decades, the Punjab police tried every possible way to halt Chaman Lal’s quest for justice.  Along with giving threats to Chaman Lal and his family members, the police at one time also tried to negotiate with him by offering a bribe of Rs. 7.5 million.  This offer was rejected by Chaman Lal.  Despite being poor, he refused to sell his conscience.
“My last wish is to see the murderers of my son behind bars,” he told Sikh24 in an interview on March 17, 2016.
Chaman Lal told Sikh24 in a low voice that if he passes away during the trial of this case, his younger son Parveen Kumar, Senior Advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains, Advocate Jagdeep Singh Randhawa, and Harmandeep Singh Sarhali would look after the case.
Chaman Lal reiterated how the Punjab police abducted his son Gulshan on June 22, 1993.  Late at night, DSP Dilbagh Singh and SHO Gurbachan Singh entered his home forcefully.  All males were beaten mercilessly by the police as they asked them to confess a theft.  Later, hearing screams from the house, other villagers rushed to provide assistance.  At this point, the police took away Chaman Lal and his sons to the police station.
“They tried to take my daughter along to the police station as well, but the villagers intervened.  We faced much torture at the police station which I cannot even describe,” he said.
The torture left Gulshan unable to walk.  After three days, while others were released, the police kept Gulshan in custody.  Police later asked for a bribe of Rs. 200,000 in return of his son, however, being a poor vegetable seller, Chaman Lal could not afford to pay this sum.  Just within days, Gulshan’s physical condition deteriorated and he could not sit or even swallow food.  He was later declared a militant and executed on July 22, 1993 in a fake encounter.
The case of Gulshan’s death was not an isolated incident.  Thousands of such murders were carried out in cold blood by the Punjab police to invoke animosity between Sikh and Hindu communities.  While Sikh youth were eliminated in large numbers, a large number of Hindu families were also affected as their family members were killed to put blame on Sikh organizations.  Jaswant Singh Khalra, a human rights advocate, had document 25,000 such extra-judicial murders in Punjab.  He was also abducted and later killed in a false police encounter in 1995.

From a practical point of view, it is unrealistic to believe that a group of people found every SGGS in India and added Raagmala.
in the summer of 2000 I was travelling through India and went to Madhya Pardesh. A mahapursh told me of the sangat at the city of Burhanpur. The people of this city are not Punjabi. They become Sikhs when Guru Nanak Dev ji visited. When Guru Gobind Singh ji was travelling towards South India they reached Burhanpur and was welcomed by the Nanakpanthi. Maharaj stayed there for a number of days and the Sikhs took Amrit. SGGS was left with the Sikhs. The SGGS was completed at Agra (im sure this is recorded by Dr. Ganda Singh. The SGGS is signed by Guru Gobind Singh. Raagmala is in this saroop.
The people of Burhanpur have no link with the Sikhs of Punjab. How would some person get to the middle of India, find this small group of Sikhs and manage to convince them to add Raagmala in. Its absurd. There is handwritten saroops in South Uttar Pardesh, in Nizamabad, Varanasi etc, all these old saroops have Raagmala in them. Practically its absurd how a band or people (or person) managed to get to all these places, find all the saroops, convince the Sikhs that Guru ji forgot to add Raagmala and then added Raagmala into the saroops.

And you think that writing cannot be manipulated? Did you know that in Sri gur partap Suraj Granth there is no mention of giving Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji getting the gur gaddi. Go ahead and try to find it but you won't. There is a Sri gur partap Suraj Granth in I think it's Nepal or someplace like that sant hari Singh randhawa vale knows where. In that Granth there is writings about giving gaadi to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Sri gur partaap Suraj Granth also didn't write about giving Amrit to bibi's so do you believe that as well?
Did you know that kavi Ji had 4 writers helping him with Sri gur partap Suraj Granth. They were supplied by the raja of I think was it nabha or patiala and those writers were corrupted by the British. In Sri gur partap Suraj Granth there are writings that write guru Ji had earings and did opium etc. These type of things were written by the 4 writers who were helping kavi Ji. So was the Raag Mala thing. I have gotten this info from true mahapurkhs who I met who have seen visions.
Another thing that proves that kavi Ji does believe in Raag Mala. Kavi Ji was a student of head granthi of harimander sahib and jathedar of Damdami Taksal Gyani Sant Singh Ji. Now you tell me would gyani sant Singh teach kavi Ji Raag Mala is not gurbani and then teach his successor that it is gurbani?
Regarding bhai randhir Singh I respect him cause in taksali books and I think it was in sant gyani kartar Singh Ji bhindranvale's book that said bhai sahib later on did start believing in Raag Mala like how bhai vir Singh later on started believing in Raag Mala. I know no akj will believe me but I trust the taksal and Sants who did write it.
I bet you won't believe anything I write here I'm just writing what I have learnt, read, and heard in my life.

tva prasad reacted to paapiman in How to Spot a Liar?
    Quote
With this background, here are the 9 basic rating scales from the PBCAT that will allow you to detect when you're being told a lie:
Leaves out sensory details. A liar skips many of the little flourishes that embellish stories told by honest people. These are harder to keep straight later, so he or she just leaves them out. Someone telling the truth might mention what music was playing in the background or what color the flowers on the table were. A liar will try to be as incomplete as possible on details, including time, because these are difficult to construct and then keep consistent to in later renditions of the story. Admits frequently to faulty memory. People telling the truth don’t have that much trouble remembering a true event, situation, or occurrence. They lived it, so it comes pretty easily to them. Liars, however, will give themselves the “excuse” of having a poor memory when, in reality, it’s only the lies they’re having trouble recalling. Makes spontaneous corrections. Because liars have to backtrack so much, they will edit heavily their stories: “Her name was Lily, no it was Lisa, wait, maybe it was Linda.” You don’t have to keep an exact count of how many of these occur in a person’s speech, but if they happen often enough for you to notice, the individual is probably covering something up. Keeps it short and vague. The longer, more complete, and spelled out a story is, the more likely it is to be true. Again, telling a lie or a string of lies takes more effort because it means that you have to create an entire scenario out of your head. Brevity may be “the soul of wit,” but it’s also the soul of a lie. Doesn't make sense and is full of contradictions. By now, if you’re catching on, it should be clear that a true story will hang together better than a string of lies. Returning to the case of the shirt, it’s quite likely that clothing from a more expensive store will look more expensive. If what you’re seeing doesn’t fit with what you know to be the case, it’s very likely that you’re not being told the truth. Seems to be thinking hard. If your speaker seems to be unsure or, worse, to be putting a great deal of effort into coming up with a plausible account of events, this is a cue that the his or her cognitive load is mounting. Obviously people telling the truth may have difficulty remembering past events, but especially if an event wasn’t that long ago, and was of some significance, they should not seem to be sweating over every sentence they relate. If you ask your partner how his or her last relationship ended, that person should be reasonably sure. As time goes on, a partner who's lied about that breakup will have to work even harder to keep the details consistent with other things you learn about that past relationship. Is nervous, tense, and fidgety. It takes a great liar to be able to pull off a string of falsehoods without looking at least a little anxious. (In fact, that’s one of the cues to suggest that someone might be a psychopath.) Someone telling the truth will seem relaxed—maybe not happy, but at least not especially uncomfortable, assuming the story they're telling isn’t a painful one. Makes few complaints or negative comments. This seems counterintuitive, but it makes sense that someone trying to create a good impression would want to be positive. People high in the desire to impress others try to cover up their own negative reactions so you’ll like them (and believe them). Talks unusually slowly. The speech of a truth-teller is reasonably normal, but people who are lying tend to take quite a bit longer as they self-edit, try to be consistent, and leave out negative commentaries. We hear about “fast-talking salespersons,” but rather than lying specifically, those characters may simply be trying to confuse you. Besides, a salesperson may be able to talk quickly when reciting a well-rehearsed lie, but a lying lover will probably proceed with greater caution in retelling fictional tales of his or her past. True Story of an Amritdhari Sikh who experienced a Miracle with the Power of Ardaas!
Amritpal Singh is a born-Kenyan-African-Sikh, and who experienced a miracle at Gurudwara Sahib Kericho. As a young child he never had any teeth. One morning at Amritvela he did an Ardaas in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, asking for teeth as the other children used to laugh and mock him. With Guru Sahib’s Grace, his body froze like a rock as he lay on the floor in front of Guru Sahib. Knowing something mystical was happening, the Giani Jee asked the few people sitting in the Darbaar Sahib to leave, and closed the doors.
Only Amritpal and Guru Granth Sahib were left in the Darbaar Sahib. After an hour or so he got up from the floor. When the Sangat and Giani Jee entered the Darbaar Sahib again they discovered that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee had performed a miracle by blessing Amritpal Singh with a full set of beautiful teeth!
This is a true account that we have verified with Amritpal Singh who lives in Kisumu, Kenya. He is pictured here from a Sikh Youth Gurmat Camp held in Kericho in 2007 when he was 15 years old. He lives the life of an Amritdhari Sikh.

tva prasad reacted to paramnam in How to reduce sleep??? 0_0
I have been wondering about this too and am really trying to reduce sleep. ill share random points that i have heard of and/or experienced.
I had a nutrition teacher who's colleague would do 8 hours of chi gung each night and didnt sleep at all.
    Cold showers help a lot!
I definitely find reading more bani helps reduce sleep but i dont think we can force it i think reducing sleep has to happen naturally. wake up when you can for amrit vela and really really fall in love to quiet the mind, I find if i slow the breath it can help. I might do a big inhale and do a full exhale reciting banis or mul mantar etc.
Some people may not agree and thats fine but i used to do 30 minutes of breth of fire and i had tons of energy. I have read carbon dioxide in the body can cause tiredness so super oxygenating the blood can help that.
Sometimes i will wake up at 2am and do my practices until 6 or 7 and sleep for however long i can 30 minutes up to 2 hours depending on my schedule. I find that sleeping after long practices puts you quickly into a very deep refreshing sleep even if it is only 30 minutes.
At one time i was reading japji 10 times a day and that seems to make up for sleep, tiredness was taken away for sure. but getting up for that has always been the hard part
Moving the body helps too, some stretching, moving lymph fluids

Seems the best thing is to do it keep adding more bani/simran when you can, the mind becomes more subtle and less sleep is needed. between 10pm and 2am is apparently the best time to sleep. I had a yoga teacher in the past also say that each hour slept before 12am is equivalent to 2 hours after 12am.
Yogi bhajan would say go to sleep as if you are taking a nap. he only slept a couple hours if that each night and was perfectly consistant with his amrit vela practice from what i have heard. He read lots of bani also.

my goal is to work out only sleeping a couple of hours a night, i am very far from that but would love to be able to do that haha

I try to concentrate on naam dhun, however in those loud buzzing sounds it becomes hard. Duration of those buzzing sounds is gradually increasing over days.

From my personal experience: I have gone through similar "impatience" zone and found out that impatience does not let us move forward spiritually. Thinking of dasam duar or any other spiritual achievement while meditating will be an impediment. Only and only way to reach our destination is by trying to concentrate in "Naam Dhun". For motivation, read gurbani (preferably with arths) and keep doing benti to Guru Sahib. Remember, Amrit Vela, Naam Simran, Gurbani Vichar, Sewa..we can't get them on our own will, they are gift from our Guru Sahib (Gur Parsad) so benti is very veryyyyy important.
    Waheguru ji, Good Luck.

since the past week or so my navel has been throbbing. It goes up and down. It's more intense after meditation. Would anyone care to explain the reason for this occurring? Thanx
