Only hinduised Sikh families used to have this tradition but even now even in strict Sikh families this tradition is started.Out of my 6 cousin sisters not even a single one is married to Sikh and there is hardly any hope from younger ones.On the other hand in my Dad's generation not even a single cousin of my mother or father was married to Hindu



There are millions of Hindu's who have faith in Sikh Gurdwara's but how many of them wear Khanda?



People have different personal experiances .I was discussing this Topic with my younger brother who is working in very prominent MNC as software engineer and he just laughed.He in his entire college life of Haryana and Noida and now in work place never ever a faced a slightest bit of discrimination of being a Sikh.Infact all his very good friends are Hindu's



What make your cousin think that We are slaves here? Sikhs are one of the richest community of Delhi ,Is it possible that a slave community become one of the richest?



Well I have heard this type of Anti Sikh mentality from some of my relatives but personally I have never faced it

Whether they are afraid is different matter ,what the matter is what was their intention.As I said D company (if you know what i mean) was very powerful a deal with them or any other organisation could had done the job.

As Jaikara said ,were/are they really interested in justice or they just wanted this issue to be kept alive so they run their shops .

Economic relations with Arabs are dangerous for BJP. BJP's politics work on hatred of muslims and if muslims get in trouble Islamic nations will come to rescue them. Recently OIC interferes in India when There was some violence on Ram Navmi . Last year BJP had to throw out Nupur Sharma when she said against Mohammed. 

In India 3 times the number of married men commit suicide than the number of married women.Still there is hardly any support for them.majority of them do it out
of harrassment from their wives.Should it be a justified reason for their men relatives to hate women.
The worst thing about sanghera is that some sikh sites,blogs portray her as heroine of sikh community.

When secularism is not possible when they are in majority then it is not possible at all.How could one community shout about minority rights when they are in minority but when they reach majority,they say that
they don't beleive in secularism.Also as I said above
birth rate of muslims is quite high so other religions will always feel threatened with them and their communal feelings will arise

GOI already admitted that for every 1 rupee they spend on poor people only 10 paise actually reach to people
so Its true that there is widespread corruption but still something reaches to people.so the lesser the military budget the more money will reach to people.



I exactly don't know what are plans for slums but as I mentioned slums are products of industry and with widepspread poverty in India people will continue to move to cities where there is work and will create more slums.so only solution is start some development in most backward areas O/W slums will remain in all cities of India



I do agree that countries do need a strong military but best thing is they should have technology to develop their own weapons and not to import billions of Dollars weapons.Seriously a lot of money is spent on waste things like purchasing an old Russian warship Gorshkov which cost India billions of $.Also my point of view is not limited to India only.What I am saying is that a very large amount is spent on these scientifically advanced weapons by undeveloped and developing countries and Direct benefit of this goes to USA ,Russia and european countries.Seriously if Tomorrow USA Give 100 of these type of Robots to Pakistan as a Gift then India have no option but also to purchase robots or their anti technology .Then pakistan will move another step will purchase more robots .so in long run who will win this rat race ,no one Only America and their allies will benefit from all this

It is because of these slums movie and other industry get cheap workers Just shift either of one industry/slums and the other will automatically shift itself.
Cheap labour and exploitation of workers is one of the main reason of huge economic success of China.



I don't think India have the technology.India still cannot produce its fighter jets and they are placing their billion of $ contact to import jets

The new technology,science only helps developed countries mainly USA.Look at the defence budget of countries like India they are in thousand billions.The cost of maintaining jets,missiles is huge.
On the other hand poor people of india are suffering because Government Don't have funds.so what's the point of these new technologies which make people suffer and die indirectly

Sikh Girls in Urban India are already marrying Hindu's at crazy rate.Moreover After marriage non of the girls try to raise its family as sikh.In Some cases which I heard recently they force their parents to find a Hindu husband for them.So many Sikh Girls are already a gone case.If they marry Hindu or Muslim it does not matter to sikh community as in both cases they are lost for quam.

I think we should make difference between Iraq and Afghanistan.Iraq was/is a pure victim of american
supremacy.But presence of allied forces is a must for

LONDON: The riots in England claimed South Asian victims on Wednesday when three young men of Pakistani origin were killed in a "deliberate" hit-and-run incident in the country's second biggest city of Birmingham. While retailers of Indian origin were attacked in Birmingham, in the west London suburb of Southall, home to a large number of Sikh migrants, scores of men armed with swords and hockey sticks guarded their gurdwaras through the night. One of them said: "We'll take the law into our hands, bad luck."

Although an uneasy calm returned to London, looting and arson continued in other English cities. A number of Indians suffered when their shops and properties were damaged by violent young men roaming the streets.

An angry crowd of Pakistani residents gathered outside a Birmingham hospital where the victims were taken in a bid to save their lives. Suspecting that the three men were intentionally run over and killed, the police ordered a homicide probe into the deaths. A 35-year-old man was arrested and a vehicle seized.

It is believed that the three men were protecting a mosque from hooligans who went on a looting spree in the central parts of the city.

A police spokesman said: "West Midlands police have launched a murder inquiry and arrested a man. They have recovered a vehicle which will be examined by forensics experts."

Two of the victims were identified as Shahzad and Harry Hussain. They breathed their last at the hospital soon after being admitted at 1.15 am. A third man, who was also in critical condition, was pronounced dead five hours later. According to the Birmingham Mail newspaper, the deceased had confronted the troublemakers.

Indian retailers were targeted in Birmingham. Dhillon Catering, an enterprise owned by a Sikh family, was broken into by rioters. Its delivery van was set on fire. A family of Indian origin was rendered homeless after their house was gutted by arsonists at Croydon in south London. A woman and her son lost everything except their mobile phones. In Leicester, which has a high concentration of people of Indian descent, shops and restaurants were attacked, windows smashed. Two businesses run by Indians were looted.

Among those keeping vigil at Southall gurdwaras were elderly Sikhs - some in their 80s. Reports suggested that every gurdwara in Southall was protected by around 200 men. A large number of Sikhs came out on the streets with sticks and metal bars in West Bromwich to save their place of worship from rioters. Devotees at one of the largest Sikh temples in London's Havelock Road telephoned young people for help.

Across the country, the police arrested around 1,200 people, including 800 in London, since the violence broke out on Saturday. London courts worked through the night to process all those charged.

Prime Minister David Cameron said on Wednesday that Britain will not let a "culture of fear" take over its streets. In a televised statement, he said: "We will do whatever is necessary to restore law and order." He said that the police have drawn up contingency plans to use water cannon, commonly used in Northern Ireland but never deployed in mainland Britain.

On Tuesday, thousands of extra police officers kept a nervous London quiet after three nights of riots but looting flared in Manchester and Birmingham. In Nottingham, arsonists lobbed firebombs through the window of a police station. They set fire to a school and a vehicle. In Liverpool, about 200 young men hurled missiles at policemen and firefighters.

Among the arrests for misuse of social networking sites were two 18-year-olds in Kent, adjoining London, a 19-year-old woman in Wakefield, in the northern county of Yorkshire, and a 16-year-old boy in Glasgow in Scotland. Cameron promised more arrests as police scanned CCTV evidence. "Picture by picture, the criminals are being identified and arrested," he said.

I am not sure about your stride theory . Yohan Blake is barely 5-11 and he can easily out run 6-6 and 7 feet guys. he has even defeated Osain bolt who is 6-5 . And yes Military always prefer fitter stronger taller faster  guys especially in area And for Soldier level they give extra points if you run faster so not sure they just want to test VO2 max

LOL You are calling Pulsar fudu.Bullet just give mileage of 20-25 while Pulsar 150 giver around 50.Only people which have pockets filled with black money can drive bullet type bikes.may be in some area there may have been more bullets but most of the time you see a Sikh with either Pulsar or any other bike on the roads of delhi

Yes it is no longer profitable as it was earlier but I am talking about driving them as Sikhs earlier used to do.A bus truck driver can make 15,000-20,000 per month easily.If uneducated youths of Punjab want to make money in India then it is one of the way.Afterall Sikhs we need large scale employment not a handful of owners of company.



It is not a new trend it started 15 years ago.We already did it then and as a result combined property of our joint family is now 25% what it should have been.And I know Sikhs are in builder business if more have joined it then it is good

Religion is something that is at backburner for most of the urban Indian youths.Majority of youths are just materialistic and want to earn more and more money.Though many times casual jokes of 12 o clock could be thrown at them but again many communities have greivances like Bihari's North eastern people south indians but in today's urban environment sikhs cannot say that they are facing some huge discrimination or something like that.Infact Sikhs are seen as lala,bania type of community because they are among the richest here and own big businesses.

I also live in NCR Gol dastars bullet bikes what type of sikhs are you talking about?Many sikh youths nowadays don't even wear turban but just tie a pony tail or joora behind others just wear patka.Pulsar is the most favoured bike of the Youth because it give much better mileage compared to bullet

As far Hindu's openly badmouthing sardars are concerned I have never faced anything like that.also my brother studied in colleges of haryana and uttar pradesh and he was one of most dominating person in his class with all the hindu friends and is now working in Software company.He never said anything about discrimination or bad words
.Bihari's North easterners face much more discrimination than sardars.

Good question.One of the biggest fear of Sikhs always was that Sikhism will assimilate in HInduism which we are now seeing becoming true.Also Arya Samaj and some other Punjabi Hindu organisations alienated Sikhs from Hindu's then whatever promised to Sikhs after Partition was not given to them.After that in 80s we all know what happened ,i think these are the reasons that made some Sikhs hinduphobic.

The answer is Hindu's neither hate sikhs nor they love them a very large majority probably 800 millions have no idea who are Sikhs?My brother who studied in the NCR college which is uttar pradesh tried to convince his friends That sikhs are not Hindu's but most of them just believe that Sikhs are just an extended bramch of Hindu Punjabi's.They see singers like harvinder singh lakha singh mata bhajan and plenty of Hindu-sikh marriage Relations plus TV serials and Films which mold their mentality that Sikhs are just Punjabi's.My brother even told me that they hardly diffrentiate between sardarni and punjabi hindu girl.

As a 8 year old boy I too spent 1 year in outkirts of calcutta and not even a single bengali hindu neighbour has any Idea who the Sikhs are even though at that time conflict of Khalistan was it at its peak

O.K. in Britain Sikhs have good representation and they can do what is best to safeguard their interest
but what about other parts of Europe and world.Already in Australia the worst sufferer among Indian student attacks were sikhs
