Khalsa Aid if it's accounts are anything to go by, is hoarding over a million pounds, and if its charity work is anything to go by, is not interested in the Sikhs or Panjab by any noticeable margin.
Otherwise Gurdwaras are holding a lot of money but seem to be fixated on bricks and mortar development rather than anything else.

In the UK, some people tried to set up a UK Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. Unfortunately it morphed into the Sikh Council, which quite frankly was disappointing.

My parents generation certainly are. They don't really have a clue these days. But with our generation when the time comes, we will be better at organising and such.

Do you think that maybe we need to add political power to that as well? Sikhs in the UK are considered quite educated and financially strong, but we don't seem to get much else done here.

Being a spectator doesn't means that his views are endorsed.  Who is Giani Inderjit Singh? The one from Raqba?

I would agree that Baba SantaSingh was a highly educated in Gurmat.

singh sabhias are no jainis bro. they have no probs with meat, as per Akal Takht Sahib resolution.

But you're right about our demonisation by our brahman sikh types, (inc my rents) who think that anyone is who isnt veg is going straight to hell.

Have any of you heard of the Jhatka Convention held by the Singh Sabha in the 1940s?

ISnt every Sikh a soldier of the Guru? Do you have to holding a weapon to be a soldier?

See for me Khalsa is a saint-soldier or the combination of all 4 castes, and as such there is no need to say that I as a Khalsa only need to uphold the Brahman(Saintly) or Kshatriya(Warrior) lifestyle. There is no need to limit yourself to the ancient practise of one Varan.

Should this eating in restaurants shops etc include non-veg food as well, cos those preparing the food could be users of tobacco etc, and you would not know this when eating in their restaurant, veg or non-veg food.

Did Guru Nanak ask the prince how he killed the deer befor etaking it to make Mahaprasad at Kurukshetra?

have watched the video, but whoever makes these videos needs to get the Nihangs to introduce themselves, name, rank and shouni to make it more authentic. This could be passed off as just some random guys. Make it more official.

Im not sure they want to be known for the warrior rep. i dont think the americans give a yeeeha about sikh military prowess. Sikhs in the USA(like most of the world) want to work hard, get money and live good.

Bhagwant Maan was a very good comedian of his time though, so he some talent lol. He has given up comedy a long time ago though. Possibly 20 years.

For Sikhs/Sikhi hopefully it will be a neutral rule. Congress and BJP wants to destroy Sikhs, Akali Dal Badal are destroying Sikhs in the grab of being its protectors.
For AAP, I think they will be neutral, neither causing any harm to Sikhs, but most definitely not supporting any aspirations of autonomy for Panjab as per pre-partition pledges.
I am personally hoping that Sikhs of Panjab will ask two cases to be re-opened under Maan's CM-ship  -

    1. the murder of Jaswant Singh Khalra by Panjab Police
    2. the murder of Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kounke by Panjab Police

Neither Amarinder Singh or Badal did anything about these two murders whilst they were in power. Badal promised to hold an inquest in Kounke's case but then reneged on that once he became CM.

I think Sikhs should be glad that both frankenstiens are gone and at least give Maan some time to see where he tries to take Panjab. I hope that Maan sees that democracy has taken him to the chair of CM and that he also doen't use force to silence the freedom of speech that democracy gives when it comes to Sikhs of Panjab.

This secular rule is what nehru purported to uphold in india whilst acting against the Sikhs all the time. He only lightened up after the bravery and sacrifice of the Sikhs during the Indo-China war. This secularism is nothing but a hoax in this indian state. I hope that Bhagwant Maan's vision of secular is actually secular.
