Both are part of it and both are important.
You are making one look worse than the other through your words. So half the things that you should be doing, you are avoiding. Thus I imagine you are only getting half the benefit from Gurmati.
God has no symbols but also has many symbols, pick a few and stick to them. Pick the images and symbols which appeal to you. Whether it be chakradhar, sharangdhar, kalgidhar, aswadhar, topidhar. ;)
Be Nehkaram while performing karam, choose the right action, moral action, action that leads to results. Do actions together as a community even as simple as e.g. putting Guru Granth Sahib to sleep, so that your consciousness may be united.
Dhyan lagao also pay others to do so Ragis, Pandits, etc. It is important that people earn a living through this and others will get to hear them sing Lord's praises. It is also important to meditate yourself and become receptive to Divine being.
Do not expect miracles but do not be too skeptical and reject or dismiss any miracles. Have faith in God, but miracles also strengthen faith. So believe in that too. They do happen.
Transcend all tribes but be part of one. Everyone needs a tribe. Be part of a tribe, and contribute to it. However big or small that tribe is. Full khalsa or simply a sect hidden somewhere, be a part of it. Do not slander other tribes.

Yog (enlightenment) through Gyan (knowledge)/ Karm (action)/ Bhakti (devotion)/ Raj(meditation)... all are important.

Finished 10 days Vipasna meditation - was the most profound spiritual experience of my life - almost reborn. Vipasna is a scientific way to live joyfully and happily regardless of your worldly circumstances and make others around you happy as well while helping you overcome the endless cycle of rebirths.
    Things I learnt
    1. Nothing ever goes wrong - nothing has ever gone wrong and nothing ever will , therefore never regret your past or be in dilemma for the future - any choice you make will be the right choice . The forces of nature that run the planet are beyond human intelligence and nothing ever happens randomly. The fact that you are the doer/decision maker is an illusion which causes immense suffering to yourself and others around you.
Hukmai andar sabko bahar hukam na koye ||

    2. Everything is impermanent - whatever good or bad times you are having will not last , so experience them as a witness rather than a consumer for example if you are feeling angry - say to yourself the reality of the moment is that my body is experiencing anger - watch your breath , heart rate etc .Or If you are having financial or health problems - say to yourself this will pass too , and same goes for good times , make the most of them while they are coz they would be gone too.
Kis nal keejai dosti sab jag chalanhar ||

    3. Illusion of eternity - unfortunately we are conditioned to live our life as immortals - if I look back my 40 years of life seem like 40 seconds and I am not sure how many more 'seconds' are left , so why associate with this body and obsess with its future. Every new year take a moment to ponder about the last new year eve and it will seem like only yesterday.

    4. Hate no one - Just as you are not the doer, so are not the other people which means if someone said or did something unfair to you , that action was caused by a force that is beyond this person's control so no point holding them responsible and causing yourself hatred and anger.
Manda kis noo aakhiye je dooja hoye
    5. Others before self - It brings way more joy to give something you cherish to someone who is in dire need than keeping it to yourself. I have decided to dedicate my life for the welfare of others. This automatically makes the 'I' in my very petty as its now just an end to a mean while before it meant the world to me.
     Mithya tan nahi parupkaari
    6. Life obsessed with 'making it' is sure to bring misery - I am myself implicated in this as my attempts to becoming a software entrepreneur was causing me - lack of sleep , stress , excessive thinking - limit your material needs and you will find how little it takes to be happy.
    Kacha dhan sanchai murakh gavar
Bikhyia ka dhan sada dukh hoye | Na saath jaaye na paraapat hoye.
    7. Spend time in nature - watch the birds fly , feel the breeze on your body this is where you came from and what you will eventually merge into - feel the perfection in the apparent randomness .  "Kudrat hai keemat nahi paaye "
    8. Treat every day as your last - first thing when you get up in morning say to yourself with conviction this might very well be the last day of my life - I must make the most of it for myself and do something good for others .

Hanuman Ji was one Ram Bhagat, whoRam Chander never took with him when he left. Don't know why as Shri Ram took the whole city with him as per Dasam Granth. My vidya Guru told me that Hanuman was give the task or remaining in Sri Lanka to keep some deeva burning. He had been there for yugs until Guru Nanak Sahib went to Sri Lanka, and there Guru Sahib fulfilled Hanuman's wish that he be allowed to go to Sachkhand. There Guru Sahib also gave Hanuman darshan in the roop of Shri Ram Chander.

Eugh, another BBC programme about Partition and another chance to drag out the same old hashed out story of Sikh patriarchs killing their daughters who would have preffered to be raped, tortured and forced to produce more terror tots than die with dignity according to the BBC. I think we need to write letters to the BBC letting them know that even though cuckoldry is common amongst Englishman (and Sunny Hundal) not everyone would enjoy watching their daughters get gang-raped by random men, even though this is something that is a cornerstone of English culture. Surely the British sense of tolerance that we hear so much about could stretch to accomodate those of us who dont indulge in that sort of thing?
If you believed the BBC you'd end up believing that Muslims killed no one and the Sikhs were responsible for all the violence - including killing their own. Outside of BBC-La-La-Land we all knew that Britain gave Jinah the nod to go ahead and when it didnt work Montbatten tried to getting the RAF to carpet bomb Sikh towns and villages. When the RAF couldnt do it he wanted the British Army to force Sikhs onto cattle trains and deport them to central India. Seeing as the British forces were having a hard enough time in Amritsar even with tanks against civilians the plan was dropped. No wonder the Irgun over in Palestine hung as many Brits as they could get their hands on.
As for Anita Rai crying over the women not having a say, it's not like they had a lot of good options anyway. I'm surprised Nihal hasnt done a radio show about with a phone in to capitalise on slagging off Sikhs.

The hallmark of a true warrior is he who recognises Katcha and Paka (Chatka) Hath . Meaning the Katcheh Gatkabaj by not appreciating Katch Paka . Go for strikes which are Katcheh and thus stand a good chance getting themselves killed . By not appreciating Katch and Paka they can not properly anticipate (Tar) correctly an opponents intentions . Thus they become defensively weak . Both the warriors know the duel can only end in one of their deaths . Chatka Gatka can only be done with the mind fully focused on Kal meaning death meaning Chatka meaning Nishchet Jeet meaning a complete victory . Thus unlike in Jahir Kach Gatka in Chatkabaji when indulging in challenges (Mukablas ) , Chatka Gatka can not be play fully shown . It can only be done

Talking about such cuts Bhai Ratan Singh Bhangu in Prachin Panth Prkash says ; ‘Cham mas Shashter lgeh toh Singh maneh nahen . Hadh lgeh tbh bal ghteh tbh Singh kshuk thkaeh-n .’ If weapons hit skin and flesh Singhs ignore them . Only when weapons cut down to bones then are they weakened and they feel some tiredness .
Although Kacheh Hath are initially on whole harmless but in time they can fester up and prove fatal . This was one reason , to suppress the niggling discomfort of such Katcheh Haths that the Guru’s and Nihang Sikhs of old took Sukha and other drugs . Again it must be pointed out in a fight many times an opportunity for Chatka best presents it self only when the opponent is engaged in delivering a Katch Hath or when he is engegaded in a Paka Hath wich you then cancel out with your Pentra . For when you are in hitting range it is also then that you are also within the range of getting hit your self . Thus when a Chatkabaj fights many times he can only open up a opponent by offering up his body or part of it as bait to the opponent

I would recommend the shastar vidiya akhara on a tuesday in shepards bush. However there is something called the 'art of elusive fighting', I have seen videos of them sparing but have never been to the class...However I read on their facebook it is a mix of old and new martial arts so assuming he has incorporated certain things from shastar vidiya with other elements, you can contact them through their facebook page.

This is why we have been blessed in Sikhism by:
10 Physical Satgurus, who each had all possible virtues in them, but some prominent features were displayed in each manifestation Three Different Granths (Sri Ad Guru, Sri Dasam and Sri Sarabloh) Gurbani - which has multiple interpretations/levels which correspond to a wide range of human spiritual levels/instincts Various Sampradas, which specialize in different aspects of the spirituality Different ways to praise Almighty Waheguru - Katha, Kirtan, Mantar Jaap, Naam Simran, Dhadi Vaaran, Kavi darbar, etc. Different types of Paath - Sri Akhand Path, Sri Sampat Path, Sri Sehaj Path, etc Different Raags in Gurbani, which satisfy varying human tastes

    You are both wrong!

Feast your eyes upon the eternity that is the present moment!
Shiv and Shakti both arise out of Mahakal, the supreme Time.  Both consciousness and Energy, Shiv and Shakti, are merely arising and falling in Kaal, boundless Father Time! They both arise in the present moment. Mahakal hai Pita Apara. In his body, exists countless consciousnesses, countless forms of energy.

Kaal consumes conscious, energy-filled entities for breakfast. Thus Time is ultimately real. All else is false. Time alone is Timeless.
None can escape the jaws of Mahakal!

    Get wrecked

What if the world you knew was not what you were told it was. What if your senses were more right than you were told were wrong. What if the universe you live in isnt as big as you were told it was and was only a theory. This idea might be laughable but on the flip side you may start to think that there is an actual God and theories like Big Bang, Evolution might be false and other types of inteligent life forms are something which were talked about in myths and folk tales.
What if a model was created and then from this model came a science which is only relates to the model created, to prove that the model was a fact and not fiction. How different would you view the world?

Spirituality of Navratri (9 nights) and Dassehra (10th Day)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
The journey starts at night which represents the Agianta(ignorance) since the soul comes into this illusionary world of maya by obtaining a body and gets stuck in time and space due to the ignorance. Think of the Body as a cave. The nine nights represent the 9 holes/doors in the body thru which the soul experiences the world of Maya/Illusion. These nine doors are the 9 orifices or the doors that open to the outside world namely (2 eyes, 2 nostrils, 2 ears, 1mouth, and 2 below the belt= total of 9). The transaction/attachment thru these 9 holes keeps us bondage to the ignorance/agianta.
Dassehra is celebrated during the day to represent the light, wisdom, victory over ignorance. The 10th door/hole (also known as the dassam dwaar, Guru-dwaar, Hari-dwaar, also mentioned by Jesus as-knock and the door will open, 3ed eye, the pineal gland) is located above the other nine holes and is closed to the outer world.
During this journey of 10 days, the meditation is done to transcend/detach these 9 doors and celebrate the opening of the 10th door with the light of the Ultimate Creative Energy. This can only happen because of HIS grace, not because of the meditation alone.
May this celebration be of your soul to transcend the 9 doors of ignorance and fruit of opening of the 10th door/wisdom.
