charan kamal is when you experience the blossoming of guru's charan. It is an experience that occurs when one first begins to actually samao in the anhad naad. The naad is the lowest end of anhad that reaches us first and is also termed the guru's feet. These feet we have to grab before guru accepts and lets us climb up to embrace him.
That's just the basic description that I can give but anyone who has experienced it will give their own understandings in detail. In the very special image above, there is great association with the experience of guru's charan and the guru himself.

He may say so,...and he may be right and I might be wrong. But let me just clarify..that what I mentioned above is NOT from what flanaa or themkaraa said.. but what I know from my own experience and understanding.........
..to me, it makes sense,.... because all direction of ascension is going North and upwards towards north pole energies. The centre or core of the earth is considered loha. I don't want to be directing my energies downwards and southerly towards this loha, but I wanna be going the opposite way towards the light, ..the Gold... the kanchan. Gurbani says that the guru is Paras(philosophers stone) and can transfer you from Loha to kanchan-Gold.
This is just the way that I understand how the universe works and it doesn't make sense to me to go against or counter-cross natural energy fields.Good luck to sadhguru fella, .. but I just follow my interpretations of gurbani whenever possible.

Yes, the earth does. High spiritual energy places around the globe are also places where natural earth activity will be high; like earthquake fault lines, volcanic eruptions etc..

I don't remember the term but just like human body have meridian points I think, earth has them too and I read many major sights are actually built on them to harness the energy. So, our major Gurughars are built on them too? Ley lines, now I remember lol.
Most of the ancient sights like Giza pyramid, stonehenge, tiwanaku are built on ley lines if I remember them correctly. I always thought maybe Harmandir sahib ji is built on those energy grids too but never found on Google lol
And crop circles are so fascinating too? Our Punjab never had single one of them :(

I see what you mean,,  My meaning is that it is wise to have pillow in such direction so that when lying down; the head is in line with earths electromagnetic field, which is itself pointing North. If you look at a diagram showing these fields, you might remember that a straight energy line runs from North to South in the field.. The idea is to be parallel in this field. As for facing the pillow or having your back to it, many people don't think it matters because you are still sitting straight with your own energy fields being paralle-l as you have to remember that the direction is upwards and straight.(remember it is 3-D and not as in 2 dimensional diagram)
I hope you can see what I mean as it's tricky to explain and I'm not very good at wording this kind of stuff!

The problem is understanding what it is about......You see, I used to totally disregard it, but as I'm learning and finding my own self even more,, I now have a better understanding.      There is destiny which is written on our foreheads as gurbani tells us.. Gurbani also tells us that we have come witj past lekhas of karams that have kept us bound to lak charasi. In order to get out of the charasi cycle, we DO have the opportunity to make efforts and start over-writing our own new karams... Astrology can be accurate prediction ONLY at a given time for any person depending on seeds sown and gurmat followed.  ...

    Good points.
There is no denying that the whole alignment of stars, planets ..constellations etc... can affect us, and in return WE can also affect it.
Gurbani tells us that Gobind-master of the whole universe is Akal Purakh himself..
A single action of ours can have an affect on some object or entity in some galaxy, some thousands of light years away.
To deny the science of astrology is ignorance.
Let's just take palm reading....and the left hand is said to show what the person is born with and what is destined,..whereas the right hand shows what the person has become in relation to the seeds they have sown, new karams, deeds...etc... However, even though there is this pre-destiny written on the level of awareness of when they were born,, they can without doubt 'raise their awareness' with naam kamayee and thus constantly be changing their destiny as from what was initially written.
This is how gurbani tells us, a gurmukh wipes his own lekh and karams and thus Gobind will keep updating them along with the constant order of the universe.
Personally, I have witnessed and seen my own palm lines change in short time spans,
Gurbani doesn't say that astrology is fake or anything,  but it is all calculated with precision within principles of Cause & Effect. However,, the only astrologer that can know it all and be up to date with all the changes is Akal Purakh,..antarjami ...Gobind himself.

So, the point is that getting an astrology reading will give you some idea of what may possibly happen according to your current level of awareness. ..But if you raise that awareness with naam kamayee, then you can also change/wipe any negatives that may have been destined initially.
Gurmat tells us that we don't walk on to the stepping stones placed before us according to astrology, but we walk in hukam whilst gathering naam dhan and let Akal Purakh keep placing the newer stepping stones in front of us. We can get an astrological reading or some idea of where we are at and what may happen......... but to sit back and just take that for granted would be ignorance. ..instead we should work on raising consciousness so that changes can occur for future events to unfold with less universal negatives.

people turn to astrologers, pandits and clairvoyants  when they have no one else to turn to.
A Sikh always turns to guruji and akal purakh.
If god's superior temple the hari-mandar is within you,..then why go looking outside for answers?
Ardas, hukamnaama and his kirpa is what you should count on....and kirpa doesn't come like no lottery or pure chance, as some wrongly claim-where only some get it and others don't.......you have to 'cultivate' and sow seeds of naam kamayee in order to be kirpa's candidate.

You are not the first person that I've come across to hear straight full blown tunes during the day but I'm certain that they are signals from the devi/devtes,..sants..heavenly angels... celestial singers..or whatever you want to call them..  These are all Akaal Purakhs servants that you encounter all the way to the door.  I know that at times of uncertainty or some personal dilemnas,,  ....these angelic beings DO and wil give you subtle signals in day to day life but only you can work out what they are telling you.
Yes the sounds change and get more prominent but there does come a stage where the abyasee focuses on naad and then joins in to do the sift salah with the sant mandli. Like lots of bells/tambourine/shainey sounds....occurring at quite a fair and constant frequency?
I now realise that these different sounds occur as your prana channels start opening up and you chakras start gathering and directing the energies. These sounds are sometimes referred to as pavan shabads.
Best method is to just hear them, acknowledge them,..but not to focus or get lost in them. Keep dhyian and one-pointed concentration on the jap. I remember that I avoided myself getting too lost or distracted by listening out for what came next.
Basically, you do jap.... .some pavan sound comes along,...... you acknowledge ...and confirm to yourself that ascension is occurring....., tell yourself  to not get wrapped up in it...., continue jap whilst they are in background and... wait for the next lot.   (I'm not going to say what may come next or how long it may be, because that pre-conditioned attitude may affect your progress)..
    Good- luck ...happy japing!

Some people might claim that Nanaksar promotes idol worship, but one needs to understand that it is not very easy to start focusing on the Shabad, especially when one is a beginner in the field of spirituality. Images do assist a person during meditation.
Scientifically speaking, humans are vision dominant.

Sikhs who are nitnemi & naam abhyassi, usually take a shortcut to SAckhand, they dont have to go through the route that normal people go through.

These things like other realms, other destinations are very real, I dont know how to explain them. I have never been to Hell. lol
Its not black and white , heaven & hell, its just different forms of existence beyond this physical,
Gurbani supports the evidence of Hell, Punishment, Angels of Death or Devs who take away the soul etc.  You should learn more about it.
Looks like you have not been reading Gurbani.  Start off with SukhmaniSahib , you will learn a lot.
And look up english translation of Garud Puran online.

np,  Gur-mat is using guru's mat as per gurbani, compared to man-mat, which is mind's mat(wisdom). What you are pointing towards is a different topic from this, and it's about difference between krodh and bir-ras. The 10th master fought against oppression and righteous truth. This is done with love and not anger. Gur-mat is completely free of mind's 5 dhuts and no ego comes into play as in Bhai kanaya ji event in battlefield of seeing satguru within everyone. The 10th master bir ras approach is practiced with it's roots in spirituality. In the example you gave, there is no slapping back as per gurmat. But at our level and in this day and age, you would say "waheguru" and talk to the offender to calm their krodh instead. Bring the other's krodh down instead of mirroring their actions!  If you are spending more hours per day doing internal waheguru sift salah, then you will automatically be conducting yourself in sehaj. In sehaj, it is very difficult for someone to invoke krodh in you.

    Very good!
I totally agree that they are spiritual for self journey. But they can also be 'experienced'  in terms of your own consciousness, as to the stages that it has to ascend i it's spiritual transformation.
Funny thing is that over the years, I've done a few little self interpretations here and there that are mostly a little botched, and un-sequenced,... because I've probably taken a little bit from here and there with all the different variations that exist in sikhi world!  ...However, nowadays,... I see it a little more clearly and actually realise that all the information and facts you will ever need were mostly right there in the pauris from 34 beginning with "Rati ruti tithi var" .
DHARAM Khand, like Gurpreet says, is the 1st stage of realisation or as I would describe ->the Path of DHARAM.
Guru Nanak ji tells us,.. that we are on earth, which is itself a DHARMSAAL.     DHARAMSAAL is described as what I understand, an old "inn" or meeting place/place of rest/ some en route location. ..etc,,     This means that we ALL start here or end up here, no matter what dharam. A single Dharam is required as the path to the top of the mountain. If we imagine all the different dharams as individual paths to the top, and we can only walk on one single one all the way according to where and what situation/place we are in.   DHARAMSAAL, in it stopover sense, shows that, we/manukhs, are all here in the Dharamsaal according to our KARAMS and our binding to the Lak chaurasi joon cycle. It becomes apparent from gurbani later on, that we are all in the same lakh chaurasi cycle, and have this one-off opportunity to take DHARAM.
I may be wrong, but I understand, that as our first steps and reason for ending up in this joon; is to work on BOTH our KARAM and DHARAM. (not to confuse the 'karams' here with KARAMKHAND later on)
Overall, in these 5 khand pauris, Guruji has explained the route or journey to -->> SACHKHAND, and to which we can transform our consciousness into 'permanently'.  Sachkhand is actually existing here and everywhere because ''Sackhand vasai Nirankar'' and Nirankar is himself the creator and in the creation (remember- Farida Khalak Khalk Meh Khalk Vasay Rab Maahe "The Creator God Is In The Creation, And The Creation Abides In God" ).. He is the All-pervading, all-knowing, right here, right now. So Sachkhand is not some million miles away.

I can try explain in more depth and following the gurbani- tuks when I get more time......but in a nutshell,.... We start by taking path of DHARAM KHAND and working our KARAMS. Gurbani explains in many places after japji, that taking DHARAM and giving full devotion of self seva, self sacrificing Mat and haumai  to satguru.-->, can get you walking the mountain path in Hukam, as per gurmukh and being in 100% gurmat. This will start erasing all your karams one by one! .....  this is 1st DHARAMKHAND realm.
(Amerdeep ji  questioned of why khands are never mentioned again in bani?...and I would understand that all the bani that follows, expounds and opens up in depth of exactly how one is to transform their consciousness after taking birth on the Dharamsaal to get to Sachkhand).      Also, in another thread, I explained my understanding of the later jath pahara tirajh suniar/ Goldsmith verse as being a technique of helping you practice and realise yourself in this transforming process, by using technique of NAAM JAP. when one starts Dharam khand steps.

Second stage is GYAAN KHAND.  and this stage begins when Naad becomes manifest. (Gyan Khand meh gyan patchand, tithai NAAD binodh kod anand)...or should I say that Gyan begins at Naad. The gyaan is not just intuitive knowledge. But it is a continuous gyaan of increased awareness, consciousness expansion, ridd sidh- nau nidh and all the signals mentioned in prabh ka simran pauri of sukhmani sahib lets say... all the washing of dirt from mann, purification ,,gyaan to help power 5 dhuts   etc      Then is SARAM KHAND and KARAM KHAND, which are very close and describe the path/stage leading one up to "Sacha Darbar"  or the court of the lord. These are the heavens that are mentioned in many faiths and assumed to be final destinations,... but Guru Nanak Dev ji has given us the ultimate guide to beyond these angelic heavens and joys that sit outside the door of Waheguru's darbar. (I'm sure that heavens are not sachkhand). Saram Khand and Karam Khand  are described as being near impossible to depict or express,  but Dhan dhan Guru Nanak Dev ji sachey patshah has given the nishanees (insignias) with subtle hints in those pauris, so that they can be acknowledged and recognized to the seeker.
