SANATAN SIKHS: TRADITIONAL TO MODERN

Here is a reply to the above BOSS Email...

from what i have heard, there has been a break down in communication between certain parties.

none of the talks have been cancelled, they are all continuing as planed.

The first talk which i attended was very good, much more interesting than the boring lectures provided last week in sikhi week.

due to negative PR by certain Childish people who seem to be threatened by these seminars, they are going around intimidating people, confusing people, and circulating lies to cancel the events.

so please ignore any emails or rumours about the talks are being cancelled.

That is lie!!!!

yes for the safety of sikh societies, the events have been booked privately, as they have been warned by certain groups that they will recieve certain retributions if they supported this event..

if anybody has any questions regarding the talks, please contact the organisers them selves.

and leave these people to do what they do best, ( spread rumours and behave like children)

If this is true,

I m really shameful look at the actions of BOSS.

There was a time when i was mona. I used to look at the pictures on BOSS website... just get inspired by the pictures.

It's really sad, how successful organization like - BOSS got in hands of few wrong people that are representating BOSS.

People who retired from BOSS (senior singhs) must be really saddened too see the same BOSS now in which they did soo much seva.

But at the end of day, this is very perfect example. How politics in any seva organization can screw things up. Always good have org spiritually based and not even inch of dirty politics.

BOSS E-mail...

This is just a quick e-mail to thank you all for your help at UCL's

Sikhi Week event last Tuesday, and to further let you know the talk

that was scheduled to be held today (Tuesday 23rd November), has now

been cancelled.

This is also true for the other lectures in this series as agreed by

the relevant committees. Some of you may have heard this event may

still be taking place, but this is untrue as no Sikh societies have

been officially informed.

We apologise for any misinformation you may have received over the

course of the last two weeks. This is now the committee's final

position.

How come I didnt get an email?

I was told to post this in from my uni president.

Start

Qmul Sikh Society have been 'thrown out' of BOSS for REFUSING TO CANCEL THE EVENT.

Qmul Sikh Soc reply:

1. QMUL Sikh Soc are not affiliated to BOSS, hence we can't be thrown out.

2. QMUL Sikh Soc will not tolerate mistreatment of students by BOSS members(evidence of which we handed over to the student union)

3. QMUL Sikh Soc will not give into threats.

4. We support events conducted in a professional and academic manner. If people have problems with the lecturers, then they are invited to events for an academic debate.

Kind Regards

Jasdeep Kaur(acting President)

Amandeep Singh(acting treasurer)

End

I was there for the second talk and honestly it was great!!! Ustad Ji went through the four sampradayas and their function in the Panth as well as the notion of Dharam. It was amazing to see not only Sikhs but also Christians, Rastafarians, Ahmadiyas and even Wahabis ('It's my duty to tell you out of compassion that if you don't embrasse Islam you will go to hell':LOL::LOL::LOL: Yeah right  )

It's just a shame that some idiotic people (i.e. Boss) have prevented the talk from taking place at the original venue. But still the turn out was around 100 people!!! (nice try guys! Try harder next time!)

I sometimes wish these Boss sevadars would actually dedicate their lives to "daddy's pornmags di seva" (Yes I am talking about someone in particular    ) and leave Sikhs alone instead of accumulating bad karam for themselves.

Anyway the turnout was a success and it just goes to show that truth always prevails!

Once again, we invite these "individuals" who consider Sanatan Sikhs a threat, to turn up to the talks to debate and discuss.

We should ask ourselves, would Sikhs of the Guru:

a) threaten and intimidate women?

B) threaten, intimidate and cause violence towards those younger/weaker than them?

c) threaten families of individuals?

d) send out emails that are full of deceit and are purposely intent on DECEIVING Sangat that is seeking wisdom and truth (ie, Saadh Sangat)?

e) spread slander, rumour, gossip and hatred?

f) dish out death threats?

..if the answer is "YES" to the above, then these people have succeeded in attaining Sach Khand.

However, stepping over this primordial soup of fanaticism, insecurity, self-delusion and dribble - those who wish to pursue the way of wisdom, for them the talks will go ahead as planned, Guru Kirpa.

PS. This doesnt apply to those people sent to the talks by these fanatic individuals to keep an eye on the proceedings to report back to base...who knows, perhaps they are learning while spying

someone told me that the lecture was cool because

"erm..just the open mindness of sanatan sikhs, how they dont concentrate on the rehat so much..but more on the person n ther actions, like rehat aint be all end all"

Is that the message that u intend to convey, coz that is manmat...

surely rehat detemines the persons characteristics and actions

rehit pyaree mujko sikh pyara nahin
