I don't need Gurmukhi based punjabi. Hence, I will vote for Hindi again.

    Lol!

How does that English pani taste? Some coconut sitting in England telling us what we should or should not speak.

Now, we know why the British don't clamp down on Pakistanis. The British themselves are into it as well.

Which is back to my original point that Kesh means hair on the top of the head. One of Shri Krishans names is "Keshav" the one with the long hair. Here is a Samurai with a Jura. The beard is not so pronounced. It could be that most Japs are not capable of growing a full beard.

Back to the topic. The beauty of the guru-shisya relationship is the Guru through his own experience and knowledge can guide an individual and help avoid mistakes. The guru is a master and hence technically different than a sant or sadhu because the guru is complete. Has the credentials to teach other. The sant or sadhu is incomplete.

I liken them to a nurse and doctor. Similar field and duties that overlap but a doctor is still the expert and final say.

Vaadiyan! To all Sikhs and the entire world. Shining light in an extremely troubled time.

    ADDITION:

I did not have much time earlier to write about this auspicious day but I will now.

Men like Guru Nanak Dev ji are true Yug Purush's, if I may borrow a term from my own religion, men who by their mere presence in a particular age undoe the evil effects.

I'm told from my own granths that when the "shabad falls into disrepute" then the Supreme Lord takes birth to re-establish the law.

Guru Nanak was truly an incarnation of the Cosmic Energy that prevails in the universe and had all the qualities of a true Sat Guru.

In the presence of the satguru; Knowledge flourishes (Gyana raksha); Sorrow diminishes (Dukha kshaya); Joy wells up without any reason (Sukha aavirbhava); Abundance dawns (Samriddhi); All talents manifest (Sarva samvardhan).

And I think I spelled Vaadayan wrong!

Yes all paths lead to Krishan ji. However many people simply wander instead of traveling on the path.

Wandering meaning the wandering of the mind in thoughts, in over-thinking, over-analysis, in arguments, in vaad-vivaad, trying to prove something right or wrong.

Krishan ji is available right now, in this instant. If the mind opens up it can receive Him. But it remains closed and gets into arguments, doubts, etc.

You feel obliged to accept different forms of worship. You feel obliged because you do not understand how that form of worship could lead to Shri Krishan.

You have faith on Krishan ji's teachings. He says He will accept all forms of worship so you feel obliged to believe the same.

Atheism means to not believe in religious teachings, to not take the teaching in the form of a belief system but instead to reach such a state of mind where you may realize this teaching for yourself.

This is also the aim of Science.

This is also the aim of Philosophy.

This is also the aim of Yoga, which is really a science. It's a puratan, an older science. Older sciences tended to be qualitative, and based on descriptions of personal experience.

Let personal experience be the way which shows you the teachings of Krishan ji, how all forms of worship lead to Him etc.

You see, it's not about whether the glass is half empty of half full. In any argument, one side says the glass is half empty, and the other side says the glass is half full.

I mention this analogy because it is easy to see the foolishness of it. Actual arguments are not like this, they are much more complex with multiple layers, as you already know.

The enlightened one, bodhi, among those arguing will realize something. He will see the glass and its contents (reality) for what they are, and see the whole thing as an argument (reality), as what it is. He can see Krishan ji.

The bodhi can see that there is a ritual and there is intent. The ritual may involve putting water into an idol or dead body. The intention is to express love and longing.

The ritual is the vessel into which the intention is poured.

It's a space. And in that space, how strong is your intention?

When someone chants Hari Krishna. How strong is the love in that moment? The chant is the vessel into which immense love is to be poured in.

    (Love, attention, concentration, etc)

That same intent could be present in -

    feeding an idol.

    a breath meditation.

    bringing flowers to a temple.

    going to Church on Sunday.

    bowing down to a book.

Pretty much any activity could carry such intent.

And if that intent is then present then any and all rituals and methods of worship are approved.

Interesting but I believe all religions are an umbrella of spiritual orders. Bits and pieces from here and there. Some religions like Islam try to annihilate all traces of these different spiritual orders but Hinduism honors and even encourages them.

The Indian mentality is that they are the best in the world even if half the population shit$ in the open and goes to sleep hungry. Give an Indian a thousand examples of how is country is a $hithole and he will come up with one example of how his country has done something worthwhile and claim that it shows how great his country is.

Well, so far we have refrained from making songs about ourselves so you can'tmake the accusation of jingoism.

What I see unfortunately is a little bit of jealousy and that's too bad. It's your own mentality. I don't think we borrowed money from the sgpc to fund this mission.

I did also notice a nasty habit of not answering questions put forth to yourself. Since you compared china and are such a hamdard of the poor what do you think of the Great Leap Forward that killed 45 million. What do you think of parents having to eat their own children?

I have a different viewpoint. You need a reaffirmation of faith. Please make a visit to Harimandir Sahib and you will automatically get your motivation again. Now, there are people who will say " Pilgrimage is against our dharm" just ignore them and realize visiting religious places or even certain non-religious places may help you think clearer.

I was just like you myself. From dedicated Hindu to agnostic, atheist and back again.

Remember, as my signature says there is no failure or effort wasted. Even a litle bit of spirituality can help you. The method of worship or lack thereof will be decided by your own gunas. And cannot be dictated by others.

Hope that helps. Best of luck!
