Not sure where else to post this as its no directly a Sikhi post although the book is full of all sorts of Sikh characters and also covers the 1979 Southall Riots. It's my effort to give Punjabi Literature a British Sikh / Punjabi perspective and yes I guess that means I am self promoting, but there seems to be no other way with Punjabi related things..

I’d recommend Epistulae Morales Ad Lucilium by Seneca, definitely a good book for those who are genuinely interested in philosophy.

Gurmat is strictly against mindless violence. Sikhs can only resort to violence in Self-Defense (which includes protecting fellow human beings) and in cases, where all peaceful means have failed.

so difficult to watch these news.
People are so bad, mean and rude. Don't know what else we would watch in news in the coming years. Indian Hindus are after sikhs and Muslims in India, everyday there is a new story worse than the earlier one. Don't know how these people could act so bad.

You know that Nihangs and other Sikhs only use violence generally as a last resort ? When the Police have failed them in similar past cases ? Do you expect Indian police to do a good job when they have little integrity?
Do you think UK Policing system would be better in Panjab than Panjab Police ? Would that stop Beadbi ?
