Hanji, veer ji it does drain you out.  But i feel so compelled to write about certain topics because I have heard from Mahapurush that such things are alike to doing Nindya of Guru. I am very attached to Kaleran wale mahapurush and their bachans are like set in stone for me , so whenever I read that goes against what they taught I have this urge to spill it out. Maybe I need to control it and keep it inside. Maybe thats what I will do from now on .

this video cleared lots of doubts for me . You can also get kirpa by doing loud japa of moolmantar with mala , and speed will increase over time which was my main concern.

If the jaap or Simran is done  according to give vidhi to fulfill a wish or remove a worldly obstacle, will it have the benefit of taking you inwards or increasing the meditativeness ?
Or does the Jaap or Simran has to be done without any worldly desire for specifically going inwards ?
 

I have had this question for a while.
How much is Moolmantar Jaap different from Simran ? Does it also go into auto-made as simran does for some people? Has anyone experienced the same stillness with it that they do with Waheguru Simran ?
I have always been more attracted towards the Moolmantar Jaap than Waheguru simran, but then a doubt always arise if I should rather be focusing on Simran, and improving it.

This is my take :
Indian State has full control over media, internet & everything. They can do anything , whatever they want, however they want . They will generate false narrative through media, create stories, character assassinate you, and portray you as a criminal. Freedom of speech is convenient, whenever it suits the state. No one can even talk about their right of self determination. Laws are different for Sikhs & different for other communities.  As long as Sikhs lick the feet of government, doing bhangra, drugs, parties, Indian state is fine
 
Amritpal was a good looking mona guy who became Amritdhari, wore bana, had good sense of wit & awareness, and became role model for many who were indulging in drugs & cutting hair to impress girls. He rose to fame & popularity quickly, and this became a threat for Indian state, especially after his popularity after Ajnala incident. 
 
The force that was used in Punjab was not necessary. It was a show of intimidation against the Sikh Image. To scare anyone else from popping their head against the state and talking about a free state. Whats happening is pure human rights violation, picking up journalists & young guys who support him , throwing them in jails, taking some of his aides to Assam. 
 
I think Amritpal Singh is either already captured or will be encountered soon after shaving off his hair near some border, on the excuse of trying to cross border. Just like they disappeared the body of Sant Ji, and no one knew he was Shaheed until much later . 
Whatever is happening is very very sad, and is a attack on Sikh Image, Sikhi Parchar.
Bhagwant Mann has lost his brains and is flustered. He is getting directions from Kejriwal. He could not handle the incidents of Sidhu Moosewala, and 2 interviews of Lawrence Bishnoi, and in order to lick tatte of Amit Shah & Modi, he asked for their help , so that he can get some brownie points. 
The earthquake that shook northern India & Afghanistan is symbolic of the injustice that is happening.
Maybe something even bigger will happen, or maybe not. Maybe everyone will move on with their daily lives, and maintain the soft parchar. 
But as Guru Gobind Singh Ji says that both Rakhshas & Devte are created by Him, and this is a playground. In the end all of this is Hukam, and we are playing our roles.
Maybe Amritpal Singh was an old soul/ singh who came to this earth, indulged in the maya for a bit, did his seva for the panth for a little bit & was meant to go this way.or maybe he is hiding & strategizing his next move. 
Only time will tell. 
But indeed history repeats itself, and so many events are reminiscent of 1980s maybe in a milder form. 
I want to break from this cycle of coming again & again , who knows what the future holds, O my Mind ! Do Bhagti, listen to hukam of your Guru , and make sure to achieve the goal of this human life. Stop forgetting about your own death...time is passing away...

Niranjana keep your sarcasm to yourself. Giani Thakur Singh has had the sangat of many mahapurash and kamai wale gursikhs , and you can feel the rass from his katha as well. He doesnt make up stuff from himself. Baba Harnam Singh ji rampur khede wale used to do jaap of this shabad and that is very he learnt about the benefits of doing jaap of this shabad. He speaks from his experiences not just make up stuff.

And I haven't ever heard about sobha singh tale. and how do you know if its a myth , do you have the capability of sensing someone's spiritual advancement ?

Anything that you cannot seem to understand seems like mythical and fairy stuff to you eh. I don't have to go on convince you about anything , you have your own way of examining things or set of beliefs.

I have been guilty myself of dancing or doing Bhangra during weddings. Now that I look back at it, it looks ridiculous & embarrassing, but nothing crazy like the ones in videos in this thread. I feel cringe , wish I can go back and erase those. Maybe it's just maturity with age, or more understanding of Gurus Updesh. 
Guru ji mentions against dancing, & listening to songs/ tunes other than Gurbani. 
I think for me it was the young age, the peer pressure of mixing and validation from others, the atmosphere & the sangats effect. But thank God I have come off it, and the idea of dancing now repulses me, its ridiculous.
