I came back from india in January and have been going and actually asked the Khalistan question. Many people said that anybody running any sort of government in Punjab or Khalistan would be crooks so in reality they don't care much for Khalistan etc. Only the dumala wearing youths in Punjab which are a few want Khalistan but they are still young and naive.

99% of the sikh population in Punjab don't want an independent state. If they don't want it why do the people in the west want it?

Tell you the truth I don't give a shit about Khalistan or a sikh state etc. It's not going to be more bhagti oriented if we have a place of our own. The gurus never cared for their own kingdoms. After the battle of bhagani guru Ji could have taken so much land and called it his own territory but he didn't. This notion like we deserve a homeland is bullshit. Even if we get a sikh state it will still be run by shitheads like badal or others like him. Until we be pure then there is no point of a sikh state. Once somebody become fully pure then a sikh state does not matter anymore cause they are one with god. The only sikh state is the one where god resides permanently and we have to strive for it.

I have heard sakhis of guru tegh bahadur Ji maharaj going out for shikaar with his sikh soldiers.
We have to look at it this way that sikhi from guru Nanak dev Ji maharajs time has been martial. Look at the bani of guru Ji and it challenges authority of the Mughals and Hindu Brahmins that nobody dared to do. Then we also know that guru Ji carried a tulwar, barsha and had a chakar on their head(these relics can be seen at takhat Patna sahib).So they dressed in nihang like attire. The second guru opened up wrestling akharas for health and fitness. The fifth guru became a martyr which shows warrior like qualities. I also heard some sakhis that the 5th guru also went to do shikaar with Sikhs. Then we know about the 6th, 7th, and 10th guru keeping armies and doing battles. So why wouldn't the 8th and 9th guru keep an army? A lot of the smarmy of the 6th guru was not mercenaries. It was Sikhs of the guru. For example in the battle of bhagani pir bhudu shah gave mercenaries to guru sahib but they joined with bhim chand. So who fought then? Not the udasi's cause all of them ran away except for Kirpal udasi. It was the Sikhs who fought. The Sikhs after the 6th guru were indeed martial. We also know that the 9th guru carried shastars. Most likely the 8th guru also carried shastars.

Actually I see the opposite. In india there is a pyaar that I have seen between both groups. Not to sure about how they like each other in mahrashtra but in Punjab they like each other etc. The dasam Granth paath bodh samagam was done by the help of both nihangs and taksalis.

I have been to india in the past few years and I have seen that people put their sant as god. Some even say that Sants are higher than the guru. They matha tek to the Sants etc. Many of the Sants are real Sants who do bhagti but their chelas are crazy. I would get beat by some chelas if I didn't respect their sant.

Guru Ji asked for 5 heads and the Singhs rose to the occasion but in my opinion the 5 Singhs were already predetermined by the guru. The guru is anterjami so he knew which Singhs will come.

In gurbani a person has to look at the context of what the shabad is saying. Not every time the word bhagauti is used means its the goddess... The example I'm gonna give you is gonna will hopefully clear your misguidedness..

This discussion should be framed in the overall context that to do seva is a privilege, and not a right.

If either a man or woman go # 2 they have to wash before sitting in tabiya. If somehow, someway, it was only women that had to go #2, then the feminists would say that it is wrong to force women to wash before sitting at tabiya. Why? In my lowly opinion I think god is a being with both good and bad. I cannot attribute god to only good cause then that would mean that there is some other entity that controls the bad such as how the Christians say satan is the controller of bad. That would mean that something can challenge god. In my opinion i want a god to be all powerful. God is good and bad. God is kind and cruel. We are trying to put god into a box and label it. God is the king and god is the monk and god is the prey and god is the predator etc.

Most likely, Sikhs such as Baba Uday Singh jee (Athrathi)), Baba Alam Singh jee Nachna (Athrathi)), Baba Bachitar Singh jee (Athrathi), Baba Maan Singh jee (Athrathi), Baba Ghaniya jee (Saint), Baba Jeevan Singh jee (Athrathi)), Baba Mani Singh jee (Saint/scholar and later Shaheed), etc were present there.

Why hasn't He made us like Himself so that we also neither think wrong nor do wrong?
There is no fun in that for god. Just think like god was alone and bored, so he programmed a single player game called "The life" which has drama, sex, bliss, sorrow, joy all that. We are all players in this game, There are levels in this game, the final level is human body. Goal is to finish game on individual level and got out of game and reward is eternal bliss and cup of tea in the company of god. The game finishers individuals will never have to play this game again. If you did not finish the game in human lifetime, what level you have to start playing again only god knows.
Bottom line is god is very kind, the moment game start from level 1, lets call it big bang and when it reaches human level say X, then the kindness of god comes into play, at that moment onwards from time to time, he sends cheat codes and manuals lets call them saints to tell the game players the goal of the game and ways to complete it. But we don't listen, thats how strongly he coded the game.

In my opinion mankind does not have free will. Then somebody can say why is God making that thing kill the other thing etc. I give the example of a boy who has toy shoulders and he controls both sides. The boy kills the toys according to how he likes it and so is God. God is the maker of chess and God is playing the chess game with himself. It's a game for akaal purkh.

Sant gurbachan Singh, sant baba kartar Singh, sant baba jarnail Singh, sant baba nand Singh, sant baba isher singh(both kaleran and rara sahib vale), sant baba harnam Singh Ji rampurkhere and many more Sants still kept sucham even after they have reached brhamgyani di paadvi. So did the gurus but the gurus also broke dogma.

That's the whole issue. The bibi's can do paath when they are on their periods just don't sit in tabia of guru sahib when on period. Even my sister and mother abstain from doing seva when they are on their periods but do simran and nitnem still.
